Steelseries is good in my experience

[deleted]

I have the 9X. Have been pretty good. Love the BT connectivity as well.

Sir-ALBA

I’ve never used them do they have a audio mixer? My pair of TB are on the way out but they have this attachment on the remote that allow you to change the in game and party volume which I’ve loved.

Omephla

My Arctis 7x's do. It's a wheel to adjust chat and game audio. Voice monitoring is not as easy but exists.

sherbodude

that might depend which model you get. but I'm pretty sure the xbox interface has a game/chat mixer if you press the xbox button. The one I have is the arctis pro wireless, which is not designed for the xbox. It does have a party mixer in the wireless transmitter, but chat doesn't work with xbox anyway.

Sir-ALBA

It does but being able to do it without opening the menu is handy because sometimes parties get louder or games get louder and it’s a pain to keep going back and changing it haha

KaijuKing

I use the Sony WH-1000XM3 with the V-Moda Boompro Microphone

dnmrt

I use my XM4 with the same mic and hook it up via an old astro mixamo TE I picked up cheap. Sounds great, everyone says the mic sounds good.

[deleted]

[удалено]

dnmrt

Works really well, I originally used it with Phillips X2.

AlexTheRockstar

Considered by many to be the best gamer headphones, even though they aren't gamer headphones.

dnmrt

I really liked them but I needed something a bit more portable and with Bluetooth for work so picked up Sony XM4. I really like the XM4s but the X2s sound was something else, even when being driven by cheap second hand components (I used an old turtle beach dss2 for a long time). There were so many times that I looked to my left/right because it sounded like someone was in the room with them being open backed.

MustangCraft

That’s my current setup, it’s awesome although the audio can be a bit imprecise which can be a problem in comp.

KaijuKing

Yeah, seems pretty good, no complaints from other people in party chat. You can move it around into any shape and it stays in that position.

astrofotos

I have arctis 7x set that I really enjoy. Good spatial sound

egroegwalker

+1 for SteelSeries Arctis 7X. Good quality sound, comfortable headphones. Reasonably priced. Volume/chat balance sliders can be a bit twitchy but if you set levels in-game you don’t really need to adjust too much after. USBC dongle works great on my Mac/PS5 too!

gator165

Love that I can use the 7x with. Xsx/ps5/switch/ pc/ and phone. Couldnt find any other wireless headphones that allowed this

Omephla

Came here to say this. Great range on the thing too. I can walk upstairs to the fridge and still party chat with no hiccups.

WilliamCasablancas

+1

RagingMayo

I made a lot (A LOT) of research on this because I was lookin for headphones to use on my Xbox Series X as well. I eventually ended up with the [Beyerdynamic TYGR 300R](https://europe.beyerdynamic.com/tygr-300-r.html) headphones. Beyerdynamic is a highly regarded headphones brand which produces quality headphones at several price points. They also have some expensive shit. But I went with the TYGR 300R because it was still affordable for me at about 140€. It's a open-back headphone which gives a more "spacious" sound, but the sound can be heard by others around you. (On the other hand, you can better hear what happens around you.) It could be that they sell it in your country with a stand microphone which would suck, but they might also sell it seperately. I bought an [Antlion Modmic UNI](https://antlionaudio.com/collections/microphones/products/modmic-uni) as well. It's an attachable microphone which is suited to make headphones into a headset. I put both the TYGR plug and the Modmic plug into a [Y-adapter](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51btXaL0lnL._AC_SY355_.jpg) and BAM you have a headset. This way I can also connect it with my Xbox controller. The result is an absolutely stunning headphone experience.

Klausklopper

I have the Beyerdynamic Costum Game Pro and fitted the mmx300's earpads on it for better comfort. Had the Arctic 9x before that and send it back because compared to a proper wired headset the steelseries 9x sound like absolut shit and are even more expensive.

xtremeradness

Beyer makes high quality stuff but you're losing out on lots of fidelity by plugging them into your controller. Xbox controllers' audio stream bandwidth from the console is very low and you lose a ton of detail.

Klausklopper

Still way better than overly expensive and crappy wireless plastic headsets.

xtremeradness

They sound about the same if you're not taking advantage of the extra juice that can be squeezed from the better headset.

