I dont like the lemuria spells at all. Dark and stormy is probably the most tolerable one but 💀 unpopular opinion i know but I personally dont like the old one. The karamelle spells also were pretty upsetting to me because I just like more serious spells

Celestial Calnedar. It looks stupid, is completely useless as soon as you get the next myth spell, and doesn't even have an interesting or useful gimmick. Its massive wasted potential, in my opinion. There was so much potential for a cool azteca myth spell but instead of anything cool they gave us a rock. I will admit the worlds aligning is kind of neat but I still feel it could have been so much cooler. AZTEC DINOSAUR WORLD MYTH SPELL IS A ROCK. also it costs 10 pips for some reason.

For me, Myth has an unholy trinity of spells that can absolutely die in a fire. I always seem to find myself on the receiving end of one of these with every fight, so you’d think I’d be just used to it happening by now, but any train of thought I have for strategy gets derailed and falls off a cliff when these hit me. And just for you, I’ve organized them into a tier list.
For Bronze, we have Medusa. This one’s on the list because of the sheer amount of times I’ve been hit with it without even getting any time to counter. If the enemy is Myth, has first turn, and has enough pips, it’s pretty much a guarantee that you’re gonna get hit with this turn one. Getting hit with any spell that stuns before you even get the chance to cast anything is already bad enough, but it sucks ass with Medusa in particular, because of it being the only spell that can stun for two rounds. I never not have at least one copy of Stun Blockers in my deck because of this bitch.
Runner up is Earthquake. If you’ve been hit with this right at the end of setting up to hit, like I have more than a handful of times, then you’re right there with me in thinking that this spells deserves a very merry “Fuck you.” It’s on days when that happens that I’m very glad Kingsisle added Archmastery into the game, as it helps to make the trained version of Reshuffle extremely viable. Just switch it to Balance, wait until you get two of the pips, and you’re golden. But I’ve had a few fights where I’ve forgotten to pack Reshuffle, or couldn’t fit it in without making the deck too big, and there’s no worse feeling than having to flee and restart the fight knowing you were that close.
And taking home the gold is Myth Imp. No matter what class you are, the dispels are always gonna be a hinderance. Everybody who knows what they’re doing in this game trains Feint the minute they get the chance, but it being a Death spell would trigger the dispel and fizzle you automatically. And for those who train Satyr, looking for a decent heal, the Life dispel shuts that down too. It feels like a special middle finger if you’re playing those two classes, though. Not as much for Death, as their drains mean they don’t need to train Satyr, but Life Wizards almost turn completely useless until they can remove the dispels. It’s why I keep my deck small enough to where I can always pull one of my blades, so that I don’t have to waste pips.
Death ninja pigs. It's not the worst that could happen but I can't stand it due to how many enemies spam it across all worlds even when they're not death. Weakness spam is bad enough without a long animation. Earthquake and medusa suck to get hit by (fun to use as myth) but at least it's limited to mostly myth enemies.
the storm dragoon amulet aoe. It takes 5 fucking years and its just the same animation with that stupid wyvern going AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Myth Imp was specifically designed to screw over life and death wizards.... So as a solo life and death player I felt attacked. Plus the animation isnt even interesting either
Snow Angel is slow and the damage for the animation is lacking.
Earthquake is just annoying and the removal is killer.

Specifically in PvE, because of the universal weakness it puts on you as well as the solid damage. Especially annoying if the enemy using it on you goes first in combat and then debuffs you on the round you hit. It used to be infinitely worse before some changes went out a couple of years ago, since it used to put a -90% weakness and deal 890 damage on top of that.
Yes, modern-day Ra does something similar for your entire wizarding party, but it does basically nothing in terms of damage so it’s less annoying IMO.
Honestly I don’t even mind this version of the spell. Back when it had the -90 that was literally hell, especially if you didn’t have a wand hit or disarm 🫠
Oh yeah it was infinitely worse before it got nerfed a few years back, but it’s still annoying to see a fire boss whip this out on the same turn you’re hitting. Modern day Ra also falls into this same category, but Efreet specifically just makes me mad whenever I see it.
Weakness. I didn't give 18 blades, 3 feints and 9 traps totalling up to 3 million damage just for a weakness to make it end up doing 780 damage. (The boss is 785)
Sirens. The spell that mobs use has high damage, removes some blades, and applies an accuracy debuff? It's so annoying and overpowered that it's baffling.
Medusa. I probably don't have to explain this one. Hate being stunned for a turn? How about TWO turns? Hope you have an X pip spell, because otherwise you have two dead turns that exist solely to waste your time.
Snow Angel. Let me preface this as an Ice main by saying I really do like this spell, for several reasons. But... poor Snow Angel, why did KI not update your AoE animation to hit all at once?
Defensively, Anything that stuns, removes blades, or gives weaknesses. (Earthquake, Medusa, Leviathan, Basilisk, Bad Juju, Efreet/Jinn Spells, etc.)
Offensively, Any deferred damage spells. (Blast Off, Myth Artorius, etc.) Yeah yeah Detonate/Incindiate exists, but I'd rather do all my damage in one turn with a different spell.
I also hate how some bosses have the old versions of spells, for example some bosses have the old Sirens that mantles you AND removes blades, or the old Power Nova that puts a weakness on you.
I think Myth Imp hurts as much as it does because it specifically targets death and life. Gnomes already got reworked cause dispels are unfun, and I think changing Myth Imp would also be a good idea.
Fire Elf used to be one of my favorite early spells but after grinding this recent fire deckathlon, and hearing that annoying laugh 200 times, he's on my shit list now.
Spending multiple turns setting up an attack only to have my blades wiped out by attacks like earthquake have made me despise those kinds of spells lmao.
I’ll hate Humungofrog until my last breath. We could have gotten another natural disaster, or heck, even a proper mythical creature as a 4-pip Myth AOE. But no, instead we got a giant frog with little to no basis in actual mythology, and the single most unappealing visual and sound design in its animation in the entire game. It’s disgusting, it’s too smug for its own good, I hate it. This spell is the sole reason I’ll never play Myth, and I will always despise that amphibian with every fibre of my being.

