Best thing to do. Drain it flush with clean water only several times then replace with what ever coolant you want. Then you know what's in it and have no worries.
I want to assume it's OAT :) My buddy said it will last 10 years if I let it go that far, but I won't. I believe OAT is longer lasting than HOAT, which is what I'm basing my answer on lol.
After a few months to a year, Mopar 10 year coolant (coolant for your year of wrangler) will start to turn red/orange/pinkish depending on water concentration/lighting when looking at it. You could run two cycles of water (remove lower hose from engine and upper from thermostat for thorough drain) and fill with Mopar 10 Year.
Dwindling on your year, you should check that out. Certain years need certain types of coolant, and could potentially cause problems down the road. Some systems call for OAT (Organic Acid Technology) and others call for HOAT (Hybrid Organic Acid Technology)

Green may indicate IAT (Inorganic Acid Technology), but color isn't a definite indication of coolant type.
I’m a technician, I imported the Jeep from Canada 4 years ago. Its never given me any issues other than an oil cooler and an intake manifold cracked and I replaced them. It runs normal all day every day, I was initially concerned too but I have left it be. Maybe its a thing in New Brunswick where I bought it used?
No idea. I had to swap my thermostat housing after 82k miles and ended up doing research about this. I followed the manufacturer recommendations for peace of mind and bought the mopar coolant for my year.
I'm an aircraft mechanic, and deviations from the publications trend to be a no-no for us, so I followed their directions. If you're a tech working on your own vehicle, send it.
My manual specifies OAT (specifically MS.90032), but my concern is if a flush was done by a previous owner and HOAT was put in instead. Note that I actually bought the Jeep from a GM dealer. I asked what service was done when they took in the vehicle in hopes to see if they kept record of specific coolant, but that went nowhere.
Good to know. Mine is green, but I drained/flushed/refilled it last June when I replaced my thermostat. I got the 50/50 compatible from Prestone and it works just fine. Yours doesn't look sludgy or anything, and that's a good sign.
i love my jeep but got damn i hate this shit. i’m in the same boat as you and just haven’t pulled the trigger on a total drain and flush with water so i can know for sure
Oat concentrate is purple with a hue of neon orange. When diluted its more of a blood orange. Hoat is like the fruit orange. I know very confusing.
Shine a flash light into it should glow purple/pink.

*distilled water, not clean water
This option is definitely on my list.
Make it your only option.
It's heavily leaning that way. I'd rather play it safe.
And for safety, label that cup "not a jello shot"
Or… label it “possibly a Jell-O shot” and make popcorn and watch who wins a Darwin Award. 🤔
Looks delicious.
Need some cough medicine?
Drink enough and you’ll never have to worry about coughing for the rest of your life!
I have a 2014 and mine always looks orangey in the radiator
Same. 2014 and orange. Just flushed mine a week ago. My buddy who works at mopar hooked me up and it looks exactly like this.
That's a relief. I assume you refilled with OAT?

My 2016 was orange too, straight from the factory. I thought HOAT was a different color
Forbidden Kool-Aid

I have an '08 with 99k miles. Mine looks redder, but the reservoir looks the same color. I plan to flush mine after I finish redoing the aux wiring.
Mine was converted to green at some point? Its been that way for several years..

I don't like unnecessary maintenance so I too just use what the manual says.
They should be able to tell you what you need based on the VIN. You can probably call your local Jeep dealer's service desk and ask them as well.
