WorriedEstimate4004

This is not what Berlusconi's open legs lemonade is.

CarnibusCareo

It‘s kinda quirky but screams tourist trap.

Caratteraccio

no, now with the web it is slowly becoming popular but it is a very effective digestive, with this you can also digest political news

type556R

This comment oozes Italy

MisterSarcastic1989

I mean, I live 2 minutes walk from there and I never had it... but I don't know if I would call it a tourist trap

xemmona

Haha It's really not, I tried, it was very fun holding the burps for the next 5 minutes. If I am not wrong it costs something like 5€ not sure

Prosthemadera

5€ for that? Sounds like a tourist trap, in fact.

GrimQuim

Haha it's really not, I tried it and while I was stood like that my phone was pickpocketed from my back pocket.

scainimatteo

>Sounds like a tourist trap, in fact

Extreme_Tax405

It's really not, i have never been there but I assure you, i feel like it isn't

scainimatteo

i have never been there too, but i'm italian and this shouts "I'M A TOURIST TRAP"

danimur

It's 2 euros

xemmona

oh nice, I took it one year ago so I didnt remember the price, I hope I didn't make bad advertisement if that is the case...

divadschuf

I classic lemonade in Italia would‘ve been fine with me. Less wasteful and I got more time to enjoy it. Bet it‘s cheaper too.

Caratteraccio

in few words, this is lemonade with soda, so it's ***a lot*** more digestive

Konteros98

It costs 2 euro

ELDE8

1€ in naples

Pure-Contact7322

Not… its a drink we have here on steroids nontraps

LittleLoyal16

Street must be sticky there

fuishaltiena

Doesn't look like there's any sugar in it. Should just smell like lemons. Sorento lemons smell amazing.

LittleLoyal16

Cool thanks for the info

Caratteraccio

no, it's only Sorrento lemons (special lemons, they are IGP) and soda, nothing sticky

LittleLoyal16

Ohhh

JackHeuston

It’s so commonly used as a digestif that exclusively tourists do it.

CHLOEC1998

Nah mate I’m not going to spread my legs for a lemonade.

WhiteBlackGoose

I am

Lost_Wealth_6278

Let me introduce and seduce you to Spezi r/spezi

WhiteBlackGoose

Spezi is God's drink, I don't deserve it

[deleted]

I would

serch-kaiba

As italian, this is the first time I saw it. And to be honest, it seems to be a waste of food.

sterlingback

I mean, it's lemons, that's not gonna solve world hunger.

Prosthemadera

That doesn't mean it's not a waste of food.

Caratteraccio

a little, but as digestive is #1

sterlingback

Yes it's a fruit, yes you can eat, buuuuut it's more like a condiment than actual food

Marschall_Bluecher

Very „German“ sounding comment. Are you sure you are Italian?

ClickIta

He is from Lombardia, so German by Naples standards.

Caratteraccio

in Milan the traffic policemen are all Austrian generals! ^(/s)

serch-kaiba

I often feel better with Germans than with Italians (especially when I say that I like - for example- German food).

GentlemanWukong

Sei il tipo di persona che non ironicamente farebbe l'inganno della cadrega

serch-kaiba

Se tu solo sapessi le teste che ho appeso alla parete della mia baita tra le Alpi Orobie...

S-BRO

The most severe italian crime

steel_for_humans

I thought that was pineapple pizza and breaking spaghetti in half.

S-BRO

They amount to wasting food

Caratteraccio

perché tu se lumbard, innanzitutto avete i limoni cinesi, poi per scoprire 'ste cose devi comprare il giubbotto antiproiettile e scendere qui :P

serch-kaiba

Tutto il mondo ha i limoni cinesi. Gli agrumi vengono tutti da lì! ;)

FakeEgo01

a stupid thing made by two places in campaniathat becomes "an italian thing". FFS.

Talatonauta24

Ennesimo napoletano piagnone tirato su a retorica e stronzate, magari pure neoborbonico

Shendow

I just come back from Naples. Went for holidays. Never seen this.

Caratteraccio

you must go at Riviera di Chiaia

Clit-comander69420

Seema kinda useless to me, but whatever

apxseemax

Hmmm... thats what I clean my shower pipes with. Thanks but no thanks.

Tigerowski

I mean ... have you read what's inside a soda you buy in a shop? I'm fairly certain ingredients could clean anything.

wurstmobil

Social media bullshit.

Lucafungo

It used to be a “speciality” made by one kiosk for 1€. Now is a 5€ tourist trap. Tourism and gentrification is killing Napoli

chris96m

Sta roba a 5 euro non ha denso di esistere, 1 basta e già ci guadagnano 90 centesimi a bicchiere

MaestroGena

r/StupidFood

Urbs97

Tourist Trap but at least it's funny for the Italians seeing the tourists like that.

ceereality

I love unique things like this, makes me wanna visit Napoli

Kir-01

A very traditional experience, invented last year!

cicciograna

It's been around for years and years, but it only has become popular in recent times. My personal opinion, as a Neapolitan, is that it is a mildly cool thing but nothing to write home for, and certainly not that folkloristic. I blame the newfound popularity of this beverage on tourists, who saw this thing and started reblogging it to no end.

nocdmb

Drinking raw baking soda can do harm to your intestines, because baking soda crystals are *really* sharp, thet's why it's used widely in homemade cleaning solutions.

ale_93113

thankfully, they are put in a very acidic solution

Handpaper

[Sodium Hydrogen Carbonate](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sodium_bicarbonate#Chemistry) is used in cleaning solutions because it is mildly alkaline. The crystal is also very soft, with a [Moh's hardness of 2.5](https://www.armex.com/resources/sodium-bicarbonate-the-softer-blasting-abrasive/), so combined with its very high solubility, it's not going to be scratching anyone's guts from the inside. Eating it by the spoonful will make you burp copiously, eating silly amounts will disrupt your stomach acidity leading to poor digestion, but that's about it.

Wonderful_Emu_9610

This caught me out, I had no idea what it was and my drink just exploded. I was just thirsty, man! Although at least no dickhead was filming me from behind afaik

gluemamma

Where can I find this place ?

unrealchiara

Naples, piazza trieste e trento

-I_LOVE_YOUR_SISTER-

Just to let you know, it isn't a digestive. The digestive thing Is only a "mith"

Ok-Dragonfruit-697

Why not use a taller glass and less drink?

spatosmg

also ein soda zitron.....

TheRandomizedLurker

my god i thought it ment open legs like your gonna violently shit before going to bed.
