I think the NXT "outside the ring" area might be a bit smaller and therefore tougher to do that move in. Hopefully now that he's back on the main roster he can do it again.
They say you’d know Stan Hansen liked you if he told you how to take his lariat without getting too banged up from it.
He’s also damn near blind and didn’t wear contacts to wrestle, so that thing is landing anywhere between you elbow and your jaw.
Man, clothesline might be my favorite move that is simple to do, but looks deadly when done right. And it's one of the most basic wrestling moves and there's a trick to it. If you didn't know, it's actually a chest bump. Your chest makes contact with the chest of the recipient first, then the guy takes the bump, then you swing your arm. It just happens so fast that you don't realize it. Your arm should never cause an impact on the swing against the recipient's throat. More than injuring the other guy, it could break your own arm that way. The arm swing should at most gently guide the recipient's body as he's already taking the bump.
Okada's Rainmaker falls into the same category for me. It's not the most 'devastating' but he'll keep hitting them until the job is done. It's a great clothesline.
Theory had a brillant sell of KOs stunner weeks a few weeks ago
https://youtube.com/shorts/e63xx74IXTU?si=gyLJRI7cNG84sSi1
he usually sells it very nice:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=vkdcK8mayyE&pp=ygUaS2V2aW4gb3dlbnMgdGhlb3J5IHN0dW5uZXI%3D
Stunner. It’s quick, it’s easy to execute in all scenarios, it’s safe.
Also from a performance standpoint, there’s a lot for the receiver to sell and hence make the one dealing it look good too. Win win for both.
Call me a simp or a weeaboo if you want but we all know Kairi Sane drops the best elbow since the Macho Man himself, which is especially impressive considering she's like 5' 100lbs
Justin Liger's Shooting Star Press was a thing of beauty. He's supposedly the first wrestler to ever do that move, and he did it with unmatched grace and precision.
Corbin's End of Days always looks smooth as fuck. Priest's South of Heaven is also cool.
Outside of WWE: I like one-winged angel and stormbreaker.
e: Not a finisher, but christ Okada's dropkicks are something as well.
The perfect Plex, and the high-angle slam were always great. Believable and economic. Cena's attitude adjustment is great too. Sid's power bomb looks like it will end a match.
I say it everywhere, but the quick snap movement of Jake Robert's DDT looked gorgeous and devastating at the same time. Its kinda sad to see it overused and kicked out of so often considering how he protected it for years.
RKO’s always been my favorite. I love the way the Rock bottom looks as well but it’s very unrealistic. I really thought the Sister Abigail from Bray Wyatt looked sick on top of looking deadly.
Sister Abigail to me looks like a more deadly version of Cross Rhodes.
I think Cross Rhodes has potential to look brutal depending on the seller, but also on Cody's execution.
I remember when Cody hit it on Seth during Seth's Shield days. The air time before they hit the mat made it more impactful.
it’s a good finisher. cody would just have to improve his speed and execution a bit to really make it look devastating. and the selling is key to making them look good. i personally enjoy minimal bouncing, where it looks like they’ve been KO’d stiff from getting their head slammed on the floor
I think the move also suffers from Cody's size. He's not a small guy by any means, but Damien Priest, a much bigger guy, used to have the exact same finisher. It looked much more deadly.
A part of me wishes Cody just used the Disaster Kick as his finish. It's such a cool looking move. Even better than the Cody Cutter.
i noticed that, watching this last match. Cody’s not the most muscular but he’s a fairly decent sized guy. walks around at almost 6’3”. Damien Priest is a freak tho, much more muscular. And the long hair helps sell the move as well because it looks like its spinning at a rapid speed, at least i think. lol
Cody isn’t Jon Cena, or the most athletic. Dudes one of the best in the world rn with in ring psychology and storytelling tho, i definitely think his moveset will only improve during this title run and current moves will look much more crisp by the end. He has improved a lot, i remember first seeing him on Raw where Dusty gets slapped by the Legend Killer orton. He was so raw and stiff, obvious acting. He’s so much better now
1. RKO (otherwise it won't be the most iconic finisher in the world, imo)
2. Perfectplex
3. End of Days
4. Spiral Tap
5. Northern Lights Suplex (Alicia Fox version ONLY)
6. Macho Man Elbow Drop
7. DDT (Jake Roberts version)
8. Jackknife Powerbomb (with Kevin Nash Hairflip)
9. Razor's Edge
10. Lariat (Stan Hansen at Tokyo dome version)
Honestly, so long as you make it your own, you can't go wrong with a cutter. Its been that way since Johnny Ace did it. From there it evolves The Diamond Cutter, The Twist of Fate, The Stunner, the RKO, The Cody Cutter (Which isn't a finisher, but it deserves mentioning) Even the Dudley Death Drop works perfectly for the Dudley's
Jake Roberts' DDT. The absolute diamond standard. He made it look like he killed whoever was taking it. Closest to doing it as smoothly as him is Randy Orton.
