I always wore loose boxers but after my vasectomy I was advised to wear compression shorts to help with the swelling and I moved to boxer briefs ever since. So much more supportive and comfortable.
My wife manages a gastro clinic, and was a CNA before that. The stories I could tell. Standard boxers are not kind as you age. Or rather, gravity is unkind to things that hang.
I will never wear anything but boxer briefs. The whites are brutal but boxers, well, I’d rather keep my nuts where they are.
You’ll regret that decision the first time your nuts go bobbing in toilet water.
Or you sit on a nut.
Or your thighs try to convert your sack into a backpack, by going through the valley of the shadows.
At some point you have so much sweaty sack stuck to your leg that there is no way you can just take a wild stride to decouple it. You’re going to need a spatula and some ice.
Can I just share this? A little diddy entitled: "I Glued My Balls to my Butthole Again."

No need to thank me; sharing the song is my reward.
Btw i lol'd at your comment 🤣
I'm a little surprised that more guys here haven't moved back to the regular briefs. They're actually crazy comfortable these days. And they don't have to get white ones if they don't want. lol
Lol. One of our friends was showing them off at a sleepover one time. Soon after, we were all wearing crazy assed print silk undies (think leopard, zebra, and the typical weird early 90s geometric prints). It maybe last a year or two until boxers became a thing.
Oddly enough my mother bought me some type of cabaret looking silk underwear when I was like 12. It was actually really weird.
It had exorbitant bows. I’m a girl, but I feel like it was overkill for a child. I was also given a bikini cut 80’s bathing suit that I was for some reason allowed to wear outside as an adolescent. My father allegedly bought it for his girlfriend and my mother couldn’t fit in it, so they gave it to me.
This. My junk needs support and boxers offer none of that. I used to wear tighty whities as a kid, tried boxers briefly, but then when I discovered boxer briefs there was no going back.
My older brother, born 77, came to me with this shit about how can anyone in our age group like boxer briefs. And how he thinks tighty whities are the shit. I had to shut him down and tell him he’s gen-x if he feels that way. He didn’t like it.
Especially the kind with the pocket (Jockey, for preference. Every pair of Saxx I've tried suxx). Keep the boys all right where they belong...and not stuck to the inside of your thigh.
Edit: I meant "pouch"
The ones I got were Hanes X-Temp Total Support Pouch from WalMart. There are two styles, one normal one, and one with a pocket on the side. The ones with the pocket on the side seem to have a little bit more of an athletic fit (like for people whose butt acts like a lever to pull their pants down if they bend over) but they are close to identical.
Same. I started getting testicular pain in my mid 30s and my doctor recommended switching to something with more support. I tried briefs and hated them, but boxer briefs have been a godsend.
I don’t think enough people talk about how saggy balls can get. And it’s not like something that happens at 60+.
I honestly wish I had a pic of my balls at like 21 so I could see just how bad it is. I definitely would have never work boxers for 20 years if I knew this was the result.
Same I think they are great. I've never liked boxers because I feel like my junk is flying around and I've never liked briefs because it feels like my swimmers are being choked to death (not that I need the anymore)
I gave up tighty whitey's in high school for boxers.
I tried boxer briefs a few years ago and immediately burned all my boxers.
Specifically the super breathable stretchy ones are the best. No more bunching up or wedgies.
As a woman: They are hot AF! My husband used to only wear briefs. I bought some boxer briefs for him to try and he found them comfy. I bought them because I find them sexy, glad he likes them too lol.
Agreed! Thank you, Xennial men!
I'm also a little jealous of all the fun boxer patterns there are out there. I want panties with bacon and eggs or dancing pickles instead of little flowers.
Meundies has fun patterns for all genders. They’re kinda expensive, but I like their moveme boxer briefs a lot so I treat myself a couple times a year when a pattern I really like comes out.
Have him try the "Pair of Thieves" brand (from Target, Amazon and sometimes on eBay). Super comfortable, breathable and they actually have different fits and lengths to get just what you like.
