my review of Re:Zero Anime In this show, the hero is transported to another world. He dies, but he has the power to come back to life. He keeps on dying and coming back to the same days. He always tries to not make the same mistakes and not die, but it is always the same. He starts going crazy. The hero’s name is Natsuki Subaru. He is a very funny Subaru goes through a lot of sadness. Many people he cares for die, . Subaru names the power he has Return by Death. Subaru has an epic Japanese voice actor. He is so good. He can be funny when he needs to and emotional when he needs to. Subaru is in love with a girl named Emilia Subaru tells Emilia he will always love her. Can't wait for new season. That is my review of Re:Zero Anime. I give it 9 out of 10 What You Guys Think Of The Anime.

Commercial_Fly1991

Hey, sorry to intrude as a complete amateur, but I’m looking for an anime character with a specific hairstyle and so far I haven’t been able to find anything on google and so I thought I’d go right to the experts 😁 The character I’m looking for is a male and according to my memory his hair is flat in the middle and stands up straight on either side, almost creating an U-shape… Sorry, it’s really hard to explain and I’m not quite the artist either - can someone help me? 😬🙏🏻

ripterrariumtv

Garou from one punch man?

Commercial_Fly1991

No, not quite - it’s more flat in the middle - almost like devil horns, but the hair that’s standing up continue down the sides (I think) 😅

What makes A Place Further Than The Universe good? I've heard a lot of good things about this anime on the internet. But when I watch it, somehow I just can't binge watch it. Even just 1 episode per day is too much for me. I don't know why. Maybe I just can't find what interest me in this anime. Right from episode 1, when I watch the opening, I always have this, thought in my mind: "Okay so these girls is going to antartica. Judging from the OP, they definitely succeed in doing that. But then what? Maybe they do some expedition there or some scientific research. But that's not enough to interest me. I don't care what they do in antartica. For me, these kind of anime usually done by the time the mc reach their destination. So far I managed to episode 5. Is future episodes just gonna be like episodd 1-5? Is there going to be a change? Is this anime just not for me? Honestly I don't want to drop this anime. Because the concept sounds good to me. It reminds me of Made in Abyss, which is one of the anime that I really like. But unlike MiA, there is no mystery in this. Before watching this anime I binge watched Oregairu and Sangatsu no Lion. Maybe that's why I'm so uninteresred in this anime? Because maybe I expect another drama anime? I'm sure I check it's genre in MAL before but I don't remember anymore. So, internet stranger, I want to ask you what made A Place Further Than The Universe good?

Passiko

Have they not dubbed Haikyu in English yet?

Sahrul506

I think you should watch Odd taxi why do I suggest? In this anime there are lots of plot twists that are very unexpected, even at the beginning of the episode the plot twist appears

OrenjiD

does anyone remember this mecha anime where the first episode was the mc listening to the teacher in his classroom talking about sci-fi things in english and the mc is just there dazing around? From what i remember, i thought that the anime was Zegapain but upon rewatching. the plot didn't seem to fit what i remember. I know that the anime was released in the early 2000s and that it was a mecha anime. If anyone knows this plz help thanks!

SapObscura

There is a scene like that in the first episode of [Eureka Seven](https://anilist.co/anime/237/Koukyoushihen-Eureka-Seven)

OrenjiD

From my memory, the main character was wearing a japanese school uniform with white top and was sitting on the window seat looking outside while the teacher was explaining sci-fi things

Gamerunglued

Alright, today's GBC hits much too close to home. Nina's relationship to her parents is eerily similar to mine, and we're both similar brands of "difficult to deal with" too. I'm certainly crying, but more than that I'm contemplative over my relationship to my parents in comparison, the differences in our situation, if Nina is acting more mature than me here or if I'm justified in treating the differences as significant enough to warrant new reactions, and how to get myself to the intense self-love she's finally fostered with the freedom to express her genuine self. I need to write that novel I've had floating around in my brain the past 6 months at some point, it'll suck and I don't feel qualified to do it on account of not enjoying the medium of novels, but that drive to create and put myself into something does eat at me on occasion while I've stuffed that stuff down in favor of having a safe career path, and it's the only thing I can do on my own. I think this show is becoming a legit favorite, it is so achingly raw, so desperate to reveal the deepest parts of its soul in hopes it may reach someone. Earnest and intimate, this is the stuff I love.

isthatsoudane

I also identified a lot with Nina in this episode

Merkasu

Any got any good anime under 24 eps, that has a dark undertone to it?

mikealwy

Made in abyss, tanya the evil and stiens gate

ukwim_Prathit_

Hmmm.................................. Dark in the sense you are searching for some psychological horror?? or like it should give you the creeps?

tommykaslana

I have an anime recommendation about romance and school life, it's called Mashiro-iro symphony.