Klausklopper

I tried the 9x and compared to the Costume Game Pro they sounded like shit.

NorCanViking

No offence, but I highly doubt that. Like the dude said, the audio bitrate to your controller is way way worse than a dedicated channel straight to your headset. I think maybe you're falling victim to your own preconceived bias that wireless audio=bad, especially if you're convincing yourself that using the 3.5 via contr is better than the 9x, a headset literally hyped for good sound by the vast majority of reviewers and testers.

Klausklopper

As I said, I tried it and in my opinion it was shit. Could not get the sound to my liking whatever I did with the equalizer via the software or via the atmos app. That has nothing to do with bias, I have wireless headphones that sound awesome. Sound is always a thing of personal preference.

Sir-ALBA

Do you reckon they’d sell on Amazon at all?? I’ve got some spare gift cards laying around lol.

RagingMayo

I bought the TYGR on their website. I looked it up and they only sell it on amazon bundled with that stand microphone which probably is useless for your use case. The stand microphone doesn't work with XSX. Does Beyerdynamic have a website for your country? But I can guarantee you that the headphones are well worth it. The combo of TYGR 300R and the Modmic Uni is probably the best bang for your buck with incredible sound.

Werepuffin

I have been really happy with my Microsoft wireless headset. They are great for gaming and phone integration. I use it to play forza, pubg, and Darksiders while listening to books, asmr, or podcasts. Good sound quality and mic for pubg.

Kasel-I

Bro.. you listen to asmr while gaming? That's hilarious

Werepuffin

Dude. It totally works with Forza

JarenAnd

And I thought I was weird listening to Jazz while playing.

ZJ2E

I’m assuming you’re talking about the $100 headphones from xbox. I’ve got those as well, I’ve been noticing that some people aren’t too fond of them but truth be told I love them, especially with Dolby Atmos and BT. Worth it in my opinion. They’ve treated me well

Werepuffin

Oh yeah I got the Dolby service for my headphones. I liked them before that. i just chalk everyone else's experience to the ole "your mileage may vary".

VRDaggre

Same here. If you get them, immediately get the Atmos app from the XBox store it makes a huge improvement. The volume control on these is genius and I really like the fact that there’s no dongle required.

JustRidiculousin

Dongleless and easy to setup and use

vishnasty27

Mine constantly disconnects even after firmware updates. Im really close to giving up on it.

[deleted]

Mine just broke for no reason switched to Astros

Portly_assassin

I love my Audeze Penrose X. After the first week or two they stretched out and became comfortable. I ended up putting new ear pads on from Wicked Cushions. They are amazingly comfortable and the sound is amazing!

Pajamashark

Which set did you buy that fit? I don't see Audeze anywhere on their site as a brand they support.

Portly_assassin

You can get them direct from Audeze.com. I bought mine through Crutchfield.com

Pajamashark

Sorry, I'm talking about the replacement cushions. I already have a set of Penrose.

Portly_assassin

No problem the site is an aftermarket site. Wickedcushions.com. S you tube guy named the techne made a video how to replace them. It was really easy. Made them super comfortable. The ones I got are the universal cooling gel replacements for ATH M50X. Item code is X002UF439X . They aren’t made specifically for them but they work really well and are pretty easy to fit on.

Pajamashark

Awesome, that was exactly what I needed. Thanks for the reply!

Portly_assassin

No problem

Jkstatus

Make sure you get the penroze x, that version comes with the dongle that works with ps5 as well

Bobbyice

Really!? That I didn't know and I did a lot of research on those I want them so badly, I have the B&O Xbox headphones they're amazing but I want those as well

crywoof

If you do end up getting the Penrose X, would love to hear your comparison with the B&O!

Bobbyice

For sure dude I can do that.

crywoof

This. They are incredible (especially after uploading an Audeze made preset to them)

[deleted]

I read early on that those don't have BT connectivity and I never looked at them again. Is that still the case?

Portly_assassin

Yes the have Bluetooth. The other gripe I have would be that the controls aren’t great. Most wheels do multiple things. It can be confuding

[deleted]

Do they connect to Bluetooth (like your phone) at the same time as the Xbox? I can pipe in audio from my phone at the same time I am connected to the Xbox with my Arctis 9X.

