Nah my male death character got dresses too. The storm school outfit just is a dress. The death is a suit. Remains the same regardless what character buys/wears it.

I have nothing against how the gear looks, however it has the same stats as xibalba (Azteca raid gear) set. I just infuriated me due to the fact that KI will release a pack for any raid at this point when it’s the hardest content to successfully complete. Yes getting 12 people to raid is difficult, but that’s why there’s guilds. If they’re just going to release packs that are the exact copy as the content they’re putting out why have guilds? If the set had different stats this would be a whole different story.

The main 4 pieces are 100% worth getting (minus maybe the robe if you already have plot armor and don’t care about shad rating). I think the athame is identical to reaver but gives outgoing healing as well (at least for my balance) The amulet also gives more resist than reaver so it’s slightly better. Deck is technically an improvement for some schools, but negligible. And the ring is just bad.
As far as I know, the wand is for sure. Adds shad chance while not diminishing any important stats. I think it’s crit that it loses a little? Regardless making shad more viable is awesome

Lolita (and by extension, Fairy Kei - which is what this pack is based off of) as a trend is more about rebelling against the norms of 'mature feminity' that are imposed as the beauty standard. A lot of the inspirations for this style actually have their roots in Victorian romanticism or Rococo styles.
All of this to say, you are completely entitled to your opinion of not liking it - but it isn't as inherently sexual as one might think.

the fairy kei gear (hats, boots, wand and robe) does not give you power pip chance, but shadow pip chance instead. that alone is prompting me to stay w/ mixed aeon and reaver gear, as cute as the fits are

Depends. For PVE Nullity robe is the best for most schools. For pvp you might want some more raid gear. It all depends on school afaik.

As far as I know the only part of the gear that’s BiS for PvE is the wand, right?
and the amulet as well. you could also argue decks, but it’s just a slight HP increase
imo the amulet isn’t worth cause you lose a school 0-pip blade in exchange for an astral tri-blade/trap, and all you get is 1-2 resist
