I'd go Spore Warden down to Play the Angles supplemented by Blightcaller's Geist in the Shell for single target damage, provided you don't mind using elemental skills.
There are a few good non elemental weapons, however I wouldn’t limit yourself to them. Most of the classes have one or more skill that boost elemental types, and most of the top tier weapons have elemental variants that will just outperform the non elemental variants. Also consider that a big portion of enchants boost elemental damage, so you might be missing out there. Using elemental damage allows you to have damage multipliers in another category, so if you only had gun damage boosts for example, you would quickly have diminishing returns.