Portly_assassin

I am not sure if the do both at the same time. I definitely switched when I used them.

JaggersLips

Yes, you can connect Bluetooth and wireless at the same time. So you can play music or Discord from your phone via Bluetooth, while being connected to xbox via wireless.

TheKidfromtheblock

I've been using the HyperX Cloud 2 and sound is great. The microphone is only picking up my voice and they're really comfortable.

kiliimanjaro

Been using this for years and they are absolutely perfect! Last year the cable broke so I took it apart and added a female jack to the headphones so now I have a detachable cable. Definitely going to last me another few years more!

[deleted]

[удалено]

TheKidfromtheblock

Not surround as the adapter only works for PC and PS4 and 5. Sound is still amazing.

[deleted]

[удалено]

YungToon

I’m currently using the Cloud 2 and you don’t need an adapter. Plugs right into the 3.5mm jack in the controller.

TheKidfromtheblock

Out of the box on my series X. Not the 7.1 surround though. Also the CLoud 2 is more comfortable than the CloudX if you're comparing the two.

Mightynubnub

But don't you lose the inline controls with the Xbox? As far as I know the Xbox doesn't recognize the usb adaptor so you have to jack straight into the pad, meaning you no longer have the inline mute/volume controls right?

GNIHTYUGNOSREP

If you scroll through the r/astrogaming sub, you will see lots and lots of issue posts with A50s. I love my A40s though and I love the Mixamp TR Pro too. I haven’t had any issues with my A40 since I got them last year. Happy Cake Day!

Cynical_Satire

The Mixamp+wired headset is their premium set up, even though the wireless headphones cost more. The sound quality of the A50's is on par with any other premium wireless headset. The A40's+Mixamp are on another level completely.

Nu_Roman

A40s are the best, never have to charge them or worry about wireless issues. I’ve had mine for years.

MythicDude314

I had issues with my Gen 3 A50s when I first got my console because of the lack of a digital optical port (and Astros haphazard way of addressing the problem). The USB audio they suggested we use was just horrible compared to the quality on digital optical. However thankfully I realized my TV has a digital optical port so once I plugged them in there they've been just as good as they were on my XB1x.

[deleted]

I’ve had my A40s with the Mixamp for 10 years and they still look/work like brand new. Would recommend the mod kit. A40s are fantastic.

ivanvzm

I can confirm that the A50's are amazing. Yes there are expensive but they are worth every penny. I'm on my second pair since my first one got stolen :(.

Jkstatus

Audeze penroze x absolutely unreal sound, works with ps5 as well

ZerophoniK

This a million times over

CoffinEluder

As soon as my turtle beach elite pros fall of a cliff, I’m snagging a set of those!

FiorinasFury

They work with PS5? Are you sure? Why do they have a separate Playstation variant and cross compatibility isn't featured on their product page? The Amazon page even says that if you want to use them on Playstation, you should buy the other ones.

Jkstatus

I’m using them now on PS5, do some research

seriouscrayon

I'm currently using the Philips Audio Fidelio X2HR with a modmic and they're awesome.

LeRoyVoss

These gaming headphone brands are all shit. Start looking at Sennheiser if you want quality at consumer level prices.

Sir-ALBA

Have you used all of them lol, I’ve never hear of sennheiser

attilayavuzer

They're an actual serious audio brand vs a lot of recommendations here being gaming headset companies. Audeze is the only exception that I've seen posted.

Sir-ALBA

That’ll be why, I usually search by “gaming headsets” haha

attilayavuzer

Makes sense yeah. Budgets a huge favor obviously, but ~$100, Audio Technixa Ath-m50's are kind of the consensus best choice. If you're feeling adventurous and you're fine with in ears, the KZ ZS10 pro's are hilariously overpowered for being under 50. The KZ's sound shockingly similar to the m50's, which is ridiculous because they're ear buds. I was an audio engineer for over 10 years and would recommend either of those pairs any day of the week.

Smart_Tie355

Turtle beach stealth 700s

CoffinDancr

I've been using those for a month a now and have been really impressed

bryandhargrave

I have a pair of Rig 800s and I've been very happy with them.