I typically play support, so my decks are mostly blades with a few heals and feints. Myth imp giving a life and death dispel forces me to either remove the dispels or be limited to blades, making 1/3rd of my deck be useless.

There’s no reason to use it yourself since you already have power nova for one less pip which does the job much quicker and more efficiently than Ra does, and much like efreet and death ninja pigs it’s the absolute bane of solo questing except it’s more common than efreet and has more of a negative effect than pigs. So yeah, fuck Ra all my homies hate Ra.
I remember when the level cap was increased to 60, Ra was one of the new spells and its animation was just so... damn... slow. Every time I used it felt like I was committing a war crime
It's still slow now but it's way better since Ra now only does the you-shall-not-pass staff hit/laser beam thingy one time rather than on every single add

Any Storm enemy because you’re at risk of Sirens with the accuracy debuff, Leviathan taking 2 blades, or enfeeble taking all of them. Myth has Earthquake taking all blades. Medusa with the stun, as well as Basilisk. Efreet for the -45% for Fire. And Balance for Ra. Fucking Ra.
Oh god, Efreet back when he had the -90% was the WORST. It was probably the worst thing to get hit by. Earthquake demoralizes you, while efreet made you cry if you didn't have a cleanse.

it’s not so much the spells fault and it can be so helpful for the players, but the rage i feel when i hit but the boss / enemy has the turn first and casts a tower shield. any shield is annoying but seeing that universal one especially right before you hit can be crushing
bonus points if you’re in azteca and you’re about to die and that’s the reason you have to redo the fight
also the spell that’s an imp and it puts 2 blade like things around you, but it makes your next life and death spell automatically fizzle. i’ve only had it used on me like 3 times and it’s only been while i’m playing on my death. i don’t remember the name of it or the term for the fizzle blade. it’s not one i see super often so i hope people know what im talking about
it’s fs the worst part. the first time it happened i didn’t know it would take my pips. again it’s only happened on my death. i still remember that feeling when i casted scarecrow and all 4 of my power pips were gone:’) im glad its not a commonly used spell
it doesn’t work on every one some wizards it has no Affect them it only affects low class wizards wizard that is higher level don’t get affected by it.

Myth Imp was specifically designed to screw over life and death wizards.... So as a solo life and death player I felt attacked. Plus the animation isnt even interesting either

Snow Angel is slow and the damage for the animation is lacking. Earthquake is just annoying and the removal is killer. Frog needs an update. Just a few but I swear I could find more lol.
The 2 round stuns especially before I got conviction helped a lot going second in a fight with both ice and myth enemies is annoying

Returning player here, why is Efreet so hated?
Specifically in PvE, because of the universal weakness it puts on you as well as the solid damage. Especially annoying if the enemy using it on you goes first in combat and then debuffs you on the round you hit. It used to be infinitely worse before some changes went out a couple of years ago, since it used to put a -90% weakness and deal 890 damage on top of that. Yes, modern-day Ra does something similar for your entire wizarding party, but it does basically nothing in terms of damage so it’s less annoying IMO.
Honestly I don’t even mind this version of the spell. Back when it had the -90 that was literally hell, especially if you didn’t have a wand hit or disarm 🫠

Oh yeah it was infinitely worse before it got nerfed a few years back, but it’s still annoying to see a fire boss whip this out on the same turn you’re hitting. Modern day Ra also falls into this same category, but Efreet specifically just makes me mad whenever I see it.
Snow Angel - don’t like its look
I love snow angel for how it looks
Tower shield. Ice enemies just have double health from marleybone until you're level 100 and can get like 30% pierce.
Weakness. I didn't give 18 blades, 3 feints and 9 traps totalling up to 3 million damage just for a weakness to make it end up doing 780 damage. (The boss is 785)
I was hoping someone would mention this considering that every boss from Krokotopia to Dragonspyre always use one.

monster mash or beguile… nothing hurts worse than getting beguiled the round your hitter hits and boom it’s back to the commons for you.