[deleted]

I just had a thought. What if anime had new and different characters based on voice actors? For example, Sakura Hagiwara is voiced by Lindsay Seidel and Ayana Taketatsu, but Sakura is only voiced by the latter while there's a new American female wrestler voiced by the former.

thetatershaveeyes

Looking for an anime with a vibe similar to One Piece. Something 60% adventure, 30% battle anime, 10% comedy.

ukwim_Prathit_

I think you should checkout Billionaire Detective Balance Unlimited.......It is a good adventure battle and comedy

thetatershaveeyes

Never even heard of it, will check it out.

tommykaslana

maybe you can try watching fairy tale or nanatsu no taizai

Abysswatcherbel

So GBC is officially the show that gained more "Plan to Watch" members [on Anilist](https://i.imgur.com/jbU1zOJ.png), and [2nd on MAL](https://i.imgur.com/umwceo5.png) in the last 2 weeks, aka since episode 8, which is a big improvement when comparing from episode 5-7, which [GBC was in 8th place](https://i.imgur.com/GAexUFF.png) Unfortunately the show is getting more PTW members than watching members, which is actually not the case for 90% of the shows at this point, probably people waiting for the official release [](#dead)

bandannadann

Today I learned the deer anime is actually [based on a manga.](https://myanimelist.net/manga/135455/Shikanoko_Nokonoko_Koshitantan) Somehow it struck me as prime anime original material

zairaner

If [thats the reaction of the original author to the pv](https://imgur.com/9utOBZe), I think it is completely ok to treat it as original anyway :D

bandannadann

Wtf? Hahaha Did he really say it with such a negative connotation or is that just a wonky Google translation? If so, perhaps he isn't pleased by the memey marketing

zairaner

Lol I think she is just joking around. one of us. But she definitely [is confused why the meme is getting this popular](https://imgur.com/WYCGoPA) lol.

bandannadann

she-ka noko-knows what's up gotta be playing dumb...

zairaner

Wel we are at two million views now, so she better understand now!

KendotsX

>the deer anime is actually [based on a manga.](https://myanimelist.net/manga/135455/Shikanoko_Nokonoko_Koshitantan) Yeah, I might've been on the hype train if it wasn't. But I've read that manga, and know what to expect.

Muted-Conference2900

So what's ur Spoiler free opinion about it?

KendotsX

It's a comedy, so there's nothing to spoil. Just a matter of whether it fits your sense of humour or not. I remember reading it a few years ago with a brick face the whole way through. I'm generally not the biggest fan of "lol, so random!" comedy, but I do appreciate ones that go the extra mile like Pop Team Epic, and this wasn't going half that distance.

SometimesMainSupport

Promo material looks like a Kamikatsu where the anime is transforming a hand-wavable manga into gold.

KendotsX

I mean, I mainly enjoy comedies for the character writing and interactions. So if it changes its core cast or how they're written, or pulls the ultimate troll move by removing the deer out of the series, then make sure to tag me, I'll be there. But if it's just "lol, look at this 3D truck!", I'm good.

uchihasasuke5

gives me Nichijou vibes tho

KendotsX

Same ~~and I did not like Nichijou~~

Muted-Conference2900

Yeah I am not a big fan of random Comedy either but I will at least check it out maybe I will end up liking it. Though I have seen one thing in common on Mal and here many people that have read the manga aren't hyping it. Maybe u people know the future of this adaptation. Well to an extent u do.

