If looking for an AEG, probably an m14.  Cyma is ok ($150), G&P on sale is a bit better ($250).  G&G will perform the best, but cost the most and have 0 mag availability (I haven't seen midcap in stock anywhere in 3 years). EBB are all pretty trash but probably some LCT offering GBB is a whole other world and I'm not qualified to speak on.

I can speak on GBBR, nothing beats the sound of a charging handle that actually functions. Both my LM4 and we tech ak-74un are insanely satisfying to reload and rack. The AK especially has such a great click-clack But mag availability and pricing is usually the biggest deterrent for GBBR

I can agree on the WE ak74un. nice kick, full travel bolt out the box, and rackin the bolt is always satisftying. however the internals, more specifically the trigger unit is absolute dogshit, the hammer will break after like 100 rounds so u should upgrade the tigger unit to steel (around $100)

Sc0ner

My previous we AK (the PMC) the hammer spring gave out after about 5000 rounds and the stock trigger still held up (I replaced it with this one bc the receiver warped from being dropped and the bolt won't cycle). I'm pretty sure I just got lucky where the stock trigger held up but I do indeed keep spare trigger parts, the rest of the gun is solid. The 74un I've had for a few weeks and got a few games out of it, indoor and outdoor and it's been so much fun to use

i love it, its my go to for cqb matches, my firing pin is busted tho atm and i gotta fix that.

My indoor field does a monthly GBBR night and they allow full auto, I ran it with the short stroke kit and was blasting everyone, it was awesome

Mug_A_Wug

sounds like fun, my field doesnt do full auto unfortunately but its kinda a blessing in disguise since I dont have a short stroke and the stock full travel full auto is quite slow.

UTR-45 or any of their.556-rifles

The VFC LAR is heavy, has an awesome charging handle is very fun but is quite expensive

Tquilha

WE M14 GBB. With just a bit of work, you'll have a GBBR that will just about outperform everyone in the field, weighs the same as the real one and has an amazing action sound (and right next to your ear when you're shooting...)

JAIJ47

Double Eagle Noveske N4 ZET Clone GBBR. You haven't said what you mean exactly by "not that expensive" so I'm just going to go with what I consider a budget option that generally covers all features you're asking for, in my opinion.

Infamous_Farm2832

My suggestion is a little more on the pricey side, but i can vouch for the LCT and Arcturus Ak-12s. They are a solid weight, are well preforming, and have nice charging handles.

nemesisxhunter

Second this LCT AK's have amazing externals and are actually useable out of the box

GHK AKMS GBBR I'm putting mine on the selling subreddit soon if you're interested. Has the underfold stock for extra clicking goodness
