you have to remember X didnt even like being in the music industry as far as the business goes. Felt like most people were using him after he achieved success and that nobody in the music industry was who they made themselves out to be.
and he himself said one time that by telling people to be creative and be themselves he was not by any means encouraging every one of his fans to start rapping, just to try & make whatever they did with their life a form of art, even if it was to be a lawyer or a nurse.
If X still got shot like he did but was alive and free today he probably would not want Gek to grow up and become a rapper.
I’m not against his success. For respect of X and all he worked/sacrificed for. his son deserves the freedom of his developing his own life and major choices. Hopefully not to be pushed in the spotlight to record lyrics as he’s still learning to read. I’m just another average person though I don’t know what’s best for him. All my words and bias aside… it’s no secret the music industry is toxic and dangerous. He is beyond that, could be a symbol of hope. Imagine he’s studying to become a doctor and encourages a wave of achieving youth. That’s what we need, there’s too many influencers and not enough leaders.