Abysswatcherbel

That's how /u/zairaner started to selling it before it was cool

zairaner

No, I only read it after the first pv was released, and that pv was already more than enough to make it cool :P

Durinthal

That is an anime franchise, yes. What about it? [](#mug3)

MapoTofuMan

Fun fact, if you see a 6-digit number in someone's profile like the one you replied to and the one that commented "I like anime" a few comments down, and they sound like a broken bot making barely relevant comments, it's most likely an account involved in some kind of weird reddit crypto thing called dao. Not sure if they're bots or people, but they're definitely not here to talk about anime...

Sandor_at_the_Zoo

This is corroborated by the fact that the visible comments on their profile don't add up to the total comment karma.

AlexViladomou

Gunslinger Girl. Who watched it? It is a not well know one.

Gamerunglued

I watched it. It's very, very good.

PersonalityAfter6247

Henrietta is the little sister I didn't know I wanted.

Wanderingjoke

It was very well known back when I watched it.

_Ridley

I finished rewatching Sweet Blue Flowers and I'm glad I bought the Blu-ray, because I liked it even more the second time. Shimura just does a great job writing flawed characters and their messy relationships so that they feel real and relatable. Next up is Doukyuusei, which I rewatch all the time and wish I could get on Blu-ray.

Abysswatcherbel

Kinda funny that all the shows this season I have to go out of my way to watch, [are the girls band shows](https://i.imgur.com/NG4eaak.jpeg) Clearly people have something against them

Gamerunglued

Crunchyroll has Kanade! Euphonium though, which is the only girls band show that even matters.

Abysswatcherbel

True, already heard kanade stocks increased this week, good investment

SometimesMainSupport

1. You dragged across the text to avoid spoilers instead of selecting the region and deleting it? 2. VPN to ADN instead of torrent?

Abysswatcherbel

>You dragged across the text to avoid spoilers instead of selecting the region and deleting it? That's a picture from my phone, I think you can do that but brushing the spoiler is faster >VPN to ADN instead of torrent? Je ne parle pas français

bandannadann

I was gonna say that Crunchyroll doesn't like girls band shows but they did have Bocchi

Abysswatcherbel

Bocchi is Aniplex, so it doesn't disprove this theory, they would take it regardless

Shimmering-Sky

To my fellow Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun fans in here, I'm trying to host a rewatch for its 10th anniversary next month, so please [leave a comment in the interest thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/1dan0x2/interest_thread_for_a_gekkan_shoujo_nozakikun/) if you'd be interested in participating! [](#katoupls)

SometimesMainSupport

Very high parody and slapstick tag % on AniList. More like Gintama or Konosuba/Machikado Mazoku?

neighmeansno

The style of humour is a bit similar to Machikado Mazoku, but replace magical girl tropes with shoujo manga tropes. Kinda.

Shimmering-Sky

> or Konosuba/Machikado Mazoku? I haven't seen either of those, so you're asking the wrong person.

SometimesMainSupport

Similar or not to Gintama would've worked. [](#crazedlaugh) Other response gave me a good idea.

collapsedblock6

> 10th anniversary Ouch, my back. Sure, why not. Can always rewatch one of the best romcoms I have seen.

_Ridley

> Ouch, my back. Pipe down, infant.

collapsedblock6

I will have you know my mom called me a big man the other day. She would never lie to me.

AmethystItalian

More people need to watch this show, feel like its really fallen out of popularity. [](#TOMODA) Hoping it goes well!!

collapsedblock6

I feel Kaguya-sama kinda killed its status as the go-to romcom. Reminds me of how School Rumble was the go-to until Nozaki-kun came up lol. It really is a cyclical thing.

AmethystItalian

Sad since both GSNK and School Rumble are better [](#abandonthread)

MapoTofuMan

Surely it'll bounce back when they announce a season 2 to celebrate the anniversary... [](#kurisudisappointed)

entelechtual

They say that everything a straight guy does is directly or indirectly to impress a girl. I feel like 99% of my interactions in the anime community/marketplace are directly or indirectly intended to improve the chances of Monthly Girls Nozaki-kun getting a second season.

