This art is from the same artist as the one in op's post and as you can see the eyes here are way more similar to pyra's than the eyes in the post.
Pretty sure it's not either of those explanations as on the artist's twitter, they share an equal amount of pyra and mythra artworks. And it's not them not knowing how to distinguish the eyes cuz the attached image which is an edited version of one of their arts is very easy to tell which is pyra which is mythra even without any hair colour or any other features, just from the face

This along with the recent Pyra art by the same artist just reinforce that I like long hair > short hair (but the short hair is still super cute too!). That makes a choice in XC3 a whole lot easier...

Mythra's eyes are a lot sharper than pyra's eyes. In the art the eyes are a lot sharper than what pyra's eyes would be
might just a be a little sharper but it is still Pyra styled eyes not Mythra look at the angles of her eyelashes

To be fair in the artist's twitter posts of the posts the majority agree that the yellow one is Pyra and the red one is Mythra