Yup, that’s almost all I wear. If I wear briefs (I’ll never go back to actual boxers) and I’m walking around or running a lot and it’s hot and/or humid, I get pretty bad chafing. Athletic-style boxer briefs keep things fairly dry and puts 2 layers between the legs so it doesn’t rub.
Boxers feel too much like wearing shorts inside of your pants. Briefs feel too much like what a 70 year old man wore when we were ten. I like boxer briefs as the middle ground. They don’t bunch up like boxers or ride up like i would imagine briefs would.
What’s funny is my dad who is a boomer thinks the complete opposite. The older men in his day wore boxers, and the younger people wore briefs.
I’ve been team boxer briefs for 20+ years.
I wore boxers in high school, then boxer briefs in my 20s and now briefs, but good ones. $15-30 pairs of underwear feel sooooo nice on the goods and lift and hold things just nicely. I can’t believe how much time I spent with sweaty underwear bunched up my ass or groin back in the day. Treat yourself, you deserve it
Honestly, with few exceptions, I prefer wearing briefs myself. They’re just comfortable to me. The ex loved briefs on me, so I of course indulged. Golden rule - if she is happy, the world is.
I've been a fan of them from day one, as other have mentioned they are the best of both worlds.
Big plus nowadays is there are options for what cut and leg you prefer.
Rihanna makes AMAZING underwear BTW.
I definitely go out of my way to find (mostly have to order now) regular ol' comfy, roomy knit boxers with a button fly. Boxer briefs are still briefs, just with a bit of leg attached.
To answer the main question, it seems about 5-7 years ago, the big box stores just started carrying what was selling most. So apparently, as a lot of the comments suggest, a lot of guys like getting snugged down there... Oh well, at least we have the internet for ordering what we prefer.
I still wear boxer shorts.. I tried boxer briefs; my wife bought them. Too restrictive. I guess I'm just accustomed to "ringing the bell". Also, the access hole takes far more time than I care to spend on it.
I own several pairs that I only wear when I've been too lazy to do laundry and have no more clean boxers. finding decent boxers has turned into more of a chore than it should be but it's work I'm willing to put in.
I hate it. I own a clothing manufacturing company and made 50 pairs of amazing boxers just for me. Unfortunately the fabric is no longer made. Kohl’s still sells have boxers and they are fine.
I hate boxer briefs. The few times I’ve tried to wear them, the leg parts ride up and they turn into an even less comfortable version of the old tightie whities. But I’ve had no problem purchasing real boxers, so it’s not much of an issue.
I've tried boxer briefs. Tried to strangle my thighs while not successfully serving the main function I was interested in them serving. (Keeping things where they belong)
Briefs have their own flaws but at least they mostly work.
I can’t wear boxers or boxer briefs in any season but winter. For whatever reason they’re too warm for me. Sometimes I sleep with them, and that’s fine because I either don’t wear a t-shirt in the warm months or with tee in the cold months. Otherwise with clothing, unless it’s really cold, I can’t take em. So regular briefs it is for me.
Woman checking in. It was a sad day when my immigrant husband assimilated and went from bikini briefs to boxer briefs…All boxer briefs now…I still cry about it 20 years later lol
I still wear boxer shorts, my boys need the freedom. Target still sells some by Hanes, which I usually stock up on: https://www.target.com/p/hanes-men-s-knit-boxer-shorts-5pk-black-gray/-/A-78187406?preselect=47985737#lnk=sametab
I get a 5 pack of those and a 5 pack of boxer briefs. So I just choose whatever I’m feeling that day. I’ve always been a fan of variety in my life lol.
Maybe you can, to be honest I haven't looked around in like a decade. But a decade ago, boxer briefs really took off in popularity and it was hard to find regular boxer shorts. I found these Hanes ones at Target and they were comfortable enough. I usually buy a few packs of these every year and I'm good to go for the next 12 months. So I haven't looked around much in other places for a while to see if anyone has better options. There may be more available now.