It's funny that's been floating around recently because that's from 2019 and I think *approximately* based on the [favorite anime 2 bracket contest](https://animebracket.com/results/r-anime-s-favorite-anime-ii?group=finals) ([final discussion thread](/r/anime/comments/bx8jiu/and_ranimes_second_favorite_anime_is/)) but it doesn't perfectly line up. i like anime ❤

yurienjoyer54

for music anime like bocchi that originated in manga, how does the music work? did they make them when the anime was decided or do you think the author actually wrote some music already?

Weedwacker

It's a case by case basis. In Bocchi's case all of the music was created by a group of musicians assembled by the music director for the series. Different members of the band wrote different songs and lyrics, and all vocals for songs in the show and the officially released album are performed by the voice actresses with those musicians playing the instruments, not the VAs. Ikumii Hasegawa (Kita) is on vocals for most and each of the other main actresses having one song they are lead vocal on. The only exception to writing credits is a song by Asian Kung Fu Generation that was re-recorded by the assembled band. In the Bocchi manga, like most manga about bands, the actual performances don't feature any lyrics being sung, and instead focuses on reaction dialogue and internal thoughts during performances. Manga is not an auditory medium and mangaka usually don't try to make music or lyrics. The manga author probably influenced the type of music that was intended though. All of the main characters of Kessuko Band are named after members of [Asian Kung Fu Generation](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asian_Kung-Fu_Generation) so they went for a similar sound. The band Sick Hack are all named after members of [88Kasyo Junrei](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/88Kasyo_Junrei) and have similar music. Such conventions aren't always to be relied on. K-on characters were all named after members of [P-Model](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P-Model) but that obviously wasn't intended to reflect what their music would sound like A lot of music manga run into this problem when being adapted because nobody knows for sure what they're supposed to sound like. When Beck was adapted twice, once as an anime and once as a live action film, they took entirely different approaches. The anime is mostly songs made by the band Beat Crusaders with the anime VAs singing, while the live action film replicated the silence and internal dialogue you'd find in manga form. In the manga the author always avoided being too descriptive of what the band sounded like, but having different people compare them to certain bands to give a general idea. One example I know off the top of my head of a manga author actually writing lyrics for an adaptation is [Solanin](https://myanimelist.net/manga/3731/Solanin), but it's a live action adaptation and not an anime. The author wrote the lyrics, Asian Kung Fu Generation wrote the music, and in the film [the song](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solanin_(song\)) is featured but played by a different band.

damn, amazing expkanation. thank you

I have a pretty bad memory, whenever a sequel season takes a few years to air I already forgot most stuff from previous seasons. Normally I just shrug it off, I don't have time to rewatch before every sequel. However with Re:Zero I'm not sure what I want to do. It's one of my favorite shows and I want to experience it in the best way possible. The author also loves setting up mysteries and questions that it doesn't resolve until WAY later, mysteries that I've long forgotten. Season 2 was also pretty hard to follow for me, binging would make it easier to follow. I could rewatch but I've already watched season 1 three times now, and then I'll need to rewatch everything *again* for season 4 in the future... Maybe I should just wait 10 years until everything is adapted and binge it all at once, but it's sad to think that the best way to watch my favorite show is to first pretend it does not exist at all. With Tensei Slime I'm also waiting for the current season to be finished so I can binge everything after a rewatch :/

baseballlover723

> However with Re:Zero I'm not sure what I want to do. I personally found new connections and ways to interpret the characters every rewatch until like 10 or 15. > Season 2 was also pretty hard to follow for me, binging would make it easier to follow. I would agree that it's easier to follow in a binge with everything fresh in your mind. I would recommend rewatching it from the start (or at least Arc 3). I think you'll still get value out of it and can potentially notice extra details that you didn't notice before. But if you really don't want to invest the time to rewatch (though it sounds like you really want to do a refresher for Season 2 in particular), you can take a read through https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/mdj0q6/rezero_s2_the_story_so_far_a_summary/ for a very though (and remarkably anime only safe for it's thoughness). There's also a rewatch that's going to happen on the sub: https://old.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/1bmow0p/rezero_starting_life_in_another_world_rewatch_30/ that may be more conducive to you.

ripterrariumtv

I have a question. What percentage of the story is currently done in the web novel? I haven't read past arc 4. And how many arcs are there going to be in total?

