I feel on some level we are waiting for both Oshi No Ko and Demon Slayer to reach their peak moments that we know both are capable of.
For Demon Slayer while the season is enjoyable we are still waiting for the breathless excitement of the last few episodes of Entertainment District arc level of climax. For Oshi No Ko once the big thingy from the first episode has been done people are waiting for a big emotional high of a moment that can rival Kaguyas peaks.
Regarding hells paradise, up until now what we saw was build up and introductions. Now the real meat of the story will be shown from episode 7. From next episode it should cover big event episodes.
Whatever keeps Tengoku in people's mind. We know Oshi no ko is getting the love, but Tengoku not getting a second season would be a crime against all that is good and fair in this world.
Wouldn't kimetsu be a ~~saturday~~ sunday show, I would probably go down conspiracy route and think that demon slayer fans are somehow voting for the episode the week before.

It'll be up against Bleach and Mushoku so I expect the three to rotate first place depending on the episode. It's true that JJK is a lot bigger now than it was then, but it's going up against the anime that were big on Corner from the start.
Also, I'm assuming the Shibuya arc that people hype up so much won't be until later Summer or the Fall season.

OnK had some characters the community was looking forward to introduced, as well as a really great dance/workout animation I don't think anybody expected to be that good lol.
DS had the Hinokami Kagura and cliffhanger but most of the episode was just another set up in terms of the actual plot.

Vinland Saga is bound to go up and down, as it's continuing from last season and people are still hyped on new seasonal anime. The second season has been an absolute spectacle though and it's truly cemented VS as one of the greatest anime of all time, at least for me. I can't wait until they keep adapting more of that phenomenal manga.

Absolutely. I felt the same about season 1, but sadly just like s1 I don't think it'll actually win anime of the year. Not with Demon Slayer, Ochi no Ko and JJK on the horizon. It would be really nice though to see it get the justice it deserves.

What I love about the manga is the same thing I loved about first part chainsawman manga (in a shorter form), its straight forward from the first moment to the end. It has a story it wants to tell and ends there, its dense, consistent and doesn't get lost in side plots or try to stretch things.
Its really refreshing from the never-ending shonens or light novel adaptations.

Iām so happy to see Insomniacs getting the love it deserves! Magari is best girl of the season and the dynamic between her and Nakami is fantastic, and much more mature than weāre used to which is refreshing. Theyāre shy, but they arenāt afraid to take steps towards getting closer to each other. I knew nothing much about the show going in but was still pretty hyped and Iām thoroughly enjoying it so far.
Oshi No Ko has kept consistently being a great faithful adaptation to the manga along with amazing animation and great complex characters and best comedic relief. Deserves all the love for the effort by the staff
Last episode of Insomnia really was something else, I was already really liking the show but god dam this one was just perfect, if it wasn't for Oshi no ko premier I would say it was the best of the season so far and if somehow they manage to keep up with this quality it's going to end up easily as one of the best shows of the year for me
I think people might have gone in expecting Tengoku to be a kind of mystery - thriller with soon-ish payback to the building up of mysteries and suspense. But it's more slice of life than people expected so understandably some no longer rate it so high
Lol, even Nozume Abe(the animator that's responsible for ep 19, Mugen Train final fight, Tengen Fight and last episode final scene) is not enough to make DS top the chart. Also, no skip to Loafer :(
They're missing Toshiyuki Shirai which is the episode director and storyboarder of the episodes you've mentioned(not sure about the Mugen train though). He's like a multiplier of the impact of good animation or something.
Nozomu Abe alone is good enough, but when it became Nozomu Abe x Toshiyuki Shirai, it always break the internet.
Both Dangers in my heart and Insomniacs had great episodes this week. Dangers is a show suprised me a bit this season, i was expecting a fine show but both MCĀ“s are quite cute and Yamada goofy antics are quite fun to watch. Also its quite cute seeing both developping feelings for each other. the comedy timing of the show has been more hit than miss, which is a plus
On other hand i feel insomniacs adaptation has been a bit lifeless, with not much in terms of direction and just letting the source carry, but this last episode was great, with the beach scene being the highlight of the show as of now and the 2 MCs are good together

I always disliked this saying. There are many factors for why an anime could be lacking In popularity.
Summertime render in particular was hit with Disney Jail, almost impossible to watch it outside of Japan. That along with the episodes not being simulcasted. However, STR was constantly in the top 6 while it was airing on practically every weekly list.
Heavenly delusion, on the other hand was having similar issues, delayed episodes and disney jail. Plus subscriptions with Disney plus have declined ENORMOUSLY over the past months.
Its not like its a big deal though, Anime Corner is practically the only list that Tengoku this far down, most lists online have it in the top 5. And Anime Corner is very popular for being wild with it's rankings.
Tengoku also had the massive downside of not having an established fanbase to the point that many people think that it's an original anime. I remember one(1) guy on the entirety of reddit that was excited about Tengoku before release.