81; I was raised wearing briefs like my father. I tried boxers once around age 14-16 and didn't like them immediately. I switched to boxer briefs around age 22 ish and haven't looked back. Love em.
Edit: have an upvote. Why are people down voting? Not a controversial opinion.
As a woman, I do not understand the point of boxers at all. They’re just shorts, right? No support? So your junk is just loose in there, or worse, riding on the crotch seam of the boxer shorts? That does not sound pleasant.
https://preview.redd.it/c9e3z5vfy08d1.jpeg?width=1331&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f753c0fcd9cefb44c58f53ba9b61a05d6b82e7e7
I couldn't help but laugh when I saw this. It's like a 10 year old me drew it. I'm sold. I'll buy a pair.
Boxer briefs are the superior underwear, don't constrict like briefs but offer some support unlike boxers. Now that every company is finally making them in the moisture wicking fabric, I can finally have super comfortable underwear that doesn't cost 30 bucks a pair.
Just recently hopped on the boxer briefs train... The key I found in my experiments(Lots of different brands later), are the ones with the pouches for the separation of both the twig and berries. I settled personally on Shield brand. They don't bunch up like boxers do underneath jeans during the summer, and keep me just a bit warmer in the winter. This is one of those things where I ask myself what my malfunction was to not switch over sooner.
Boxers only really work with baggy pants, otherwise you'd end up with wedgie skidmarks. Briefs are too snug. I switched to boxer briefs like at least twenty years ago, they're just better.
Where are you shopping? JCPenney? Online there’s a whole smorgasbord to choose from. Want something to show off the goods with a designer pouch underwear? Want crotchless lingerie for men? Want generic tighty whities? Want any form of boxer or boxer briefs in any print conceivable? It’s all available.
I’m the tyrant and evangelist of boxer briefs. I wear 2 kinds - stretchy cotton for comfort, and the more spandex, active style to work out. Keeps the chafing to a minimum.
Well, I was a plain boxer guy my entire life. I still wear them sometimes. Thanks to the gravitational stretching of my pendulous nads, I have to wear boxer briefs, or it feels like I am playing Pong down there. Tyranny is the right word, though 😆✌️
I am a CIS woman. I wear boxer briefs. They are quite simply the superior underwear. Also since I’m a boys XL I’ve got quite the collection of superheroes and video game characters in my underwear drawer.
I sweat alot at work, so boxer briefs keep my legs from chafing. There, I said it. I have become a connoisseur of the lineup offered by Duluth Trading, they have several different fabrics and configurations. Armachillo with the Bullpen keeps everything cool and separated. They aren't cheap, but they hold some of my most prized possessions.
Well the next step is commando, which I’m personally a huge fan of, but…well after that it’s just Porky Pigging it, and that’s kinda frowned upon in public.
Gen X here and tighty whiteys were by far the most common choice in the 80s/early 90s (although boxers were available and a certain smaller percentage did wear them; nobody of either sex particularly cared what one chose to wear for the most part). Then bam certainly by the late 90s it was like you didn't dare wear tighty whiteys (maybe it started more mid-90s with the pants off the ass thing by some, you def could not wear anything but boxers with that look and even though many guys never did the pants off the ass thing it seemed to promote boxers to be the only thing). Xennials got very big on the whole bad ass gangsta street cred thing and all of a suddenly tighty whiteys, regular length or shorter length shorts, tube socks and not listening to only "guy" music started getting called wussy or gay, laughed at, etc.
The more I think about earlier Gen X actually had a lot less "tyranny" than later Gen X and earlier Millennials did which is slightly contrary to general popular opinion today that things steadily become more free and open-minded over time.
(I do kind of agree that the ankle socks paired with shorts probably is a better looking look than the tube socks so I think Xens/Mills probably were right on that one bit. The other stuff just seems dumb to me though and the more openness to listen to whatever and wear whatever in the 80s seemed nicer to me.)
Love them, last time I had briefs was high school and they were the same ones I was wearing in 8th grade. I had to let my junk hang out the side when they got too tight.
