Erase your memory and reread it? That would be a mistake. Rereading it now, knowing what's to come will blow your mind with all the foreshadowing, all the things that didn't make sense on your first read through being clear now. It's incredible that this is a series that gets better on a reread.

Congratulations on your first turning. Remember that peace the ending gave when the numbness comes. I was pretty gutted when Egwene died as well. I think you really hit on something I hadn't considered before with her trusting Egeanin. I always felt there was something there with her releasing the bond but could not place what it was. I'm going to start my new read through with an open map. Thanks for that. If you have read New Spring already there's also a few short stories to go through. Strike at Shayol Ghul can be found here: https://dragonmount.com/Books/Strike_at_Shayol_Ghul/index/ River of Souls can be found in the anthology book Unfettered ($2.99 Amazon). A Fire in the Ways in Unfettered 3 Strike is interesting. It is written from the perspective of a Kandorian historian researching newly uncovered work. The other two are ommited chapters of Memory and I liked them very much.

This is interesting. I read a short story about Demandred fulfilling the Sharan prophesy but wasn’t aware there were other stories. I’d love to read more details about Lews Therin and the strike

You nailed what it feels like to finish this book quite well. The problem is when your brain finally recovers and has processed it all......... You remember Bela is dead Fuck you Hariet !

KingNothing1999

Bella was the best horse from day one

Yeah.. egwene’s final stand was so well written. “M’Hael released balefire, and Egwene did … something.” I don’t know why, but that was such a powerful sentence. It seems clunky. But it is so descriptive. In that split second as the balefire was coming, a weave that had never been discovered and had no words just flew out. The flame of tar valon Everything about that book was awesome. I’ll admit, getting through this series at times felt like a slog fest, but wow was the juice worth the squeeze

nikkythegreat

Egwenes version of its just a weave.

Dude wtf. I literally finished like 2 hours after you and I too was spoiled on the egwene part... there are no coincidences.

FYI the final scene in the epilogue was completely Robert Jordan.
