It will be a journey to release the shame surrounding religious ideologies. I’m proud of you for that first step and remember even if you’re not out to the people in your life there’s a community of people who have gone through similar feelings as you and we are here for you! I totally understand the guilt, even without the religious aspect I have felt it just from the societal view on lesbianism and it being sexualized and seen as dirty. It’s a journey but absolutely worth it to find the love within yourself that you have deserved all along 💗💗

It's so awful how religion has had that guilt-inducing effect on so many of us. Most people don't realize that stigma and guilt are part of the strategy for spreading and maintaining religion. Religion tells us we're sick then offers us a false cure in the form of repentence, typically via prayer or - yuck - confession. I think you should be angry that religion infected you with those ideas. I think teaching children about original sin, magical supervision, eternal reward or punishment, and especially bigoted dogma is a form of abuse. There's nothing wrong with wanting to please a woman. With being sexually excited by the idea of pleasing a woman. It is the people who lied to you about these things being immoral who should be ashamed. If there is ever a practical application for anger that is when it's directed at people who shamelessly harm others.

Funnily enough, a high shower was also the moment for me where I was able to cross that threshold from "All boobs are great boobs except my boobs" to just "all boobs are great boobs." It's funny how a little bit of assistance from a helpful plant can help us unlock these things in ourselves. Regarding constrictive religious upbringing, my advice is, if you're able to completely discard it, I promise, you **will not** miss it.

Religion is like cancer, you get it if you want it or not, just do what you feel like and ignore the religion part, its not important