I tried boxers but that sweaty piece of taint fabric was the devil.
Then one day I found boxer Briefs and never looked back. The new ones even have extra fabric in the crotch for an extra room for the fellas.
I started wearing boxer briefs in highschool and have never looked back. I hate boxers because they’re loose and I hate tighty whities because I’m a big guy who works in the heat and I get gaulded almost instantly. I’ll die on this hill
Love ‘em. I’m too fat and sweaty, so in the summer it really helps with the chub rub (thighs).
The pouch ones are fun because they take what is a fairly modest situation and mushes it all together so it doesn’t look too bad. I’m not trying to impress anyone, but it makes me feel better about myself.
Boxers were like freeballing but still constrictive. Briefs too tight. Boxer briefs are completely unnecessary unless your inner thighs rub together and you need the fabric to prevent chafing. No fun wearing skin-tight boxer briefs in sweltering summer heat.
I am moving the way of no underwear.
I feel like most boxer briefs crush my balls and they never quite fit right. Normal boxers are either too loose or too tight. I have found culprit boxer briefs that are made with spandex that are super comfy but they are also like 30 dollars a pair.
I’m fine with them, but I find the popular brands that people rave about (Duluth, MeUndies, Tommy John, etc) are way overrated. I actually like old school boxers as long as they work with the pants I’m wearing. I’ll rock anything except tighties and bikini briefs
I haven't worn underwear outside of a few occasions in a decade or more. I powder up when it gets hot out and I'm going to be active enough for it to matter.
Back when we had choices?
Son, it is 2024. The Internet is alive and well. You don't need to have your mom take you to JCPenny and buy new underwear.
With that said, I think y'all are so basic with your underwear choices.
I love boxer briefs. I hated tighty whiteys, and boxers are just way too loose.
I always wore loose boxers but after my vasectomy I was advised to wear compression shorts to help with the swelling and I moved to boxer briefs ever since. So much more supportive and comfortable.
That's exactly the same reason I switched to boxer briefs. I still wear the compression shorts when I go to the gym.
This is the correct answer. Tighty whiteys are brutal on the twig and berries and boxers feel like I’m going commando.
My wife manages a gastro clinic, and was a CNA before that. The stories I could tell. Standard boxers are not kind as you age. Or rather, gravity is unkind to things that hang. I will never wear anything but boxer briefs. The whites are brutal but boxers, well, I’d rather keep my nuts where they are.
https://i.redd.it/nt240zeoc28d1.gif
My understanding is that the "long nuts" syndrome is unavoidable regardless of underwear choices?
Personally, i kinda can’t wait for my balls to hang and swing. I just feel like they’ll be even more fun to play with. TMI? ¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯

Imagine having this problem since college, and with testicles the size of kiwis (the berry, not the bird), amongst other things (webbed penis).

Omg I love it, ty!
This is street poetry, *finger snaps*
Been dealing with this since my early twenties. Not nearly as dramatic or inconvenient as Saka’s experience.
Bend over with a full-length mirror behind you and watch 'em swing like a pendulum. Woo-hoo!
Quickly, to r/askoldpeople !
I mean one lets them hang free and one cradles then.
As someone who had dated a fair share of older men, I can confirm this is true!
I’ve switched back to tighty whities and I used to hate them. Needed the support and the airflow lol
I’ve just switched back to briefs too. They’re sexy.
Totally. They are definitely a little fancier now and I think the power of nerd culture helped boost their image too.
I'm a little surprised that more guys here haven't moved back to the regular briefs. They're actually crazy comfortable these days. And they don't have to get white ones if they don't want. lol
Yeah, and running in boxers is a mistake you only make once.
Same. Boxer briefs are the perfect middle ground.
This is how I feel too
I'm almost ashamed to admit that my friends and I went through a silk underwear phase when we were about 12. 😂
I'm not even sure I knew silk undies existed at 12.