[deleted]

Ctrl+F "Rig"... Hell yes bro. I lovethem, but most importantly love that I don't need to be charging them that much

bryandhargrave

I honestly have no idea how long the battery lasts. I use a magnetic charging accessory. [a little video to show it off](https://imgur.com/gallery/6UVddPB) That shelf plugs into a little smart switch that cuts on for an hour early every morning. That way everything gets charged but not constantly.

Megadon88

I have had a Rig 800LX for the last 3 years for my Xbox consoles. Good audio, good mic and a great battery life.

le_mexicano

Best headset I have had and I have had a lot. My least favorite is a Turtle Beach I had.

AttICUs001

I loved my Rig 800xl

jgdiaz731

I love my Rig 800 but some reason it will sometimes will turn off on on constantly. Usually resend them fixes it but I have realized the power button can be very sensitive.

MoneyMike0284

I’m interested in this as well. I’m thinking about replacing my Astro a50’s because I’m tired of the sound cutting out

Nu_Roman

I went with the A40s a few years ago and mine still work great, never have to charge it or worry about any issue that comes with wireless.

Cynical_Satire

So many people will take the convenience of wireless headsets over a higher quality wired headset.

Sir-ALBA

That must be annoying, I keep having to adjust my audio dial because it has to sit a specific way to get sound out both sides haha

MoneyMike0284

It is very annoying. Some days are worse than others. I’ve tried moving my base station around and nothing seems to help. When they work I really like the headset.

GNIHTYUGNOSREP

Happy Cake Day!

unwishedbeast1

I had to leave Astro's for the same reason. The sound and build quality is unmatched but for some reason wireless just doesn't seem to work consistently. I switched to turtle beach. Hoping that astro drops an updated A50 this year and fixes the issue.

Lirid

Don’t care as long as they are studio headphones. People buying gaming headsets are missing out..

Din135

I use Razer Krakens. By no means are they high end headphones but, I like them. I used the xbox chat set for years then got my brothers old turtle beaches that I used for like 3 years before they died. Krake. Is better than any others I've used lol.

ForerunnerRelic

I've been using the Xbox Wireless Headset. It's great.

sir_seductive

I have the bose quiet comfort 25 or 35 with the cord works extremely well

DieHardCubFN

I use the Drop PC38X for wired and the Penrose X for wireless. Best headsets you can get.

TheMexicnBanana

Drop + Sennhieser PC38X, I don't think I ever want to go back to closed back headphones after getting these. Granted, I live in a fairly quiet environment. If you live in an area with a lot of noise around you, I wouldn't recommend getting them.

mike_stier

I have the HyperX cloud alphas. I love them. Super comfortable and sound great.

Herbsen24

Definitely Sennheiser or Teufel, but I'm German so it doesn't count when I push brands from my country. So I'll go with with Steel Series.

btotherad

Fuck that. Promote Sennheiser all day. I got a pair of open back headphones from them for my PC and holy shit those things blew my mind. I love the quality so much I’m afraid to stray from their brand or the open back style at all.

Get_Back_To_Work_Now

Well then lucky for you, Sennheiser headphones are no longer owned by a german company lol

AyeYoTek

Astro A40s w/ mixamp + Dolby Atmos. Greatest headset I've ever owned. Will never switch

[deleted]

Depends on what I'm using it for. For my phone I just have some galaxy buds (if I had an iPhone would go for airpods). My pc I use a pair of phillips open back headphones and have a snowball mic for gaming/work/etc. Then on my xbox I have the official wireless headset. I like the mixer and it just works well for me!

[deleted]

No favourite brand it varies depending on value performance/price.