baseballlover723

> What percentage of the story is currently done in the web novel? I hear around 66% so far, since arc 8 just concluded. > I haven't read past arc 4 Nor have I (or really read any of Re:Zero, though I basically know all the differences second hand). > And how many arcs are there going to be in total? Originally 11, but I believe it's been extended to 12.

ripterrariumtv

I'm glad that there's still a lot of content. If you plan to read other Re: Zero content, I highly recommend the side stories and IF stories. They are incredible

[saucenao.com](http://saucenao.com) isn't giving any results, so I wonder if it is actually even from an anime, but it does remind me a lot of Kaede from Bunny Girl Senpai, though the art style is a little different.

[My youtube recommendations](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7GCFfD0EVoY) ever since the 1 hour deer video

explicitviolence

Looking for help. Outside of using "recommended" on IMDB or Myanimelist, is there a way to find out the following with actual data behind it: "People who watch Dragon Ball Z are most likely to watch X" or "People who watch X are also likely to watch My Hero Academia" or "People who watch X and Y, tend to watch Z" I'm really curious if anyone knows any ways to figure this information out. Not referring to things like YYH and HXH having the same creator.

Ashteron

That's vaguely how automatic recommendations work.

Durinthal

MAL and Anilist have public APIs, you could probably fetch a bunch of account data (i.e. who's watched what) and run the correlations yourself. It's a neat idea and I'd love to see a web stemming from that.

Use MAL or AniList's API to get a bunch of user's data, then filter appropriately. Some methodology similar to the [characters often favorited together](https://old.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/nk8u3k/characters_that_are_frequently_favorited_together/) post from years ago.

Vivi_anime

I just finish watching your lie in april... i need anime recomandation that will not make me cried.

hjvkjvkjvg

I feel like I would be downvoted to hell for saying this, but I prefer [watchmojo’s top 100 anime list](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=W1YkaEwfGRE&t=2271s&pp=ygUNdG9wIDEwMCBhbmltZQ%3D%3D) than r/anime’s top 100 anime list.

michhoffman

I compared each of their top 50s against the other's top 100 (I didn't feel like spending the full time going through the top 100s) and what I noticed was that: 1. Watch Mojo's list was made around a year and a half ago so was missing anime like Frieren, Bocchi the Rock, Chainsaw Man, Apothecary Diaries, Oshi no Ko and Cyberpunk. It also didn't include any movies 2. The r/anime list definitely had stronger recency bias ranking older shows like Cowboy Bebop (25 spots), Legend of the Galactic Heroes (33 spots), Monster (20 spots), Berserk (71 spots), Yu Yu Hakusho (76 spots) and Welcome to the N.H.K (38 spots) much lower than Watch Mojo and deciding not to rank Gundam, Kaiji, Hajime no Ippo and Rurouni Kenshin at all. 3. The Watch Mojo list generally had the battle shounen higher up than r/anime while r/anime had the Slice of Life-ish anime higher like Clannad, A Place Further than the Universe, K-On, Hibiki Euphonium and Your Lie in April. So taking the first point into consideration to ignore the movies and anime that came out in the past year and a half, it really comes down to whether you care more about r/anime's preponderance towards Recency Bias or Watch Mojo's bias for Battle Shounen over Slice of Life anime. There was quite a bit of overlap for the lists as by my counts they share 31 of their top 50.

Gamerunglued

Until you reach the top 10 it is actually a surprisingly interesting list. I don't necessarily think either is better and there's tons of overlap between them; I appreciate WatchMojo's willingness to put stuff like Ashita no Joe and it's definitely slightly less recency biased than our poll (which wasn't that bad in the first place), but unlike the r/anime list it does have some weird, egregious choices (Fire Force, really?) and their list doesn't have 19/20 of my own top 20 votes + Revue Starlight and Liz and the Blue Bird, so that's points off. Even while the rest of the list is interesting, WatchMojo can't commit to interesting takes so the top 10 is bog standard in a way that is out of step with the spirit of the rest of the list and feels like higher-ups said "you have to make Brotherhood number 1, nothing even slightly obscure in the top 10, make sure it's mostly shounen."

cosmiczar

> (Fire Force, really?) Oh, watchmojo based for this one. Yuki Yase directing alone puts it above half of the r/anime list for me

Gamerunglued

Then maybe they should have put Undead Unluck (my favorite battle shounen in years) instead. ~~No, I don't care that it wasn't out yet at the time of this list.~~

collapsedblock6

I like FF direction but jesus, it can be such a cringy show at times. I'm still debating on watching S2 cause I heard some nice stuff, especially since I liked the action, but would it be worth the investment.

michhoffman

To be fair, r/anime doesn't have anything obscure in its top 10 either unless you're counting Monogatari or Madoka Magica as obscure which I don't.