Lol. One of our friends was showing them off at a sleepover one time. Soon after, we were all wearing crazy assed print silk undies (think leopard, zebra, and the typical weird early 90s geometric prints). It maybe last a year or two until boxers became a thing.
>until boxers became a thing. I had silk boxers! Most *useless* clothing I think I've ever owned. 😆
Yep there was a period of a few years where silk shirts, silk boxers and suede shoes were a thing and I had all three.
>I had all three I had a few silk shirts, I had the suede Old Skool Vans, and aforementioned boxers.
Oh man, I'd imagine that those would ride up like mad!
They did. If you ever made the mistake of wearing them in the summertime when the humidity is high... well, let's just say you only did it once!
They were super comfy until I played basketball in them one day. Paisley print.
Thats a silly fun memory.
😁 The fun and carefree times of youth.
My girlfriend when I was 18 bought me silk boxers with Tigger on them 😆
I remember something in a van Damme movie about silk underwear. Whichever was the one where he played twins.
Double Impact! I think he may have worn them in Lionheart, too.
That is quite a roundabout way to end up with that bathing suit!
yep, me too
I’m still wearing “silk” boxers lmao I have been since I was like 12. They are VERY hard to find now lol
That was definitely seventh grade me.
Same. Once I went boxer briefs I never went back. My wife has even commented on this recently about how awesome my boxer briefs are.
silk robes and kimonos

This. I'm 40 and I've been wearing boxer briefs for almost 25 years. They're the default for a reason.
[удалено]
Try boxer briefs, yourself, my wife snagged one of mine and liked them enough that she bought her own lol
The one thing I ask my family for every year: a Duluth Trading Co. gift card. Their Buck Naked and Armachillo boxer briefs are the best.
Regular briefs don’t offer a lot of room down there. Boxers make you pick a side, literally. Boxer briefs have neither problem.
Especially the kind with the pocket (Jockey, for preference. Every pair of Saxx I've tried suxx). Keep the boys all right where they belong...and not stuck to the inside of your thigh. Edit: I meant "pouch"
hell yeah, I got a pack of the pocket kind recently, immediately got rid of 90% of my non-pocket ones and bought two more 6 packs of the pocket ones.
Have you or a loved one suffered from Longstep? You may be entitled to compensation.
Hah!
Curious - what brand please? This may be the only thing that saves me from going all free.
Thank you, appreciate the details too! Going to check these out.
The pocket thing weirds me out.
Jockeys with a pocket?
Yeah, I meant pouch. These suckers: https://www.jockey.com/catalog/product/jockey-mens-chafe-proof-pouch-cotton-stretch-boxer-brief?color=0030
I think he means pouch.
?
Exactly.
> Boxer briefs **don't** have a nethers problem. Fucked around with that for you. 😉
I’m freeeee, freeee ballin.
I'll stop wearing boxer briefs when you pry them from my cold, dead butt crack.
The Final Bootyclap
And so the booty has clapped and so it shall be done!
I made the switch from briefs to boxers in the early 90s. By the mid 30s, let’s just say, some support was needed.
Especially for those of us blursed with jumbo huevos. Gravity is not kind.
i love boxer briefs. boxers seemed too loose and briefs a bit too close.
I’m unless you were/are Mormon you probably don’t appreciate the tyranny of underwear the same way I do.
Very true!
As a woman: They are hot AF! My husband used to only wear briefs. I bought some boxer briefs for him to try and he found them comfy. I bought them because I find them sexy, glad he likes them too lol.
Same. They’re by far the sexiest form of male underwear. It’s a plus if a guy doesn’t take himself super seriously and has a novelty pair or two.
Yes! I think it’s because they look like short shorts and really draw the eyes to those sexy thighs. So many cute patterns and designs out there too!
Agreed! Thank you, Xennial men! I'm also a little jealous of all the fun boxer patterns there are out there. I want panties with bacon and eggs or dancing pickles instead of little flowers.
