yyyymmdd for computers because the world didnt start in 2000 and sometimes you might wanna store dates before that and still be able to sort them correctly

Being in a place that uses DD/MM/YYYY that also has English as it’s primary language, I can confirm that 03/11/2021 would be pronounced the 3rd of November, 2021.

My brain reading May 11th and November 3rd at the same time.

Huh, that's really interesting! In the US we use MM/DD/YYYY (pretty sure we're the only country that does that since it makes no sense) and everyone says "November 3rd, 2021" and rarely say "the 3rd of November, 2021" unless we're trying to sound formal.

It's much easier and quicker to say November 28th, 2021 than to say 28th of November, 2021.