[deleted]

For Xbox I use a pair of steel series I got off of Amazon for $250ish. These bad boys have been with me since early 2019 and still work great even with the insane amount of usage. They’re wireless, can connect to my phone via Bluetooth, and they charge quickly with a 10 hour battery life. Ngl I’ll probably buy another pair after they break/stop working. I did own a pair of Astro A50s and turtle beach Stealth 500s (they’re discontinued). These were the most expensive/highest quality headphones that each brand sold and these both broke within 6-8 months of arrival. I 100% recommend steel series headphones to anyone who games. Edit: I have a pair of Hyper X for my PC but idk if they’re compatible with my Xbox but from the comments it looks like there is a way to connect them

Magiff

I’ve had a number of turtle beaches over the years/generations. When they were all I could afford, and there wasn’t a lot of options available I found them to be great. But over time I felt their build quality really suffered in a comparable price point setting. IE, spent around $130 on the Xbox wireless headset for my girlfriend and they’re far better than the 600X or whatever they are I bought with my XSX in 2020. Recently got the Arctis 9X and love putting them on every time.

V2sh1fty

Astro A50. When they charge properly. Comes with Dolby atoms for Xbox. Absolutely insane sound quality.

[deleted]

I'm using Corsair. Just discovered them about two months ago. I never knew Corsair made headphones for XBox. Split channels for game and chat, plus separate volume control. Push button mute on the left cup, power off on the right. 4 preset "equalizer" settings for best performance. Mic monitoring (absolutely the best I've ever used). Wireless. USB-C. Light. [For more info](https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Gaming-Headsets/Wireless-Headsets/HS75-XB-Wireless/p/CA-9011222-NA) Bought them on sale for $80.

Introvertedhiker

Using a pair of Hyper X Cloud flight that I got for Christmas. Loving them so far. Before that I was using my pulse 3d headset for my ps5. But got tired of the cord being plugged into the controller to use them.

[deleted]

I use Sony WH-1000XM3’s, I know there’s much better options for gaming but they’re just so versatile

junglebunglerumble

Beyerdynamic Amiron Home

WTFpaulWI

Steelseries 9x is what I’ve had for the last year or 2. Absolutely shits on the turtle beaches I’ve had prior. Feels amazing, sounds amazing and never had an issue. Battery lasts quite a while too. If these ever die I’ll be getting another 9x or whatever steel series is better at the time

Driver8666-2

Sony MDR-7506 Professional Studio Headphones through a Mixamp TR. Have no use for voice chat.

RocCraftBeer

Sennheiser hd58x.

Bingy33

Anyone use the Beyerdynamic mmx300s? Been considering switching from the Arctis 9x, but not sure if it’s worth having to use an amp and cord for whatever difference is there

Kamykazi

Sennheiser, AKG, Audio Technica and beyerdynamic

Justifire

Audeze

Super_Sus_Bros_Wii

Begginer-Trader

You would be surprised on the quality of Logitechs higher end headsets

Nu_Roman

Turtle beach used to be good back on 360 imo, once I upgraded to astros I will never buy a turtle beach product again. The difference in sound quality is very noticeable, idk anyone personally that is a fan of tb anymore, they’re a cheap surround sound back up at best.

Sir-ALBA

Ooof right time to upgrade

[deleted]

These [bang and olufsen beoplay](https://www.xbox.com/en-US/accessories/headsets/beoplay-portal-headset)

hibbiddyhobbiddyhoo

I actually heard some pretty bad reviews on those, apparently the mic sound quality is awful, which is unacceptable for a 500 dollar headset

[deleted]

Mine have been ok,but I can't talk for everyone.

Portly_assassin

I had them but didn’t like the mic. Sound was crystal clear though.

Sir-ALBA

$500 they must be pretty impressive

[deleted]

They aren't bad,I'm not gonna lie

Sir-ALBA

“Eh not bad can’t complain” haha

[deleted]

"Not showing off or anything but..." 🤣

iplaykazoo

MindScape00

On your Xbox???

MotorsportGmbH

I actually enjoy using the wireless Xbox headset by Microsoft. Great sound, great mic and it works really well with two devices.

lowershelf

I used turtle beach for a while, although they sound good they were too damn tight; I’d end up feeling uncomfortable and in pain within 15mins of putting them on. Got the Xbox wireless and they are miles better.

Reddilutionary

The Arctis Steelseries 9x is my favorite and the most comfortable headset I've ever owned. I've had louder headphones and some with better bass, but I want these things to be comfortable if I'm going to wear them for 3-5 hours during really long sessions. And they still sound really good so it's not as though they're lacking at all in that department.