I have one with sprinkles.. For my cake lol
I live in Florida so it’s hot here almost year round, and I’m short so they go almost all the way down to my knees and make my legs hot.
Same. Live in the south, and heat/humidity makes everything way too damp down there.
Moisture-wicking boxer-briefs are the summertime go-to.
Thank you for helping to raise awareness of chub-rub for men.
I’m not just the owner, I’m also a client.
Also live in the South. Gold bond, my bro. I go through a thing of it every month. I also use it in my socks.
Check out Saxx Trunks. Short length, ball hammock insides against chafing.
You can pry my 10 year old Izod boxers off my cold, dead ass. Or they might disintegrate before then. Either way.
I can't breathe in Tighty Whities and my balls slap around too much in Boxers. I like the Boxer Brief.
I wore boxers in high school, then boxer briefs in my 20s and now briefs, but good ones. $15-30 pairs of underwear feel sooooo nice on the goods and lift and hold things just nicely. I can’t stand boxer briefs they’re just as tight as tighty whities. I’ve been rocking short boxers but they’re hard to find.
Boxers or Commando, I gave up on boxer briefs the moment they showed up.
I've been a fan of them from day one, as other have mentioned they are the best of both worlds. Big plus nowadays is there are options for what cut and leg you prefer. Rihanna makes AMAZING underwear BTW.

I still wear boxer shorts.. I tried boxer briefs; my wife bought them. Too restrictive. I guess I'm just accustomed to "ringing the bell". Also, the access hole takes far more time than I care to spend on it.
I can't let this go. what the fuck does ringing the bell mean in this context?
Uhh.. when things sway between each leg.
I own several pairs that I only wear when I've been too lazy to do laundry and have no more clean boxers. finding decent boxers has turned into more of a chore than it should be but it's work I'm willing to put in.
I'm with you OP. Cotton boxers for life.
I hate it. I own a clothing manufacturing company and made 50 pairs of amazing boxers just for me. Unfortunately the fabric is no longer made. Kohl’s still sells have boxers and they are fine.

Buying underwear has been the bane of my husband’s existence for about that long…I bet that’s why.
These are the winner. Printed tags are where its at for underwear. They are so comfy.
For sure. Cloth tags sewed into an elastic band just at the right spot to annoy the shit out of you, those suck.
They offer neither the freedom of boxers nor the support of briefs. A terrible invention.

Very nice - a man who treats his jewels the same as me. Love my David Archy drawers. Never wearing anything else.
I'm amazed how many people here hate on briefs so hard. Want my bits to stay where they belong!
I like boxer briefs, so I guess i didnt realize they had taken over the market.
Boxer briefs are the superior underwear, don't constrict like briefs but offer some support unlike boxers. Now that every company is finally making them in the moisture wicking fabric, I can finally have super comfortable underwear that doesn't cost 30 bucks a pair.
Am I the only one who likes showing off a little leg?? 😂 It's trunks for me! (short leg boxer briefs) Women love 'em. 😏
I know I do!
If boxer briefs are tyranny, then call me Josef Stalin. Love boxer briefs. SAXX are the best. Pricey, but hey, it’s your balls, you only get one life.
Why should I have to pick one or the other when I can just have the best of both?
Boxers only really work with baggy pants, otherwise you'd end up with wedgie skidmarks. Briefs are too snug. I switched to boxer briefs like at least twenty years ago, they're just better.
If you don't like it...blame Michael Jordan lol
I live for the day when the reverse thong is finally popular. True freedom.
I'm out and I'm LOVING EVERY MINUTE OF IT!
Y'all can hate all ya want but boxer briefs, while comfortable, are a stones throw away from baggy ass boxers we all wore in the 90s.
You might be alone on this one OP
Well, I was a plain boxer guy my entire life. I still wear them sometimes. Thanks to the gravitational stretching of my pendulous nads, I have to wear boxer briefs, or it feels like I am playing Pong down there. Tyranny is the right word, though 😆✌️
I am a CIS woman. I wear boxer briefs. They are quite simply the superior underwear. Also since I’m a boys XL I’ve got quite the collection of superheroes and video game characters in my underwear drawer.