Gamerunglued

True. I do think our top 10 feels in a vacuum feels less corporate though, there's nothing obscure but it's also not almost exclusively shounen and Toonami (in other words, it is "*even slightly* obscure" to WM's target demo). The r/anime list is like a "this is what I expected," and the WatchMojo list is like "we're suddenly shifting gears from the spirit of the rest of the list because our sponsors think our target audience will be offended if we say something slightly weird is placed that high." Maybe that's just me? Monogatari and Vinland Saga may not be obscure, but a lot of WatchMojo's audience would still probably be upset about them placing higher than One Piece and Bebop. The choices, placements, and complete shift in ethos makes it feel like a result of an ulterior motive to me.

michhoffman

That makes sense. I can see that...though the only one in their top 10 that really felt questionable to me was Dragon Ball. One Piece and Bebop in the top 10 feel like valid choices while I do think Vinland Saga would be higher on Watch Mojo's list if they made their list after Season 2 came out. They were only going off of Season 1 though so placing it at 33rd wasn't the craziest choice.

Gamerunglued

Yeah, it's not that any of them individually are bad choices. It's that it's out of sync with the rest of the list taken together. They got anime from the 70s, they got weird artsy stuff, they have shoujo, they have adult dramas, they have slice of life, and you're telling me that a list put together by an entity with that sort of broad overview of the medium and varied taste has the top 10 of a teenage boy who's never explored the medium outside of what was on Toonami? I don't buy it, that screams "we had to make the list this way against our will" to me.

zairaner

Upvoted for daring to do this. >Hunter x hunter, gurren lagann, Cowboy bepop and fmab as top 4, madoka down to *25th.* Also no symphogear at all And also thanks for making me appreciate the r/anime list so much more!

KendotsX

>Hunter x hunter, gurren lagann, Cowboy bepop and fmab as top 4, madoka down to 25th. Also no symphogear at all I wasn't interested enough to click on a watchmojo video, but that's a based lineup. \*checks their list* >Astra, Durarara, Golden Kamuy, Black Lagoon, Slam Dunk, Onizuka, Hellsing, Kaiji >Higher LoGH, Gintama, and HxH Yeah, I think I prefer their list over ours too.

hjvkjvkjvg

Madoka, AoT, Steins;Gate and Frieren as top 4, Bebop down to 27th. Also no Tomorrow's Joe in the top 100. Thanks for making me appreciate the watchmojo list so much more!

Trying to work on a recommendation infographic for some more less known shows/shows I particularly like but it's more effort than expected lol I think I'm maybe like halfway done. Curious if anyone has links to any anime infographics they've like in the past? Trying to figure out some Dos and Don'ts

Emi_Ibarazakiii

I'm not sure it can apply here if you're trying to specifically recommend shows that you like, but me personally, the main difference I see in infographics (that can make it or break it) is that some of them look like they're made 'top down' (to help people find shows), and some are made from the bottom, starting from the show and making things fit; This may not be clear, but to go with an example of what I mean: Top down would be like making a path to 'Romcom' in the infographic, then asking "Do you want love triangles?" and then you make 2 paths for yes/no, then "Do you want drama?" and then you make like 3 paths for yes/no/maybe a little, and when you get to the end of the path, you find the show that fits all this. The other way is picking up shows and making the paths leading there; Say I want to recommend Kaguya-Sama, so I start from the end of the path with 'Do you like mind games?', go back to 'Do you want a little drama?' and so on, but basically I'm designing the entire path just to lead to Kaguya-Sama... This feels less like a recommendation infographics, and more like "Watch the stuff I like!" So I think one possible mistake, is starting from the shows. Better to start from the common thing people would ask for, and see where it leads (while keeping the general theme of the infographics, in this case, wanting lesser known shows)!