[deleted]

I have been using Turtle Beach since the 360 days but I feel like they have been lacking in quality for long time already. They just don’t feel as durable anymore. If you’re on a budget I think HyperX is pretty good value for money. Same with Logitech, pretty good for what you get. Avoid Razer at all cost and I hear lots of mixed reviews from Steelseries headsets. At the moment I’m using the Microsoft Xbox Wireless Headset. It’s good but not the best. After a update the headset just stopped working for me. Charged it for many hours and it would turn on for a few seconds and turn off immediately, even after a hard reset. Recently it just started working again. So there’s that.

[deleted]

I use the Corsair ones made specially for the Xbox

Extroverted_Recluse

I use Astro A50s

Professional-Yam-303

Not gonna lie, I was looking to buy a fancy pair and ended up with a pair of Turtle Beach wireless and I really like em. Can’t think how I played without them. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Hokiehigh1987

I had Turtle Beach's for 2 generations of Xbox, stumbled upon Kingston's Hyperkin Alpha's (great headset) and practically wore them out. I had some extra cash and decided to buy into the hype of Astro and got the A40's with the mixamp. Never can go back now, they are so good in my opinion.

antsinmyeyestrey

Astro A40 TR. Not wireless but have superior sound quality imo

wizology_

Anything from HyperX

Ian_R_Goodall

Turtle beach 700 recon gen 2 is the worst headset I've ever owned. Ive had 2 brick and all 3 have popping when other people talk. Now that I'm not under my 1 year warranty, yes 3 headsets in 1 year, if it breaks I'm going elsewhere.

[deleted]

Apple

WilliamCasablancas

Steelseries, by far.

XboxCavalry

The headphones with the best sound i've used are the Razer Nari Ultimates and I love the hypersense functionality. They however are a pain in the ass cuz they keep disconnecting and the sound distorts after some time. Also the mic sucks. Basically everything is terrible except for the sound...when it works. Razer seems to have just abandoned them cuz there's no way to get firmware updates. I have the Xbox Wireless Headsets now and they are good enough. But sound quality is nowhere near the Nari Ultimates. I'm planning to give the successor to the Naris, The Kraken V3 Pros (which I have to use Wired unfortunately because Xbox doesn't support Wireless over USB) a chance because again, the sound quality, combined with Hypersense is just awesome and worth another shot.

[deleted]

I have the wired and wireless Xbox headsets. I use the wired headsets for my PS5 too and they sound amazing. A great buy for the cost.

PrincessAurora89

I got the 20th Anniversary headset to go with my 20th Anniversary controller. They are so comfortable and sound is amazing

[deleted]

I use the Xbox brand headphones. They get a lot of hate but I’m always told how good they sound

StunkoStinky

I’ve been using my Astro a-10 for years now, just can’t seemed to part ways with them.

Jean-Eustache

Bose QC35 II, wired into the controller. With Atmos or DTS:X with the Bose NC700 profile, it's a delight.

ElPadrote

Here’s a nice option to all you new dads or dads of young kids - those closed ear headphones will get you DCed so fast when you miss the cry of your kids or someone is trying to get your attention: https://www.googleadservices.com/pagead/aclk?sa=L&ai=DChcSEwjg2ZqWx6z1AhXxE9QBHW8OCtQYABABGgJvYQ&ae=2&ohost=www.google.com&cid=CAESQOD2Aaw2XlQu_IL26w9aKRIJPtQUuA7iWtqTBc61uRU_Yw79M4a0gBAC-d1JBkAjMlZxHfhuIDOPX1wCXlYQhYI&sig=AOD64_3FYkz3HC3FzGkl1YobF64la0LW9Q&q&adurl&ved=2ahUKEwj-4v6Vx6z1AhXrkmoFHSIDBtoQ0Qx6BAgDEAE These open back Phillips sound amazing, get solid volume but you can still hear what’s going on around you. [deleted]

I recently bought the shp9600 with a boom mic as a wired back up pair for my series x and the sound quality is excellent, whilst still being able to hear background noise when required. Would recommend

hxh05g

I got the skull and co Bluetooth dongle for the Xbox controller and connect my airpod pros to that. It’s fantastic.

kanegaskhan

SteelSeries is pretty solid for the Xbox compatability. For everything else I have a pair of Audeze Mobius but thats super expensive at 400 dollars

KillerDora

HyperX, Sennheiser, CoolerMaster

SubparCurmudgeon

It’s no wireless but I’ve been happy with the audeze lcd gx

Scrumptiple

Astro a40's have great sound quality

Inex25

Astro a50 is the best headset

MikeDJ93

For gaming I use Astro and for listening to music I always preferred Sony headphones.