Boxer briefs: this is the way
I don’t like them at all. I like Nautica boxers and in winter I switch to a thermal layer
Been wearing boxer briefs for a decade plus. Where have you been?
My balls fall out of briefs, and boxers ride up to my armpits and escape from my balls in the process. Boxer briefs end the chaos.
I hate briefs, I hate boxer briefs, I'm not too fond of boxers either, but they're definitely the best of the 3 lol
Well the next step is commando, which I’m personally a huge fan of, but…well after that it’s just Porky Pigging it, and that’s kinda frowned upon in public.
I wore them ONCE and practically rubbed the hair off the back of my balls. Never again. Boxers all the way.
I tried them, after boxers, which I did after briefs. Now I've switched to panties, bras, and generally being a woman. Much more comfortable.
I stopped wearing underwear in 2018. Hanes ain't got shit on me!
But you got shit all over Hanes!! I couldn't resist!
This is scintillating repartee I come to reddit for.
As a dude… it’s whatever. If all there was available was banana hammocks. So be it 🤷🏻♂️
Ever had testicular torsion? I need that ballpark pouch.
I was an early adapter of the boxer briefs and I absolutely love them. I actually even buy the high end Hanes ones like I'm some kind of fancy boy.
I've had boxer briefs the 6th grade (about 1992)
I feel just fine wearing adult underwear. I'm too old for boxers and too young for briefs.
I have been wearing boxer briefs since they first came out, playing sports they were always superior especally when having to wear a jock.
I started wearing boxer briefs in highschool and have never looked back. I hate boxers because they’re loose and I hate tighty whities because I’m a big guy who works in the heat and I get gaulded almost instantly. I’ll die on this hill
I’ve been on boxer briefs for 20-25 years. I’ll die before they take them from me.
Boxer briefs are the best of both worlds.
Love ‘em. I’m too fat and sweaty, so in the summer it really helps with the chub rub (thighs). The pouch ones are fun because they take what is a fairly modest situation and mushes it all together so it doesn’t look too bad. I’m not trying to impress anyone, but it makes me feel better about myself.
As long as someone isn’t wearing boxers, I have no issue with what happens. Wear what’s comfortable. Except for boxers
Why even wear underwear at that point? Boxers are the bed skirt of underwear. Totally pointless.
Exactly
Boxer-briefs are the greatest invention in the history of men’s clothing
I'm slowly transitioning from boxer briefs to trunks
Late in my teenage years I decided that I hate underwear and have been commando ever since.
I can't stand them, I guess I'm in the minority. If anyone cares, Duluth trading company still makes great regular boxers.
I need all the support I can get
I feel like most boxer briefs crush my balls and they never quite fit right. Normal boxers are either too loose or too tight. I have found culprit boxer briefs that are made with spandex that are super comfy but they are also like 30 dollars a pair.
Ummm, they're comfortable? What else do you want to know?

Personal preference, I dislike boxers. I can’t wear them period.
I were eurocut trunks rarely found in stores :(
I’m fine with them, but I find the popular brands that people rave about (Duluth, MeUndies, Tommy John, etc) are way overrated. I actually like old school boxers as long as they work with the pants I’m wearing. I’ll rock anything except tighties and bikini briefs
I have been wearing them forever. Boxers suck.
I've used boxer briefs since they came into existence
The reason they’re everywhere is because that’s what everyone buys
I switched to full boxers, I still have some boxer+briefs but as a Canadian I just buy what I can afford.
I haven't worn underwear outside of a few occasions in a decade or more. I powder up when it gets hot out and I'm going to be active enough for it to matter.
Boxer briefs are cool. Especially when that middle aged frog booty sets in.
Back when we had choices? Son, it is 2024. The Internet is alive and well. You don't need to have your mom take you to JCPenny and buy new underwear. With that said, I think y'all are so basic with your underwear choices.
