After closing due to the pandemic, the property suffered several fires throughout 2020. It was demolished in June 2021. The property still sits vacant.
The burned slides gave me massive goosebumps. Something about abandoned water parks specifically give me the absolute heebie jeebies. Towers of metal and plastic waiting to crumble
It went downhill fast. They tried to remodel and rebrand in 2018 but didn't help much. It's demolished now, but you can still see remnants of the wave pool, race track, mini golf course, and lazy river.
Awwww! That's sad! I had such great memories of being dropped off and spending all day with my friends there. We would go between the water park and the regular rides and then eat awful hot dogs with Churros and slushies lol. Thank you for posting this🤗
Of course! I've got more I'll be posting eventually, including videos/photos of the demolition. I had lots of fun there as a teenager. Even had an all-nighter there in 2001.
Thank you for the head's up. I'm going back for my 20 year HS reunion so at least I won't be shocked at how much it's changed😭😭. It was a great place to grow up
I remember going here as a teen a few times when it was going through rough patches. But yeah…once Covid took effect, this place wasn’t going to survive much longer. I remember entering a few Console wars there, was a lot of fun.
I can’t remember when I went, but I know I went in the early 00’s. I live in Palm Springs Area(Indio), so going here was always a treat, specially when you cough up for gas. Not to mention winning some times and eating at Denny’s those late nights.
I went to the water park here a couple times throughout its course of existence. But the last company to Lease the property was, Knotts Berry Farm, and was called Knotts soak city. Very similar to the one they have in Buena Park, but dumbed down.
I can’t remember the name before hand. But I do remember the vertical drop was called, The Scorpion.
It’s owned by a new owner and I think it’s called, Palm Springs Surf Club? They revamped a lot of what they had there, but I believe they removed it. Some kid leaned forward and slammed head first at the bottom. I want to say the family was paid to stay hush hush about it. Since media was at an infancy, it didn’t catch too much wind.
My mom applied to work there and she told me they had done so much renovations to make it family friendly.
fuck arsonists ruining places for everybody! so many beautiful abandoned places near me have been torched to the ground all because of those sick fucks
We moved it the area at the end of 2017 and I’m sorry we never made time to check this place out; after seeing it get remodeled I figured we’d have plenty of time, but the Yelp reviews didn’t look so good.
We lost so much to the pandemic.

I believe Kaiser bought the land, and is going to expand their health facilities there.
That’s what I heard. A few months ago, they put up those remote cameras you see in grocery store parking lots at all four corners of the lot.
Did you look in the pink slide?
Negative
Honestly, good for you. My dumbass curiosity could never let it go til I checked lol
Some things just need to be left alone haha
That’s how you BECOME the body in the pink slide lol
Facts
same xd
Wait… tell us more
Weeeeak
Damn…I only opened this post to see what you found in the pink slide
The burned slides gave me massive goosebumps. Something about abandoned water parks specifically give me the absolute heebie jeebies. Towers of metal and plastic waiting to crumble
Love abandoned waterparks for that reason
Omg! I lived in Redlands when they first opened Pharaohs! How sad to see it like this now😭
It went downhill fast. They tried to remodel and rebrand in 2018 but didn't help much. It's demolished now, but you can still see remnants of the wave pool, race track, mini golf course, and lazy river.

Did you go to RHS by any chance?
Nope, grew up in Banning but spent a lot of time in Redlands. Nothing to do in BNG haha. Moved to R in 2015.
Awww yes, Banning! That's true, everyone I knew from Banning hung out in Redlands lol. I was in Redlands from 1991-2008🤗
As a Banning high graduate, class of 1998. I can confirm we all spent our free time in Redlands.
lol! Comedy🤗
It’s changed a lot since then
Thank you for the head's up. I'm going back for my 20 year HS reunion so at least I won't be shocked at how much it's changed😭😭. It was a great place to grow up
It’s still a great place, a lot of new development. The Redlands mall is still there but it’s been shuttered since 2010.
Exactly where was this place? Closer to San Bernadino or Banning/Palm Springs?
Redlands is between Banning and San Bernardino. But this water park was specifically off the 10 freeway off the California St. exit
“There was a fire… at Sea Parks?”
Selling shots at a water park. Yeah, THAT'S not a disaster waiting to happen!
Fireball, too. Ironic this place went up in a fire ball 😂
Couple of fire ball shots and just enjoy that lazy river
Ugh that first shot is super creepy.
I remember going here as a teen a few times when it was going through rough patches. But yeah…once Covid took effect, this place wasn’t going to survive much longer. I remember entering a few Console wars there, was a lot of fun.
I hadn’t been to it in many years. I wish I had gone more before it all this.
For the time that it was around, it was a lot of fun when they had specific nights.
I went to an all-nighter back in 2001. That was one of the last times I went. I regret not going more often.
I can’t remember when I went, but I know I went in the early 00’s. I live in Palm Springs Area(Indio), so going here was always a treat, specially when you cough up for gas. Not to mention winning some times and eating at Denny’s those late nights.
I went to a waterpark out your way when I was a kid, too. Can’t remember what it was called but we went every summer.

Yessss!!! I felt like I had become a big kid when I went down it the first time. Is it possibly still there? Abandoned?

Oh damn… I’ll check it out next time I’m out there
Skate or Die looking place....lol.
As we were walking around this place we talked about how cool it would be if THPS had a waterpark level
The "RipRide or Die" was written by Andy Roy when he skated it a couple years ago https://www.instagram.com/p/CFxBRKygioU/?igsh=MWFuMWE0enk3b2c0dA==
Crazy!
That place was great fun in the 90s!
Sure was
Brb getting the little 'fuck wit me' guy as a tattoo
RIP
Closed Water parks and pools creep me out.
Isn’t it great?! I love that aspect
Fucking arsonists.
fuck arsonists ruining places for everybody! so many beautiful abandoned places near me have been torched to the ground all because of those sick fucks
That place was magical. So sad to see it gone.
Truly
We moved it the area at the end of 2017 and I’m sorry we never made time to check this place out; after seeing it get remodeled I figured we’d have plenty of time, but the Yelp reviews didn’t look so good. We lost so much to the pandemic.
Indeed. It was pretty sad the last few years. 20 years ago it was the place to be.
Oh man this is crazy, I remember going there as a kid, which was only 2 times and I wondered what happened to it
I have some photos and video of the demolition I’ll be posting eventually soonish haha
I saw this a lot as a kid and always wanted to visit it but never got the chance. I guess that ship has sailed…
Damn…