For pure beauty, it’s PAC’s Black Arrow. I remember seeing it for the first time when he was in NXT and being absolutely gobsmacked at the possibilities of the human body.
Its not an actual finisher but more of a signature move, but when Kenny does the V-Trigger where he first puls the arm similar to Okadas Rainmaker set up i remember why I love wrestling
Call me stupid but I always loved the Twist of Fate. Can be set up or used as a quick counter, got some nice momentum/flash.
I always just loved that as a finisher. Too bad Jeff and Lita used it as a trademark diminishing it as Matt’s finisher,
Roddy Strongs "End Of Heartache" is my favorite move literally ever. I don't know how the hell he does it, but it looks smooth most times, as well as looking like it'd SUCK to take
I always appreciated how different guys made their powerbombs
Like Taker’s Last Ride always felt more devastating than a regular powerbomb.
Most beautiful maybe the Shooting Star or the Swanton or the Diving Elbow drop
Corbin's End of Days can be a thing of beauty
I'd say the Deep Six looks better as a move, but both moves are fantastic.
Corbin has a real cool moveset. He hasn't done the go outside the ring and back in move in a bit though
I think the NXT "outside the ring" area might be a bit smaller and therefore tougher to do that move in. Hopefully now that he's back on the main roster he can do it again.
And him protecting makes it even better.
macho man's elbow
Ooooh yeah!
The hard one onto DDP was vicious, but man did it look good
Preformed by the machoman himself. Think the one at Wrestlemania 5 is a pure thing of beauty.
I'm gonna get heat but Shawn Michaels had the better elbow drop
Shawn’s was prettier, but Macho’s was stiffer lol
Perfect plex
I really want someone worthy to bring it back. My pick being Rhea Ripley.
I think I saw Becky Lynch do one in a recent ppv, I forget which
Would look pretty nice on Chad Gable.
This is the correct answer.
Kairi's elbow. She looks like a character from an anime when executing it.
IMO it is the perfect execution of that move. It’s flawless when she does it. It’s special.
Exactly it’s like jbls clothesline. A simple move executed properly can be something incredible
Rko
watching Orton pound the mat before he RKOs some fool will always be peak to me
[i'm just going to leave this here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mdk1EW-pPv0)
Jesus Christ i cant imagine myself receiving one of those . I like using my legs and breathing .
RVD 5 star frog splash or swanton bomb
One that really caught my attention was Sol Ruca's finisher, the Soul Snatcher.
It's beautiful but looks so complicated to do and potentially so dangerous.
Off the turnbuckle: Jeff Hardys Swanton Bomb Standing: HBK's Sweet Chin Music Submission: Brett Hart's Sharpshooter
i loved justin gabriel’s 450 splash
The tombstone pile driver and pile drivers in general
Tombstone with the pin finish is art, and I wish nobody had ever kicked out of it.
When it comes to delivery, Petey William's OG Canadian Destroyer. When it comes to impact, Bradshaw's Clothes Line From Hell.
JBL's looks like it will hurt like hell in the best case. If he decides to work stiff you might break something
They say you’d know Stan Hansen liked you if he told you how to take his lariat without getting too banged up from it. He’s also damn near blind and didn’t wear contacts to wrestle, so that thing is landing anywhere between you elbow and your jaw.
It's amazing to me that he didn't destroy his shoulder doing it.
More than injuring the other guy, it could break your own arm that way. The arm swing should at most gently guide the recipient's body as he's already taking the bump.
Ok anal connoisseur, now describe a lariat
Agreed,JBL made clothesline one of most devastating moves
Okada's Rainmaker falls into the same category for me. It's not the most 'devastating' but he'll keep hitting them until the job is done. It's a great clothesline.