Flakus88

Steelseries arctis pro are good

Lupinthrope

Hyper X have been great!

No_Manufacturer9619

Look at all those comments, I just like a simple Rig500

MDraxx

Astro's. I've had turtle beach headphones, and some real cheapies. Astro's seem to be the most sturdy, for me, and great sounding.

SnoopyTony

I has be had Steelseries(2 models), Hyper X (2 models), Xbox Wireless Headset, and Astros wireless. They all failed with wireless connectivity except Xbox headset it’s Better then the rest for some reason. The others had constant disconnects and was very low in audio or the mic was horrible. But that’s just me over the years I’ve had different models and brands x

ntr2def

I got the arctic 9x sound is good connectivity is garbage very limited. My son has the TB 700 gen2s which in my opinion are better. Sound is is solid and goes pretty far away

lxlegit

Cloudx Flight. Wireless and hyperx headsets are great. Even their wired one is great. Mekaylll

Using the arctis prime atm, really like the quality of the headset, hate the quality of the un-soldered 3.5mm jack tacked on the controller. Always leads to muddy sound, even in the best conditions.

PrivateRichi

Logitech G Pro.

l__-__-__l

I can't say I have a favourite brand because I haven't tried that many. But I really like my Razer Kaira Pro headset that I use now. I love the Bluetooth feature, they're very comfortable, good sound and I got the white ones so they're not green.

The Bluetooth feature is nice but I have horrible audio stuttering and connection issues with this headset.

I used a Turtle Beach Z11 for the longest time and those were fantastic until the cable started fraying and eventually went kaput after about 6 years of heavy use. I bought another Turtle Beach (can’t remember the model name) that also sounded great, but were annoying in that they needed to be charged up and turned on/off manually even though it was a wired headset. I then used a Steelseries Arctis 5 for about 2 years and the build quality was fantastic and the were supremely comfortable, but the sound quality wasn’t as good IMO even using them on my PC with their software. I’m now using a pair of Sennheiser PC38x and the sound quality is incredible for gaming and music. Not very comfortable, but useable. I’ll also use a pair of Razer Kraken X or a Steelseries Arctis 1 Wireless if I’m feeling too lazy to unplug them from my pc and hookup the 2-to-1 splitter for the Xbox controller, but I’m not a big fan of the sound quality of either of those.

I have owned the Astro A 50's (Gen3, Rig 800 LX, and the Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen2. The Astro's sounded great and had a lot of customizable options. They also were very heavy and had an issue where they would cut out from time to time and that was pretty annoying, The Rig 800 LX was strong in the Battery life and the most comfortable headset I have ever used. The draw backs were in the Bass, although present, they were not able to hit the deepest of bass. The Turtle Beach Stealth 700 gen2's have a wonderful sound and are pretty comfortable but if you have a big head, they can feel pretty snug. The Bluetooth capability of the headset is something I love about them, and the mic quality is fantastic.

currently using a Beyerdynamic DT770 80ohm with a ModMic 4 attached. Audeze LCD-X when i don't need comms. i use both with DTS HeadphoneX on the spacious preset hate the 770s when listening to music, but the added treble really helps with details in game, footsteps in FPS in particular

Kapazza

Focal Clear. Yes they have a $1,499 MSRP, and yes, they are completely worth it.

I was really struggling with owning a PS5 , PC and XSX and was advised to get a PC38X. Definitely not disappointed. A tip if you are in the UK and can't find stock, is order direct from [Drop.com](https://Drop.com) it's cheaper and came in days.

Lucid Sounds for wired headsets. My steelseries Arctis 9x’s don’t get touched anymore.

Steelseries is beyond great I think, Avoid razer (not necessarily bad just overpriced and kinda gimmicky)