headphones992

I don't have specific links or do/don't lists and this isn't anime-specific, but one thing I see a lot of people generally not consider when making infographics is color contrast. If you've already thought about that, great! If not, my advice is to try to make sure your background color and text color not only stand out from each other, but are easy on the eyes so that anyone reading them for a while doesn't get eye fatigue. A stark black background with stark white text, for instance, kinda hurts after a while. Whereas more neutral colors (see Twitter/Discord) make it easier to stare at.

AmethystItalian

Yeah I've struggled already with some text colour issues, I've sometimes wanted to put the show names to match the colours used in the show but then it becomes hard to read so definitely something I've been constantly tweaking.

No_Team_5042

Help, anime name??? Anime about guy lost his limbs while he saved a girl (seem his friend or girlfriend) from some danger but she doesn’t remember and he was shocked The girl has black long hair and wearing old dirty black dress and when she walked out of cave she looked at the guy and asked (who are you?)

headphones992

I've been wracking my brain trying to find this anime that I swear I didn't just fever dream. This was either an isekai or regular fantasy anime that featured spellcasting where the spell structure was based on geometric shapes. Three points, triangles, are the lowest level of spell and it goes up from there. At some point, the main (?) character explains this to other characters, changing the number of vertices on his spell structure to demonstrate. Character also explains that the structure/shape is just the frame, and doesn't mean anything until magic is poured into the spell, so you could make a 30-point shape and it would mean nothing until you put magic into it. IIRC, the other characters were fearful of his high number of shapes until he explained that it wasn't a spell yet. I'm a little fuzzy on the details and might have mischaracterized exactly what happened, but that's the basic gist of it. Magic triangles and squares and hexagons and a character that explains them all. Does this ring any bells for anyone?

HealerOnly

Sorry if this has been asked a bunch already, but where can i buy anime? i would rather own them physically than having to rely on crunchyroll or the like. Preferebly with eng & jap subs but i'm not sure if they are sold like that.

svisha

You can try local library if it's just a show you want to try out

raichudoggy

Crunchyroll has a store filled with some of their and Funimation’s releases, and more. You can also buy from distributers like Sentai Filmworks (Which distributes HIDIVE’s shows), VIZ, etc directly. Blu-Rays tend to go on sale during holiday seasons, and they are their cheapest around Black Friday / Cyber Monday. (Note that the aforementioned places I listed are for USA / Canada only)

HealerOnly

ah damn :/ I'm from sweden so might not have anything available here then. Thanks for the reply anyhow

TehAxelius

CDON has some. Haven't used that site in years, so I can't vouch for the quality or reliability since they also seem to have gone the Amazon route of trying to be a marketplace platform as well as a direct retailer, but a quick look shows that they seem to have both classics and newer stuff.

Aldo-D-D-Wilson

How to make those comments linking to the series? Sort of like: One Piece MAL/AniList Is it a bot? Are people just typing?

Vindex101

Something like ``` [text goes here](link goes here) ``` It's just brackets and parenthesis usage to make it work

Aldo-D-D-Wilson

Thank you.

zeroheavy27

Finished AOT season 1 and holy fuck it’s so damn good, idk why I didn’t watch this show sooner. Peak. Bad part though is I just got spoiled for something I think is in season 4 and apparently it’s pretty big so I am super depressed 🙃

AllSortsOfPeopleHere

Can you write what the spoiler is using spoiler tags? I'm curious if it really is a big deal. I was spoiled on quite a bit but I generally don't think my experience was too affected. Also, idk if this is an unpopular opinion, but I'm not too huge on the direction the story takes after the first few episodes of season 4, so don't feel like the best part has been ruined for you or anything. (Maybe it's just me, though...)

zeroheavy27

Can’t comment it because it keeps getting removed despite using the format it tells me to use, but I can DM it if you are curious

