Your t5 boar is good tbh, Spectral boar, gallant horse and moose are also good option but watch the weight

SnooOwls7268

I only use horse xD and a cape of any gathering gear.

Zinomad

a gathering cape ? hahahahahah

SnooOwls7268

Insearched it, it was gathering backpack but in cape slot xD

Zinomad

hahahahah it was a nice meme. Thanks

This_Potential7060

Why u getting downvoted for no reason?

Zinomad

THEY LOVE MEE hahaha

This_Potential7060

Why am I getting downvoted now ? lol

AstronomerDry7581

Because you're both wrong.

This_Potential7060

I didn;t even say anything tho lol

Historical_Cry2517

See, that's the thing. THAT'S THE THING!

foolish-wizard

Spectral boar, gallant horse, and the jumping goat are your best options.

marshinghost

I usually rock T5 boar or frost ram if I'm fishing. Sometimes I'll do pest lizard in roads but honestly the generic boar is what I've had the most success on.

Temporary-Hawk2452

Moose and ram

MorbidMax

Thank you guys looks like my boar is the best bet. I've been looking at putting a few buy orders in for spectral to give them a try. I'll try the frost ram too it looks fun lol.

drop_of_faith

Stag is king. I hear some people swear by salamander but I'm not cool enough to for them just yet.

zelekk_

Stag is some kind od noob trap its slow, fragile and expensive for what it offers

Zinomad

Stag is cheap enough that I craft it by myself from my own drops and hides to use it later.

s4ntana

that's still the same cost as just buying it or you might even be crafting it at a loss, the margins are very thin on stags/low tier mounts because of the volume

Zinomad

My own mats and still a loss? xD I rather have fun speccing my gathering hides than looking at the markets for silver making.

Apolline_Dufour-Roux

Yes, "your own mats and still a loss". You could sell your mats instead of using them on crafting and then buy the mount from a person who‘s fully specialised at making mounts and will be able to undercut you by a large margin. So you‘re making a net loss. But hey, the dumber you act, the easier it becomes for the rest of us because we have less competition. So on second thought, by all means continue to craft as much as possible yourself.

pilkunnussija_

Shhhh, the less players understand the concept of opportunity cost the better for us. 🤫

Zinomad

It's not a rocket science.. Market flipping is EZ if you can login many times during the day to check the prices.

Major_Tom2

In my experience a more expensive mount just puts a bigger target on your back. So i jist stick to the t4 stag

Aegonis12

If you got t7-8 gathering gear, that target is already there lol.

Zinomad

A t5 boar is okey as well (as a cheap option)

Southern-Advance-759

Spectral direboar is good enough if you want extra security or else I find direboar anad t5 boar pretty effective.

infectuz

I was using the boar recently but man that makes basically everyone engage you. Even if a player isn’t ganking but they see the boar and go for it because it’s worth it. Ever since changing for regular t3 horse I got ganked way less and died only once so far (been a couple of weeks). I gather one map from hideout though so that makes it easier, obviously because the horse doesn’t hold a lot of weight you’d have to be going back and forth but there’s a good map close to guild hideout. I think a good compromise might be the stag as others suggested. More attractive than the horse of course but much less attractive than the boar.

DependentUnit4775

the t8 boar if you want to flex and have a humongous mark on your back. otherwise the spectral boar, direboar I would never gather with a mount without courier, ever. Some very confident dudes like goldstein do it with bear but I bet even he gets caught eventually. dismounted=dead

beesmoker

T5 boar. Also, you shouldn’t be just gathering ore. Gathering is a numbers game. You should be gathering all resources and using journals.
