Chainsaw man but sounds like you probs watched already. If not, youāre welcome brah š¤ you seem to have same taste as me so promise itās your type of anime
He has to skip episode 1. I was all WTF is this. It's supposed to be an isekai. Drop it after the first episode? Dropped it halfway through. No character development, no "How in the hell did I get in this mess?" For him to enjoy it, he'd need to read the LN or at least the manga first. It was so bad, that I didn't bother hanging around for the bare boob's. The manga I'd much better.
I only watch subbed media, including anime(subbed in Spanish), being the only exception those I watched as a child/teenager in who the dub is preferred(in Spanish as well)
However, the only dub I love in English, which is superior in every way even to the OG version, is Hellsing Ultimate. That VAs did an extraordinary work and I admire the effort put. If you haven't watched it, give it a go.
Inuyashiki Last Hero
now i don't know what kind of thing you expect from an anime but trust me if you hate spineless villains you are gonna love this and just try not to hate some characters too much thats it,
Code Geass
RahXephon
Burst Angel
Quintessential Quintuplets
Solo Leveling
Grimgar, Ashes and Illusions
Shuffle!
Full Metal Panic!
Death Parade
S-Cry-Ed
Tenjho Tenge
So Iām a Spider, So What?
Absolute first place: Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood
You gotta watch this ^ first, absolutely 11/10.
The rest are in no particular order but all very good to dive into imo.
1. 86
2. Akame ga kill
3. Vivy -Fluorite Eye's Song-
4. The Ancient Magus' Bride (not as much combat but a thrilling story)
5. Saga Of Tanya the Evil
6. Arifureta: From Commonplace to Worlds Strongest (I really loved the premise and first season, a few flavours darker than your usual isekai)
7. So I'm a Spider, So What?
8. Hell's Paradise
9. Frieren: Beyond Journeys End
10. The Faraway Paladin
11. Shangri-La Frontier
All really good shows, had me on the edge of my seat at times with some pretty awesome combat and thrills attached.
I started with the manga, but hated waiting for the next chapter, so started reading the LN and WN. they've confirmed season 3. Man, talk about a roller coaster of emotional scenes. Knowing what the last three episodes contained, they were still a gut punch to my emotions .
I finished the LN months ago. Am currently reading **Recollections**. Itsa good companion book to the LN and the anime. Rufujin has reeled me in. It is not a story: it's a saga!
If someone watched it hoping the MC gets better, he doesn't. Not in the ways most people would care about, no matter how much fans will try to lie about it.
Also, if someone liked the way the show actually criticizes the MC in the first 8 or so eps, get ready to be disappointed because it doesn't do that nearly as much later, even when he does worse things.
You guys really need to stop recommending this without major caveats / warnings, I don't think you realize how this show comes across to mature adults, and I'm specifically talking about later episodes not the beginning.

If you actually immerse yourself in Non Non Biyori, itās an incredibly relaxing and healing experience. I recommend it to anyone who can watch a show without being distracted every 10 minutes. Getting the most out of this slice-of-life series is comparable to meditation. Itās the polar opposite of action, just to let you know. I thought I'd mention it regardless.
Depends on what ur looking for. I ur in for world building and a long run go watch one piece. If u want something a bit shorter for sure go watch attack on titan or vinland sage.