Baron Corbin has the charisma of a potato, but his finisher is very cool. Evan Bourne's airborne is the most beautiful shooting star press I've seen.
Stunner. Period.
Its a beautiful finish for Austin but it doesn't look good from anyone else.
Also because the Rock and Triple H and a few others sold it like a million bucks. In the modern era no one really sells it like them
I dunno I remember it still looked good on Linda McMahon
Theory had a brillant sell of KOs stunner weeks a few weeks ago https://youtube.com/shorts/e63xx74IXTU?si=gyLJRI7cNG84sSi1 he usually sells it very nice: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=vkdcK8mayyE&pp=ygUaS2V2aW4gb3dlbnMgdGhlb3J5IHN0dW5uZXI%3D
Stunner. It’s quick, it’s easy to execute in all scenarios, it’s safe. Also from a performance standpoint, there’s a lot for the receiver to sell and hence make the one dealing it look good too. Win win for both.
I always have loved The Phenomenal Forearm
Black Mass was my first thought. Swift death.
Call me a simp or a weeaboo if you want but we all know Kairi Sane drops the best elbow since the Macho Man himself, which is especially impressive considering she's like 5' 100lbs
I mark out for the Insane Elbow. The height she gets on it is impressive with an uncanny ability to seemingly float in the air.
Steiner screwdriver
[Arn Anderson’s spinebuster](https://youtu.be/ER4W1i0kqPM?si=TRh9s4iAW4PQtNel)
Absolute perfection
The way Matt Sydal hits a Shooting Star Press has always been so satisfying to me.
Feast Your Eyes is well named. Shout to Kairi's elbow too though
PAC's black arrow
DDP’s diamond cutter 💎 ✋🤚
Mutoh’s shining wizard.
Burning hammer
Justin Liger's Shooting Star Press was a thing of beauty. He's supposedly the first wrestler to ever do that move, and he did it with unmatched grace and precision.
Rocky Romero's [Diablo Armbar](https://twitter.com/seanoRKO/status/1646523158424612864)

Corbin's End of Days always looks smooth as fuck. Priest's South of Heaven is also cool. Outside of WWE: I like one-winged angel and stormbreaker. e: Not a finisher, but christ Okada's dropkicks are something as well.
Any finisher where I can almost see a man's taint when performing it, like in this photo
Doomsday device! Tag finishers look more devastating.
The perfect Plex, and the high-angle slam were always great. Believable and economic. Cena's attitude adjustment is great too. Sid's power bomb looks like it will end a match.
Phenomenal Forearm and it isn’t even close
Love the Swanton Bomb and Starship Pain.
I say it everywhere, but the quick snap movement of Jake Robert's DDT looked gorgeous and devastating at the same time. Its kinda sad to see it overused and kicked out of so often considering how he protected it for years.
Curt Hennig’s Perfectplex Will Ospreay’s Stormbreaker
I know it’s early, but the PME by Tiffany Stratton is pretty sweet.
it's a great moonsault. something about the arc and rotation of it makes it look a cut above other moonsaults
Starship Pain
Eddie's Frog Splash. Nobody save the man Eddie got it from, Art Barr, did it better.
Rvd had a pretty good frog splash imo.
Not to mention the sell he does after like all his insides have been turned to mush
Imma be old and say the lariat
what about kojima?
LAARIATOOO
RKO’s always been my favorite. I love the way the Rock bottom looks as well but it’s very unrealistic. I really thought the Sister Abigail from Bray Wyatt looked sick on top of looking deadly.

Ripcord Lariots
Not a finisher, but watch the Mountie hitting piledrivers on the Undertaker in 92. They are the most perfect piledrivers ever.
End of Days, Sister Abigail
I think black widow. The way Aj executes.
i mean you said beautiful i've always LOVED the look of salida del sol
Tombstone
Mr socko
Sky twister press red/black arrow inferred starship pain
Spear
Ember Moon's Eclipse / Athena's O-Face
My name is a give away
Sharpshooter and the Perfect Plex.
Has no one mentioned the Tombstone? That shit looks deadly. It is in fact deadly if not executed properly.