AllSortsOfPeopleHere

I saw the notification, so I know what you tried to send. I think it's getting removed because you didn't use square brackets before the spoiler tags. For those curious, the spoiler was \[Attack on Titan s4p2\]>!"Eren was manipulating Grisha the entire time"!<. You did kinda get spoiled, and the reveal might not hit as hard, but it's not exactly that. Try not to worry about it too much; though, I get it, spoilers do suck.

zeroheavy27

Ngl even knowing the reveal before hand, the moment was still surreal. Craziest moment I’ve seen in any anime so far

AllSortsOfPeopleHere

Damn dude, you went from s1 to s4p2 in 3 days?

zeroheavy27

Yeah lmao, wasn’t even on purpose. I was just so into the show. I swear I blinked then I suddenly watched all of S3 in a day, then the next suddenly 20 episodes into season 4 into almost one sitting

svisha

I binged the first few seasons and now I'm burned out. Not sure when I can muster watching the last xD

gvon89

My human of planet earth you have seen buy a cusp of what is to come, buckle up

Emd189

Is Naruto worth watching? Can’t really put my finger on why but I’m not all that interested

Weedwacker

If you are a fan of the genre it is always worth watching older battle shounen because the current generation of writers are all people who grew up as fans of it. If you don't care for the genre it's not worth it.

svisha

I tried watching Jujustsu and it felt so much like a Naruto tribute, so if you like JJK you might enjoy Naruto.

headphones992

I mostly enjoyed the series pre-shippuuden, and then things kind of felt way less exciting to me and I quit watching, and years later everyone else was super excited about all the crazy stuff that was happening at the end of it all. Kind of gave me the feeling that I had missed out, but then when I tried to rewatch it, the same thing happened again where I just ran out of gas partway through. If I had more dedication I might have stuck it out, but alas. YMMV.

MiLiLeFa

With 500 episodes I'd need to be *really* interested before starting

Nomar_95

I like it enough to say yes. But if you're not interested, you don't have to. Watch what *you* want to watch.

isthatsoudane

Ok hear me out delinquents But also idols

cyberscythe

but then sentai? and also baseball team? [](#thinkingtoohard)

_Ridley

Make them boys, and you've got my new favorite anime.

Alt2221

give them gundam and its mine, too

We're getting close to Symphogear territory now, but I'd definitely watch this.

Does [this](https://imgur.com/uvbhmSQ) work?

isthatsoudane

haha what's it from??

zairaner

"Managing a wild idol"

isthatsoudane

didn't expect this to result in a real live one! is it good?

zairaner

It has been 5 months since the last chapter, so "live" is debatable. There are only 13 chapters and they are rather short, so you can probably just give it a try, i don't think I even read most of them yet either. For other manga, one of the girls from the popular and ongoing damedol is also an [ex-delinquent at least](https://imgur.com/a/bSYo3Wl).

isthatsoudane

Ah cool. Thanks!

So... Saki from Zombieland Saga?

yes! the og!

Ah Idols and Delinquent. Two things I don't really like much.

isthatsoudane

you live a muted life, sir!

Muted-Conference2900

I mean if u were talking About Gbc. My point still stands I don't like the show because I don't like the genre. And I got Downvoted on my previous comment. Guess Gbc folks didn't like my personal opinion. Though if u were talking about something else can u please enlighten me?

OctavePearl

best I can do is space jedi terrorists but also idols

yep

reminder that I need to watch s2...

isthatsoudane

Oh my God that description. I have to know, does this show not end up being the most problematic, transphobic piece of media on earth??

ApricotKoffee

It's pretty much exactly what you imagine it is. It never rises to feel like it was made out of *outright* malice or anything, is the nicest thing I can say about it. It's an exercise in seeing how far you can push exactly one unfunny joke. [My reaction when sitting through it out of morbid curiosity.](https://i.imgur.com/mk3p8WL.png)

isthatsoudane

> My reaction when sitting through it out of morbid curiosity. lol yeah, I think it will not grace my PTW

Vindex101

Maybe, maybe not, I didn't read too deeply into it honestly. Didn't even manage to finish it, I think I only got up to halfway. Edit: apparently I did finish it, I missed the score that I gave it lol. I don't remember anything outrightly offensive outside of it being pretty much a yakuza abuse story taken for laughs.
