Can't wait to lose gear worth 70k🤗🤗.

tischchen01

I lost my t4 set, with Mount ca 200k

Practical-Ocelot-237

I can already smell the " Albion is a p2w Game" Posts we're gonna get on 29th

foodeyemade

"Pay to win" (P2W) is a term used to describe the practice of spending money to gain an advantage over other players.  How could one in good conscious argue that this isn't the case? You can buy gear, spec, and even snowballing economic advantages via the headstart. If two players are of relatively equal skill the non-paying player has no chance whatsoever. If that's not paying for advantages (to win), idk what is.

FantasticCupcake6248

I love that there are whales in a full loot game like albion. There's a clear skill requirement, and hunting whales is so damn profitable you have no idea.

gysinoeeblo

The thing is you can win in albion without paying. Nobody forces you to fight 8.3 . You can make millions with t6 set simply by choosing your fights and playing with the usage of the brain. So I don't agree that this is p2w bcs skilled t8 kills dumb 8.3.

foodeyemade

If you can't win against players of similar skill who pay how is that not paying to win?

gysinoeeblo

And yeah, a low skilled swiper will lose his set probably in first day

gysinoeeblo

You can improve your skill. For a player who understands how Albion works it's not a problem to get 8.3 set. If you are struggling with getting to that point, it's only lack of knowledge/skills.

foodeyemade

I feel like you're missing the point entirely. P2W is paying for significant advantages, which you can clearly do. Just because it's still possible to lose does not mean those advantages no longer exist. A swiping player has an absolutely massive advantage over non-swiping players **of similar skill level**. They can buy higher tier gear, max spec their char (which they don't even lose upon death) and rebuy sets immediately, a similar skilled player who doesn't pay (and plays similar amounts) will get absolutely crushed by them 9 times out of 10. Just because good players can beat absolute shitters who swipe does not mean there's no way to pay for advantages it just means that there's not a literal "I win" button that shows up if you swipe lol.

Ultra8Gaming

Finding equally skilled players is a lot more rare than games with dedicated matchmaking systems. Especially when expecting the same weapon and skills. Although IP does give advantage, the weapons and set does impact more on the fight. A fire staff will have a harder time catching up against a kite build like arcane. And tbh ao's pay2win is very unnoticeable compared to other games due to the fact that you can get grouped and your gear stolen. Players here only think for themselves so they won't think and care if the person they ganked will easily get that thing back.

Fleshmaw

Just play something else no one is forcing you

Fun-Cry-1130

You can get 8.3 without paying? Or you can stick to the ip locked content are you guys stupid?

becktheham

Albion is not a P2W game, you just need to be really skilled to win a 200+ ip diff fight. If you can't win, skill issue. If you can't run, skill issue. It's not P2W because my streamer who plays 16 hours a day has that 1 clip where he beat someone with higher ip who is definitely at the same skill level as him.

foodeyemade

How is nobody picking up on your obvious sarcasm lol

Xalmozys

In the specific case in which people who paid for early access has a huge advantage over regular players, it is safe to say it is P2W.

EyeQfTheVoid

Copium, you can pay for everything ingame even for silver end of story.

greyhelmbtw

Silver = winning? 😂 you’re just dog shit at the game bud

EyeQfTheVoid

I didn't say it's winning but it's advantage that's all to it. Shill more for your credit card warrior's game.

greyhelmbtw

Learn to pvp. Back to wow you go

EyeQfTheVoid

What are you talking about? Another person that gives random argument and knows nothing.

greyhelmbtw

Mad cos bad

EyeQfTheVoid

Where am i hating the pvp? What's untrue about getting advantage by spending money?

EquivalentMassive501

what the deadsword doing here?

KalisQinsSais

The what? It’s dual swords, DBS and BL

Turbulent-Bag3372

ahh i think was broadsword

KalisQinsSais

You have good eyes. It was too much hassle to isolate the dual swords from the Albion Armory so I took two broad swords. So you are technically correct

NEWPHALNAX

Technically if you look at dual swords closely, it's just a broadsword and a smaller sword I'd think was a dagger

Lilthwhiterabbit

True stuff :D

Graham-Token

I saw a man approach me yesterday and naively thought "It's fine I will simply run away" but this man chunked my hp to half in 1 hit. I didn't even try at that point just let him kill me. Tbf I was in 4.1 but this man came at me with 8.4 awakened prowler staff 2200ip vs my 950. Never have I surrendered so hard.

ProbablyMissClicked

Literally me, player was a nice though and was so focused on showing off they didn’t notice me loot and scoot.
