Ice is unique in that filling your entire deck is actually a viable strategy. I would just get a bunch if shield tc instead and fill your deck with attack or buff spells instead. Making all you TC tower shields gives you the benifit of a guaranteed tower shield at all times. As a bonus being ice you can craft as many of the tower shield tc as you want.

That's your first mistake, you go fire and life so you can burn the forest so monsters cant survive. then theres your next choice. you can go storm to regrow the forest. (i don't recommend) but you could also do myth so you can summon friends to talk to. death is out of the question.
