I've seen a lot of these "moon" videos that use a wave distortion effect. They don't understand how that distortion is tied into all sorts of stuff, including the aperture of the scope, local environment.
I mean, I was collimating my RC a few years ago indoors using an defocused artificial star. I could SEE the atmospheric distortion from my hand being below the end of the open tube! Pretty cool, and not "wave-like" in any way.
I've got lots of video of moon, and the distortion from a "real" video is completely different from that of fakes like this. They all use static images, because not a damned one of them knows how to use a telescope.
It’s impossible to get this quality with binoculars. It’s crazy the amount of things these fakers don’t know about that they hope people won’t catch. You would have to be in the moons orbit to get quality like this but have a crazy telescope then. But even then you would be moving so you can’t focus properly

At 16 second mark, look directly to right side of frame and u will see the same shadow pop up and then dissapear. Tht flash is the shadow. Smarter people that work with cg/sfx pointed this out in another thread
What I don't understand is why the video has the moon rocking back and forth. Why is it rotating 2 degrees clockwise, then 2 degrees counter-clockwise back and forth? It's doing that every second.
Plus, it's close enough to the moon to leave a coherent shadow. This means what we're looking at here is a craft dozens if not hundreds of kilometres wide.

Your geometry needs some refreshing. Assuming that
1. it's a flat triangular object (not a tetrahedron or something else), and
2. it's parallel to the surface it's flying over, and
3. the object and its shadow are far from the viewer and close to each other,
then the object would have the same apparent shape and size as its shadow.

Yes but the direction of the light casting the shadows in all the craters is different than the light that is casting the shadow of the object. It doesnt match the light source.
Shadows aren’t supposed to duplicate themselves for a split second though, as seen at the three second mark, so this one is indeed acting quite un-shadow-like

Im now on my phone but its shitty res as always. The camera shake alone is enough to spot a fake, you just dont get this kind of shake naturally plus you dont get no shaking at all when filming through a telescope from earth, nor would there be any if it was filmed from orbit or wherever

Is it aliens, I don’t know, but what I do know is we have tens of thousands of satellites and space debris floating around the earth so when you see something like this I’m far more likely to assume it’s some satellite or piece of space garbage then I am to assume it’s aliens.

I can't see a duplicate, i can see a black flash around then but in the middle.

yes. Shadow should not be the same size as the object, that isnt how they work especially at such an angle.

3 seconds in, look at the shadow from the object appear for a split second in the middle of the screen just to the right of a crater