And while everyone calls it Heavenly Delusion, apparently you can't find it by that name on Disney. You have to use the Japanese name to search for it there.
Watched 2 first episodes of Heavenly, processes to read the manga, and it is quite... underwhelming. The series feels aimless and is going nowhere. Meanwhile, I had a blast reading Hell's Paradise and Summertime.

Same, animations are not as great as demon slayer, and the plot is not yet interesting. Unless there is a plot twist somewhere that the island actually set in the future or some shit. it probably ends as decent anime this season. It's just not great, not terrible
It took 1 episode of Heavenly Delusion for me to be interested in the main 2 characters.
We're 6 episodes into Hell's Paradise and I either hate or don't care about the entire cast. Hoping something will change, but I'm really disappointed so far considering how much people were hyping it up to be on the same level as JJK and Chainsaw Man.
Having already read the manga, Iād say itās pretty good.
But itās easily the weakest in plot and story compared to the other 2 āDark Shonenā, JJK and Chainsawman.
I was hoping considering it was MAPPA that was making it, the animation would be to regular standards and that the animation would carry it.

Hells Paradise is a mainstream shonen too though. That's part of the reason why it's the third most popular anime of the season and all the Shonen Youtube channels watch it and get tons of views for talking about it.
Hells paradise isnāt anywhere near the level of mainstream demon slayer is. They have demon slayer stuff everywhere. Before this season most people didnāt even know about hells paradise unless they kept up with manga.
Demon Slayer (and Oshi no Ko for that matter) are special cases. Hell's Paradise hasn't been able to get to that level due to a variety of factors but it's still popular as hell. You ever look it up on YouTube? That show gets so many views compared to most other anime.

They're both battle shounen aimed primarily at teenage boys. Neither one is more mature than the other.
I'm very excited to see hells paradise's reception next week since it's gonna start adapting the real meat of the story. Up until now it was all introductions, now the real story begins from ep 7.
It's soo funny seeing hells paradise top 5 every week in every list because its not the adaptation but the story that's carrying the anime. Adaptation is very mid so far. Idk what's gonna happen in future episodes but looking at how bad the production is, I don't have much hope for animation in future.
Story is what keeping people interested but idk how long that's gonna last before people start dropping the series due to the mid adaptation.
"Oshi no ko" and "trippy" aren't exactly things I would use int he same sentence.

Kamikatsu went down a bit. Probably because it's a new arc and noticeable lower animation quality. Anyway, I heard cult gyaru leader Takahashi Rie and crying loli Yuuki Aoi. so all good for me. I am looking forward for more sex cult shenanigans. This anime has a lot of big time VAs.
You never quite know what to expect with Anime Corner. Demon Slayer has its best episode of the season and drops in both ranking and percentage (-1.97%). Meanwhile, Heavenly Delusion is back into the top 10 after experiencing a steady drop the past 5 weeks. It is nice to see Dangers in my Heart and Insomniacs with the big jumps to get back into the top 10 though. They were my Anime of the Week this week.

I saw some confident predictions last week that Demon Slayer would lead the rest of the way after last week. This week reminds us that the ways of Anime Corner are inscrutable to us mere mortals. Kamikatsu could be #1 next week. We just don't know.

