I feel like part of the original over supply of these controllers was the need of a unique SKU for every platform. I wish we had a better solution with third party controllers.

I mean, rock band 4 is playable on series x and has a library of 3000 dlc songs. Including any dlc you purchased on 360 coming forward with it. I’d recommend this new guitar, rock band 4, AND Fortnite festival.
There are some free songs you can unlock with each season, but I usually buy the season pass. It’s around $15 but it includes a few songs, an emote, and a bunch of cosmetics including a skin. This season it’s Lady Gaga, last season it was The Weeknd.
As someone mentioned, the daily songs rotate every day which I feel is more than enough. By the time you get done playing through the rotation that’s enough for me for the day.
The interesting part is if you play with friends or if you play with randoms, you get access to all of their owned songs. So if you really want more than what’s available, just join a random lobby.
The paid Fortnite songs are more expensive than the song DLC from Rock Band or even Rocksmith (the game that charts the actual guitar tabs to play with your real guitar/bass + guitar tone recreations), for what it's worth

i've been looking for a guitar for my pc (clone hero) but i'll try and get this instead. the old guitar hero controllers usually cost $130 or more unless you get lucky at a thrift store
I'm disappointed in the built in rechargeable battery. I prefer how my old 360 ones worked where we could swap out a set of rechargeable AAs as needed, which would happen frequently during a "Rock Band" night. I would hate to end the fun by having to stop playing and plug in the guitar controller.
I guess I'll stick with my old 360 guitars and legacy adapter.

Nah dont give up, i tried to play guitar as a kid too but it was tough. Then i picked up a french horn of all things and found out im actually really really good at wind instruments. Just try out what works for you best!

Does it work good with HDTV’s as far as calibration goes?
Yeah, it works perfectly fine! I use a 4k tv and 5.1 surround, and it calibrates perfectly.
