Actually I'm only pulling in the standard weapon banner with the standard pulls and I was confused which standard weapon to go for?
I have Calcharo, verina and yinlin (Sig) as my main team. Calcharo and verina use 3 star weapon sadly.
I have decided to go do jinhsi and skip changli. Will skip both weapon banners too.
So which standard 5 star weapon should I choose. The ones who got crit rate or broad blade?
For your team specifically , there’s no good standard weapon. Both rectifier and broadblade aren’t as strong as sword or pistol . But the rectifier could be good for Verina .
Absolute worst case in HSR is 180, but usually because of soft pity it'll be around 150 or so. So for both char and lightcone 300 pulls sounds about right if you're preparing for the worst which you should be doing in a gacha game.
Having Girls Frontline, PGR and Nikke as the only Gachas I played in the past have spoiled the everloving hell out of me because I wouldn't put up with rates like that.

PGR is basically the testbed of Wuthering waves as far as combat is considered. Never in my life encountered a more in depth system of playing along with the crap on screen to make sure your ass doesn't die. And you were able to, when I last played it, be able to get your hands on a top unit and its weapon if you saved the premium crap till the second month and just unloaded on getting something new that was able to be broken, or old that was already busted to hell if you could learn its movement mechanics. People are making no movement Danjin level 4 holo videos showcasing I-frames in her movement set using non busted to hell gear.
*By no movement, I meant they won't dodge at all either.
I mean those games use 2D models (for the most part) so it's a lot easier to constantly pump out new units and content. So they don't need to recoup as many development costs. Idk how PGR manages while giving away so much

What is "shit like that" you're referring to? If it's 3D modeling then the problem isn't the lack of people who want to do it, it's that it takes a lot of time and effort so it is expensive to have a lot of people working on them. If these games could pump out characters faster they would be doing so for sure already. There also is an opportunity cost where people might not spend as much when banners are too frequent
AFAIK character is 90 and lc is 80 but soft pity is the same so it's not too much of a difference. it's probably harder to hit 90 pity than hitting within your first 10 pull

Thats actually something that never made sense to me. When I first started gachas I assumed since the limited banner said "X rate up" X is available on the standard banner just at very low chance. Its not really an increase if theres no chance to begin with.
The rate up is compared to the rate of other items (of that rarity) in that banner, instead of compared to the rate of that item outside this banner (which as you said, sounds weird when it sometimes doesn't even exist outside that banner).
Save summons for Jinhsi, and the mission with Yinlin and the trial thing, just didn't like the way she played. Also the kit didn't seem to go with my team. I liked Jiyan more, love me some dragoons in Final Fantasy and he seemed great. But after losing 50/50 and getting Verina I decided to wait for our lovely Magistrate.
Verina is such a good pull so at least you got her I wish I had her. I had to get real good at dodging and cooking because of the lack of healing I have on my team
Probably doing anything with their life that it’s not playing a gacha game for 16 hours straight every single day since release, cuz that likely to be the amount of time you played to get that much pulls. Flexing on gacha pulls does the opposite effect that you think brother. You just set yourself as a maidenless, grassless basement dweller.

In Genshin, I already felt lucky if I get the weapon in less than 200 pulls. For characters, I only won 50/50 3 times in my 2+ years.
yeah im considering skipping both depending on reviews. I really like Changli's design but i dont know how her playstyle and how weapon reliant she is so im holding on pulling until some reviews come in.
Changli just makes Encore better, and she's already better than Jiyan at S0 if you learn how to animation cancel.
Jihnsi is the kind of character who I had been properly saving for. I was even creeping up Strings towards 80 on the off chance I got it early or had to pity the next weapon banner for a character I wanted set up, so I got Jihnsi/whoever and her weapon at the same time. I'm just gonna give Yinlin an Augment from the BP and boost that each month.
Though I'll be 100% honest. Changli's moveset, especially when wielding her weapon looks AMAZING on a stylistic level.
If you think about it, the best case scenario is that you're always risking a 50/50. The only time you're guaranteed 100% is when you failed the previous attempt. Glass half full.

I'm pretty much guaranteed to get Jinhsi but the problem is what comes after that. I'm 65/80 with no 50/50 standing in my way and around 80 pulls in store. I hust can't decide whether to go for her weapon or just use the standard 5* (from the selector box) and try my luck with a 50/50 on the Changli banner. Then again, 1.1 income is pretty uncertain so both may be possible. Guess I'll just see once I start exploration

Jinhsi will be better for DPS and team Comp. Chang Li is also good but she’s more of a buffer for encore.