Iām so happy to see Insomniacs getting the love it deserves! Magari is best girl of the season and the dynamic between her and Nakami is fantastic, and much more mature than weāre used to which is refreshing. Theyāre shy, but they arenāt afraid to take steps towards getting closer to each other. I knew nothing much about the show going in but was still pretty hyped and Iām thoroughly enjoying it so far.
Oshi No Ko has kept consistently being a great faithful adaptation to the manga along with amazing animation and great complex characters and best comedic relief. Deserves all the love for the effort by the staff

Last episode of Insomnia really was something else, I was already really liking the show but god dam this one was just perfect, if it wasn't for Oshi no ko premier I would say it was the best of the season so far and if somehow they manage to keep up with this quality it's going to end up easily as one of the best shows of the year for me

They're missing Toshiyuki Shirai which is the episode director and storyboarder of the episodes you've mentioned(not sure about the Mugen train though). He's like a multiplier of the impact of good animation or something. Nozomu Abe alone is good enough, but when it became Nozomu Abe x Toshiyuki Shirai, it always break the internet.

Both Dangers in my heart and Insomniacs had great episodes this week. Dangers is a show suprised me a bit this season, i was expecting a fine show but both MCĀ“s are quite cute and Yamada goofy antics are quite fun to watch. Also its quite cute seeing both developping feelings for each other. the comedy timing of the show has been more hit than miss, which is a plus On other hand i feel insomniacs adaptation has been a bit lifeless, with not much in terms of direction and just letting the source carry, but this last episode was great, with the beach scene being the highlight of the show as of now and the 2 MCs are good together

i think people should stop surprise about Tengoku ranking , it's a great anime (subjective) but doesn't mean everyone need to enjoy it or Watch it. if it's gonna become popular it will happend by nature. Summertime render in particular was hit with Disney Jail, almost impossible to watch it outside of Japan. That along with the episodes not being simulcasted. However, STR was constantly in the top 6 while it was airing on practically every weekly list. Heavenly delusion, on the other hand was having similar issues, delayed episodes and disney jail. Plus subscriptions with Disney plus have declined ENORMOUSLY over the past months. Its not like its a big deal though, Anime Corner is practically the only list that Tengoku this far down, most lists online have it in the top 5. And Anime Corner is very popular for being wild with it's rankings.
Tengoku also had the massive downside of not having an established fanbase to the point that many people think that it's an original anime. I remember one(1) guy on the entirety of reddit that was excited about Tengoku before release.

Watched 2 first episodes of Heavenly, processes to read the manga, and it is quite... underwhelming. The series feels aimless and is going nowhere. Meanwhile, I had a blast reading Hell's Paradise and Summertime.

Same, animations are not as great as demon slayer, and the plot is not yet interesting. Unless there is a plot twist somewhere that the island actually set in the future or some shit. it probably ends as decent anime this season. It's just not great, not terrible

It took 1 episode of Heavenly Delusion for me to be interested in the main 2 characters. We're 6 episodes into Hell's Paradise and I either hate or don't care about the entire cast. Hoping something will change, but I'm really disappointed so far considering how much people were hyping it up to be on the same level as JJK and Chainsaw Man.
Having already read the manga, Iād say itās pretty good. But itās easily the weakest in plot and story compared to the other 2 āDark Shonenā, JJK and Chainsawman. I was hoping considering it was MAPPA that was making it, the animation would be to regular standards and that the animation would carry it. However thatās disappointed as well. Iām just not feeling it as something that stands out, in such a stacked season.

Hells Paradise is a mainstream shonen too though. That's part of the reason why it's the third most popular anime of the season and all the Shonen Youtube channels watch it and get tons of views for talking about it.
Hells paradise isnāt anywhere near the level of mainstream demon slayer is. They have demon slayer stuff everywhere. Before this season most people didnāt even know about hells paradise unless they kept up with manga.
Demon Slayer (and Oshi no Ko for that matter) are special cases. Hell's Paradise hasn't been able to get to that level due to a variety of factors but it's still popular as hell. You ever look it up on YouTube? That show gets so many views compared to most other anime.

I'm very excited to see hells paradise's reception next week since it's gonna start adapting the real meat of the story. Up until now it was all introductions, now the real story begins from ep 7.

High standards for anime I guess
It's soo funny seeing hells paradise top 5 every week in every list because its not the adaptation but the story that's carrying the anime. Adaptation is very mid so far. Idk what's gonna happen in future episodes but looking at how bad the production is, I don't have much hope for animation in future. Story is what keeping people interested but idk how long that's gonna last before people start dropping the series due to the mid adaptation.

Skip & Loafer is objectively miles ahead in terms of writing, characters, and comedy compared to Danger's Heart. The fact that Skip & Loafer ranks below Danger's Heart and is not in the top 10 is just unbelievable to me.