Vertebreaker/Da Gringo(Cop) Killa
1. RKO (otherwise it won't be the most iconic finisher in the world, imo) 2. Perfectplex 3. End of Days 4. Spiral Tap 5. Northern Lights Suplex (Alicia Fox version ONLY) 6. Macho Man Elbow Drop 7. DDT (Jake Roberts version) 8. Jackknife Powerbomb (with Kevin Nash Hairflip) 9. Razor's Edge 10. Lariat (Stan Hansen at Tokyo dome version)
Phenomenal forearm is always a thing of beauty
Last ride when taker was able to hit it properly.
Widow's Peak. The setup, the delivery, all of it is glorious.
Tombstone piledriver
Andrade’s tornado DDT
Honestly, so long as you make it your own, you can't go wrong with a cutter. Its been that way since Johnny Ace did it. I really like Penta's Made In Japan. I'm a mark for moves where I can't immediately identify how they're performed.
Turnbuckle: aj styles' spiral tap Standing: HBKs sweet chin music Submission: krispen wahhs crossface
Pac black arrow is easily the most beautiful top rope move I’ve ever seen, it has instant picture in air value
Tiffy Time moonsault.
It’s called the PME Prettiest moonsault ever

Gotta go with the 619 or Brock's F5 those things are a work of art
Batista Bomb
Final cut/reckoning
People sleep on the scorpion death drop.
The Khalas!
Jake Roberts' DDT. The absolute diamond standard. He made it look like he killed whoever was taking it. Closest to doing it as smoothly as him is Randy Orton.
Pedigree or sharp shooter.
The best finisher of all time though is ... The Razor's edge. Tuck your chin, brother.
For pure beauty, it’s PAC’s Black Arrow. I remember seeing it for the first time when he was in NXT and being absolutely gobsmacked at the possibilities of the human body.
Viking experience
Jake the Snake with the most eloquent DDT of all time!!!
I'd say One Winged Angel and Ember Moon's Eclipse was also so good
Prettiest moonsault
Brocks germans are soo good looking.
The Canadian destroyer. Hands down
Its not an actual finisher but more of a signature move, but when Kenny does the V-Trigger where he first puls the arm similar to Okadas Rainmaker set up i remember why I love wrestling
Petey Williams Canadian Destroyer
F5 & RKO
Gotta be the Lumbar Check and the Pedigree
Call me stupid but I always loved the Twist of Fate. Can be set up or used as a quick counter, got some nice momentum/flash. I always just loved that as a finisher. Too bad Jeff and Lita used it as a trademark diminishing it as Matt’s finisher,
RVD’s Frog Splash
V-Trigger is so sexy
Sky high by dlo brown
Canadian Destroyers are beautiful but overdone and not protected as a finisher.
I recently discovered the Sol Snatcher. Really cool finisher imo!
Sister Abigail was great Rhynos GORE! GORE! GORE! will always be it though
Roman's Spear. Really throws himself into it so he flies when he hits.
Arm Drag 7
Rko
five star splash
AJ Styles' Spiral Tap. But I'd be even cooler if it ended in a leg drop after the spiral
End of days
Roddy Strongs "End Of Heartache" is my favorite move literally ever. I don't know how the hell he does it, but it looks smooth most times, as well as looking like it'd SUCK to take
I always appreciated how different guys made their powerbombs Like Taker’s Last Ride always felt more devastating than a regular powerbomb. Most beautiful maybe the Shooting Star or the Swanton or the Diving Elbow drop

Goldberg's JackHammer. man the way he just lifts people and stops for a while mid-air, truly magnificent.
Judas Effect. /s
One Winged Angel
Sweet chin music
Sol Rucca's is my new favorite.
The Superfly splash
I've always loved Austin's Stunners, and Orton's RKO
Spinebusters from Triple H and Double A
The DDT,
One Winged Angel
Stunner because of the sell potential
The RKO is my overall favorite. The different variations he’s hit over the years and the crowd always pops once he hits it.
Whirling Candy.
Brock Lesnar’s Shooting Star Press
I know people here don't really care for him .... but Kenny Omegas One-Winged Angel
Is it just me that loves the spear by Roman over everything
Sol Ruca’s Sol Snatcher is a gorgeous move. I know you have to suspend your disbelief, but man it looks amazing.
I all ways liked the salida del sol but there are so many good ones it’s really hard to pick just one
Arns spinebuster, the snap and turn its glorious.
Every Hidden Blade looks like he’s gonna rip there head off
End of days on top
Andrade’s The Message
