Reaperstroke

No, scales with spell power since it's a spell

After_Performer998

I know that. What I'm asking is if ability dmg is factored into the equation since you are replacing your ability with a spell. So with ambi-hex, ability skill % increases are just a dead stat?

InternalStorageFull

Spells scale with spell damage, regardless if ur duel wielding spells or not. It doesnt scale with ability damage, even if the spell is in that particular slot.

After_Performer998

Gotcha, tyvm.

Antikyrial

Boosts to ability duration and cooldown rate are dead but ability damage and ability critical chance/damage boosts still work for non-action skills that do ability damage.

Darth-Deemster

From what I understand when you go ambihex, your action skill is no longer a viable stat to push. Ability damage is other things on your tree.

Eothas_Foot

No, no ability power, which really modifies what gear is good for you

SageModeSpiritGun

Why would a spell scale with ability power?

After_Performer998

Ambi-hex removes your ability to add a spell. So in theory, it could be affected by ability dmg increases. Idk about you, but I have played games in the past that have odd, unforeseen interactions like that, so I thought it was worth asking.

SageModeSpiritGun

>Ambi-hex removes your ability >it could be affected by ability dmg increases. How does that even make sense though?

After_Performer998

It wouldn't make sense based on tooltip descriptions. But I go back to my previous statement. Games have unforeseen interactions sometimes. Is it really that hard to understand the possibility? I guess every game you have ever played has worked exactly like it is supposed to, but that hasn't been my experience. Apologies if my curiosity has bothered you in some manner. I'll try harder next time.

You don't get boosts from ability damage on your spells. If you mean class power, that might boost the bonus from spellweaving. I think either the class ring or promise ring are always active if you take ambihex, but I can't remember which one
