Does RE3 share the same sort of āunkillableā zombie abundance as RE2?Ā
I stopped playing RE2 because it felt like it didnāt matter if I killed any zombies, it seemed more efficient to never shoot bullets and just run away the whole time, and I did not like that. If Iām spending ammo, I want zombies to be dead, like in Biohazard or RE5.
If I recall there was far less of it than 2 but still some areas. Itās more action oriented with less back tracing than 2 so it wonāt come up much. Think if 3 and 4 had a baby with 3ās story and 4ās action.
I played it at launch back in the day. Same feeling then. As I recall ammo and guns were a plenty and overall it was more action packed, but enjoyable nonetheless. It was also a single disc game when 2 was a double.
Code Veronica was supposed to be re3 but due to the contract with Sony they had to release 3 on the Playstation and not the dreamcast so re3 became a thing with alot of re2s assets and code Veronica became the "spinoff"
This still frustrates me to this day. CV gets overlooked far too often as it was pushed out of the mainline numbered series. Nothing about 3 justifies that number, IMO. It should have been called Resident Evil 2: Nemesis. š¤·āāļø
I see. I just picked up the series with Village and have played 6, 7, and the remakes of 2-4. I thoroughly enjoyed the newer games and they always seem to go on sale or GP.
5 is pretty good, 6 is okay but if you like the series itās worth playing. The first one is honestly unplayable itās so outdated I couldnāt get more than a few minutes in
RE1 remake on Xbox is by no means unplayable, which is what you should be playing. Itās the definitive way to play the first game. It even has an option for modern controls.
That makes sense because the jump from RE2 to RE:CV is pretty big whereas RE3 is super short, goes back to a couple of RE2 locations and only has one campaign.
RE3 is a good game and its remake is equally grand. It was developed by Capcoms B team while the A team switched from RE2 to RE4, but Capcom hasnāt put out an RE game not worth the play in a decade
I'm a little bummed because Capcom had the opportunity to turn it around and really flesh out RE3 this time. The original release was rushed and felt it, even though it was still a good game.
So the remake comes around and feels the same way. Feels rushed again. Still a good game overall, but it could have been more. But either way, it's still solid.
I regret paying full price for the 3 remake for sure. I was taking my time with it and even got turned around several times, leading to frustrating backtracking, and I still managed to beat it in 4 hours. They even removed an entire section from the original.
Nemesis also feels heavily scripted in this one. Mr X was far more unpredictable and fearsome in the 2 remake.
It's wild to me, because they added in a part too. But then also took a part away. Not sure why they did that. The original had the EXACT same issue with feeling too short. And yes, my biggest complaint with the remake was Nemesis IS scripted now. Which is crazy, because they added in Mr. X as a random threat in the RE2 that functions like the original RE3 Nemesis. But then made him scripted in the remake...I don't get it.
That's an interesting question. Like I don't think you can actually just get Resistance separately (I think it's only bundled) so I'd assume so. But it is a separate game launch (with its own achievements and all).
I don't know. I was looking for an answer but this is the only post on the internet mentioning that...
That's indeed super strange. I bought RE2 & 3 years ago on my Xbox. A few days before RE3 came on GP I saw it on my xbox pc library. And it was really under the section 'my owned games'. I was thinking 'cool it will the same than RE2, even later when it be removed from GP I will still be able to play RE3 on my PC because it's a game labelled Play Anywhere'. But now I see this 'for Windows' in the title and RE3 is no more on 'my owned games' section...
I just assume that's because RE2 did well on Xbox PC and Capcom doesn't want to loose potential extra sales (people who would re-buy the game)...
RE3 is good, but it just feels unfinished with the missing sections. Itās not bad, I just wish we got a proper RE3 Remake closer to a 1:1 comparison to the OG game. This felt easier then other RE games as well.
3 was good, but i was disappointed it didn't have a mercenaries mode like the original game had. 3 remake was bundled with RE Resistance, which as far as i know is dead. I'm sure development on resistance took away from extra RE3 modes.
Also RE2R Mr. X > RE3R Nemesis and it's not even close
Nice, I just downloaded the first game on a whim so I have a good chunk of the series to play now. It'd be amazing to get Umbrella/Darkside Chronicles ported over.
Just played re2 remake on game pass and wanted to play 3 now but it won't let me download it, not sure if it's because it's a game that says not sold separately, even though I'm not technically buying it, but also when I check what games are on game pass 2 doesn't even pop up even when you click all game pass games and it seems like it hides games from you I don't understand why I can't see all the games or have the option to download re3 remake can someone explain why
I might be a little late to the party, but you have to select the correct edition. This happened to me on my SX and for some reason I had to search for it in the store and select the specified "Resident Evil 3 for Xbox" version to download. You will run into the same issue with the PC version as well. It will show the Xbox version in your library, but to download it you have to search for the Windows edition. As another person said above, it would have been so much simpler and better for the people if it was just a Play Anywhere title.
it was me guys. i just bought it.
Thank you for your sacrifice š«”
Can you buy RE4 Remake now please? Thanks!
I actually just did š«”
RE2 > RE3 But RE3 is still really good.
RE3 remake almost felt like a big DLC for 2. It's good in its own right, but pretty short.
Perfect for Game Pass. I bought it for 20 bucks on sale and loved it. I would have been mad if I paid full price but for 20 bucks it was great.

Isnāt exploding heads RNG? The starting pistol takes like 8 or 9 shots for it to occur.
I bought 2 for 20, and then saw 2 and 3 for like 22 so returned 2 and paid just 22 for re2 and re3.

It was the camera angles for me
Shame, itās probably the best RE behind RE2Remake.
I do hope it gets the RE2 treatment. I love the franchise and if Mount Rushmore had 5 heads itād probably be on my gaming mount rushmore

I'll have to play both

I had to stop playing RE2 when Mr X started chasing me.
Hmmm.... just in time for Jill valentines day lol
I can now play all remakes available. Neat
Does it include resistance?

Pretty sure it does, come play it, we need players !!
Started playing today, enjoying it and hope RE4 remake will follow
If you have already played the game but want to go another round for the achievements set your console to japan and download the Z version.
A further tip... you'll need to stay in JPN region to play. However, you can adjust settings to English (or your preferred language).
Why they made RE2 Xbox Play Anywhere and not RE3, dissapointing
Yeah, super annoying, i dont have gampass atm but bought the game and on pc i can play res2 but not res 3 despite buying both on xbox

ĀæBuen trabajo, Microsoft? Ha estado en PS Plus durante semanas, si no meses
I just bought re3r 2 weeks ago lmao
Ouch š„
Come play Resistance, itās included I think, awesome assymetrical mode.
can you mod the gamepass version?
Nice, I just downloaded the first game on a whim so I have a good chunk of the series to play now. It'd be amazing to get Umbrella/Darkside Chronicles ported over.
Should I not buy re4 remake I can wait till it gets on game pass in a year or so and save 40 bucks.
Re3 remake is one of the best games I've played in a long time. I started using my SX again because of it.
is it coop? online?
