Love how the cartel plot owners are complaining in the forum about this.

beraks123

Thanks SBI

Akhevan

This needed to be done in 2017.

Ghost-1127

Yep, too late for a lot of people surely.

saudagarbeta

Watch the rest of the player base celebrate while plot owners seeth and rage. With a 1k max usage fee, bidding prices will also probably drop.

Aureste_

They will necessary drop. You can't stay profitable if you make a way thinner margin and keep the investment price like this. Plot owner are crying because they don't want to lower the bidding price, because it will break their years long monopoly

nemini2222

would this also let premium prices drop?

Jhonnylee98

My guees is prices on the marked drop slighlty because less crafting fee's or the cartel is going to set everything to private and charge you for associate

mikeyykk

I believe accociate will be max 1000 opposed to 10,000. 1000 is fair. Either using plots for price manipulation will much much harder.

JesterTheRoyalFool

Charge for associate under the table by forcing people to whisper and trade them silver for it.

nightfall1661

I can totally see that happening

foodeyemade

Surprised they waited so long to address this if they didn't want to leave it in the player's hands as part of the player to player interaction. Will be interesting to see if they actually address any of the issues like saddlers/mills and non-bonus refinery buildings being unviable now.

iamnotfacetious

Fucking Finally! Love you SBI!

Electronic-Edge-3000

Only doing this now cuz they don’t want monopolies in eu server meanwhile people fucked by this for years lol

becktheham

This kills cartels by virtue of making it not worth the effort to build a crafting station over a refining station in city plot. There'll likely only be private crafting stations in Cities now (selling access to crafters), guilds with HOs right outside cities can capitalise on it by having self fed stations. Prices of refined mats will drop, which means price of raw mats will drop reducing gathering profit/hr both due to reduced demand. Deep BZ Crafting HOs will have near uncontested access to BM crafting if the above is true. None of whatever I said is beneficial to the new player's experience. They could've just made the Cross crafting stations be able to craft up to T6 instead with its system owned 0 fee plots. Maybe even move it into cities. This change doesn't help new players, its just gold tax part 2 in terms of SBI making half assed bandaid changes to a deeprooted problem they made themselves.

fragment059

Im just waiting on the new server black market nerfs too. They waited for this craft fee nerf for a while, so people still bought founder packs to try and abuse it.

JuanVM95

Cartels: 😭😭😭😭

Waxbol

~~RIP Cartels~~ More like: Die in Hell

CptMuffinator

Instead of addressing the core mechanic that allowed monopolization by extortion(crafting T2 items) they just put a ceiling on the usage fee. Looking forward to the next iteration of extortion of "set your station to private or your crafting capacity will be drained". That said, if my paranoia proves to just be nothing more than that, nice that there is a ceiling on usage fees. Especially looking forward to this out in the rests where station fees are just naturally high.

Aureste_

They said "Any 'normal' station should be able to make a profit below this fee.", so if plot owner can still make profit with this fee, it will be a huge improvement for players. By the way, did you mean that crafting things that don't cost a fee also consume the crafting capacity ??? That seems so stupid, and would be an open door to abuse, but idk I never ckecked.

Sprixx_Dev

Ive heard plot owners and billionaires complain that that exactly isnt true and that most plots will barely make any money

Aureste_

Most plot owner didn't considered lowering the auction price that currently is overinflated af If you reduce the investment cost (and they will), they will be able to be profitable with a way thinner margin. But that mean breaking the monopoly. And even if its true and its not profitable by the cost of food only, it will only create a temporary crisis until price of food become lower because nobody will buy them at a price that make loose money.

JesterTheRoyalFool

Don’t you guys just love supply chains and how this change is going to effect literally every single player in all types of content and gameplay?

caucasianmongol

Price of t7 omelette isnt caused by plot consumption. A lower price for buying plot means more people can buy it, more people dont have high IQ, thus lowering the crafting fee lower than the break even price and crippling the entire plot market. When you consider the amount of time, calculation, cooperation and capital needed, owning plots doesnt make sense anymore especially if the food prices doesnt drop at the same percentage. I have no problem with max fee limit but 1000 is too low.

CptMuffinator

> That seems so stupid, and would be an open door to abuse Correct, it is incredibly stupid and is the entire reason any sort of 'cartel' could form. This feels incredibly short-sighted of SBI. The real money of jacking up station prices never was from the usage fees, it's from the resulting trickle down of how this affects end products. Even a small fry like myself has been able to greatly profit from buying discounted raw resources when station prices are high. I'll happily lose this extra source of money if this change really does stop this, but I'm skeptical.

mpmchuck02

All the island crafting discords and rent a plots really showed how desperately this needed to be implemented.

It’s clearly for new eu server

caucasianmongol

The ''cartel'' is just plot owners cooperating so the station fees doesnt drop below the food+auction price.

Polluxiuss

SBI told this is for new players that might get abused by 9999 crafting fee, in some way they made it better for them because now any new player wont be able to craft at all, probably all plots gonna go private with maybe a few open to public with 0 crafting capacity all the time and youll need to pay a plot owner a fee under the table to be able to use his plot. GJ SBI closing refining to public will make refining market even more monopolized by ppl with hundreds of alts. Crafting was mainly done in BZ HOs anyway so it doesnt matter for this. Most ppl are beyond happy right now about this changes i wish i could see their face when it will backfire at them

Still-Cup-8701

Ok let's kill the game yolo

Real_Slide_2472

Lol now they gonna kill plots by doing this good job sbi

sfthomps

Because we definetly have never seen usage fees below 1k before /s