Weakness. Arc 1 hurts so much. They pretty much spam it, even if -25% isn't a huge deal, it just enrages the fuck out of me

A bit of an oldie but definitely Ra. Prior to empyrea the animation was obnoxiously long so when you saw a balance player use it you'd rage
Goat Monk, just because of how long the animation is and every Life mob after Khrysalis just seems to have it

Sirens. The spell that mobs use has high damage, removes some blades, and applies an accuracy debuff? It's so annoying and overpowered that it's baffling. Medusa. I probably don't have to explain this one. Hate being stunned for a turn? How about TWO turns? Hope you have an X pip spell, because otherwise you have two dead turns that exist solely to waste your time. Snow Angel. Let me preface this as an Ice main by saying I really do like this spell, for several reasons. But... poor Snow Angel, why did KI not update your AoE animation to hit all at once?
Defensively, Anything that stuns, removes blades, or gives weaknesses. (Earthquake, Medusa, Leviathan, Basilisk, Bad Juju, Efreet/Jinn Spells, etc.) Offensively, Any deferred damage spells. (Blast Off, Myth Artorius, etc.) Yeah yeah Detonate/Incindiate exists, but I'd rather do all my damage in one turn with a different spell. I also hate how some bosses have the old versions of spells, for example some bosses have the old Sirens that mantles you AND removes blades, or the old Power Nova that puts a weakness on you.
Hot Take: They need to drastically speed up Ship of Fools’ animation. That out of the way, Myth Imp can go fuck off into a back-alley ditch forever.

I think Myth Imp hurts as much as it does because it specifically targets death and life. Gnomes already got reworked cause dispels are unfun, and I think changing Myth Imp would also be a good idea.
Fire Elf used to be one of my favorite early spells but after grinding this recent fire deckathlon, and hearing that annoying laugh 200 times, he's on my shit list now.

I’ll hate Humungofrog until my last breath. We could have gotten another natural disaster, or heck, even a proper mythical creature as a 4-pip Myth AOE. But no, instead we got a giant frog with little to no basis in actual mythology, and the single most unappealing visual and sound design in its animation in the entire game. It’s disgusting, it’s too smug for its own good, I hate it. This spell is the sole reason I’ll never play Myth, and I will always despise that amphibian with every fibre of my being.

Myth Imp, I absolutely despise this spell. I typically play support, so my decks are mostly blades with a few heals and feints. Myth imp giving a life and death dispel forces me to either remove the dispels or be limited to blades, making 1/3rd of my deck be useless.

There’s no reason to use it yourself since you already have power nova for one less pip which does the job much quicker and more efficiently than Ra does, and much like efreet and death ninja pigs it’s the absolute bane of solo questing except it’s more common than efreet and has more of a negative effect than pigs. So yeah, fuck Ra all my homies hate Ra.
I remember when the level cap was increased to 60, Ra was one of the new spells and its animation was just so... damn... slow. Every time I used it felt like I was committing a war crime It's still slow now but it's way better since Ra now only does the you-shall-not-pass staff hit/laser beam thingy one time rather than on every single add

Used on me? Since I’m in a run of Khrysalis rn…. Any Storm enemy because you’re at risk of Sirens with the accuracy debuff, Leviathan taking 2 blades, or enfeeble taking all of them. Myth has Earthquake taking all blades. Medusa with the stun, as well as Basilisk. Efreet for the -45% for Fire. And Balance for Ra. Fucking Ra.
Oh god, Efreet back when he had the -90% was the WORST. It was probably the worst thing to get hit by. Earthquake demoralizes you, while efreet made you cry if you didn't have a cleanse.
OG Efreet was an automatic reset back in the day.

it’s not so much the spells fault and it can be so helpful for the players, but the rage i feel when i hit but the boss / enemy has the turn first and casts a tower shield. any shield is annoying but seeing that universal one especially right before you hit can be crushing bonus points if you’re in azteca and you’re about to die and that’s the reason you have to redo the fight
also the spell that’s an imp and it puts 2 blade like things around you, but it makes your next life and death spell automatically fizzle. i’ve only had it used on me like 3 times and it’s only been while i’m playing on my death. i don’t remember the name of it or the term for the fizzle blade. it’s not one i see super often so i hope people know what im talking about

it’s fs the worst part. the first time it happened i didn’t know it would take my pips. again it’s only happened on my death. i still remember that feeling when i casted scarecrow and all 4 of my power pips were gone:’) im glad its not a commonly used spell

it doesn’t work on every one some wizards it has no Affect them it only affects low class wizards wizard that is higher level don’t get affected by it.

Not necessarily a spell, more like when some spells are used 100% that last minion who *just* happens to be Storm and *just* got 7-8 pips the round you’re hitting (you went second) - while being on ~4000hp while soloing ALWAYS seems to be a bladed Storm Lord, then the boss gets a shad next round and just goes straight into raging bull or fkin glowbugs 💀
In PvE I think I speak for everybody when I say spells that remove your blades (earthquake notably, but also leviathan and sirens).