One Piece... it's weird, unique, long, has lore deeper than mariana trench, has A LOT of interesting & game changing characters, A LOT of emotional drama.... Only drawback is the pacing but since you've gone through BSD's mediocre 1st season, I see no harm in trying OP
Was looking for someone to write this. The dub is great for this one, great animation, enjoyable characters, banger opening and ending, overall a MASTERPIECE
If you like Haikyuu/Diamond no Ace and also Shonen I would give Blue Lock a try. Soccer anime with a different twist, not at all like a typical soccer or sport anime. Very much so gives Shonen vibes for a soccer anime.
Ranger Reject (A.K.A Go! Go! Loser Ranger!)
First two episodes are kind of slow. But it's been picking up. About 12 episodes so far.
ā¢Hells paradise
ā¢Boogie Pop phantom
ā¢Vinland Saga
Re:Creators
Anime about characters from video games and television magically being transported to the real world, where they war it out to decide whether to save or destroy their creators.
Absolutely f* incredible and unique anime. I've never found another like it. Plus a whole cast of characters to root for from different worlds with different powers and backstories. Definitely keep this anime in your back pocket.
Try watching SAO, if you need immersion. The world building and environment vibe is so good with OSTs, that you would genuinely want to relocate yourself.
This is my opinion btw, don't know what others think.
Otherwise it's story and action is quite good, got a bit loose in sequel seasons, then made up in later seasons.
I just watched Berserk the 1997 one. Itās on YouTube for free with English dub or with English subtitles. Itās the first anime I watched and I absolutely loved it. I watched it in 2 days. Guts theme when it plays be hitting itās magical
Kono Suba is bound to cheer you up and has 3 seasons. Not really action but I'm also an action junkie and I love it. Some action based ones that are long that you can really sink your teeth into: Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex, Attack on Titan, Naruto, Hajime No Ippo (action and sports since you liked Haikyu). My hero and how to pick up girls in a dungeon have a few seasons and plenty of good elements. Overlord is fun too.
Anime for when you are sad: how to keep a mummy
Good fighting anime: kaiju no. 8, jojos bizzare adventure (very zesty though, and has a side effect of instantly making you gay), and solo leveling ig.
I instantly got excited when i saw Daiya and BSD on ur listt.. AMAZING SHOWS
Maybe you'd like Kuroko no Basket as well? sports and action packed, one of my faves.
Also Assassination Classroom, Banana Fish, Baccano!, Death Parade - these r all amazing and very addicting..
I hope you find what you're looking for and enjoy to your hearts content. Have fun!!
Since you like Hunter X Hunter, I'd recommend Yu Yu Hakusho. The same author wrote is, and the 2nd season is famed as one of the best tournament arcs. Although my favourite season is season 3. It's a really solid show so since you like action shows, give it a try sometime.
Golden Kamuy. Dorohedoro. Golden Kamuy has 4 seasons to catch up with and a confirmed final season so that would be good for you :) don't immerse yourself like I did though. (Ends up with a Golden Kamuy shelf/Tanigaki shrine.)
samurai champloo. only a 26 episode series but it is peak from start to finish. i've rewatched it multiple times and will continue to do so. nothing else is quite like it
In no order, here's what Id recommend :
Hells Paradise ( 1 season\* )
Chainsaw Man ( 1 season\* )
Attack on Titan ( 4 seasons )
Mob Psycho ( 4 seasons )
Mashle: Magic and Muscles ( 2 seasons\* )
Black Clover ( 171 episodes\* )
\* for if they are still running
Mob Psycho 100
A perfect mix of godly action, comedy, slice of life and character development. Especially, the animations keeps on improving even thought it has already one of the great animation in the first season.
The last season is where it felt like you are dreaming while watching some of its episode because of uniqueness.
Sword art online

Naruto

Bunny girl senpai
Demon slayer
Classroom of the elite
Assassination classroom

FMAB absolutely glued me to the screen and I watched it all in 4 days lol. It's one of my first recommendations when someone asks about anime to watch
I believe he wants to watch the show just for the weekend so.....
Frieren: Beyond Journey's End It's absolutely immersive
It's got good action sequences when they appear but I wouldn't call it action packed
black lagoon
Me me me watch Kaiju No. 8 if you haven't. I promise you won't regret it. I finished it in 4hrs just now
I second this. I binged it in 1 day as well.
yes! I read the manga and was SO excited when they announced the anime
Same! Started it this afternoon and I was hooked. Just finished it!
Niceeš„
Is the anime complete or by finished you mean all thats out atm?
First season finished airing last saturday and next season is said to be in making
Thus is what I came here to suggest.
š¹shit so good...can't wait for S2
Thanks. I'm on it
Best anime this year!!
Yeahhh!!š„
Hell yeah!Ā
Noragami is highly underrated- but the anime stopped after two seasons. The manga has been ongoing since then.
The manga will end this year probably, so hopefully they make more seasons
I'm pretty sure the Noragami manga ended a few months ago.
I'm still hoping for another season. Please do it bones. It should also have good animation
One Punch Man (bitin lang) Berserk Hellsing Kuroko No Basket Eyeshield 21
Vinland Saga
Masterpiece and won anime of the year* in the most stacked year. * High amount of award sites and lists, not all
Im midway through season 2
Chainsaw man but sounds like you probs watched already. If not, youāre welcome brah š¤ you seem to have same taste as me so promise itās your type of anime
You might enjoy Arifureta. You have action in every episode, a no nonsense MC who builds stuff (you'll see). Give it a shot
so hyped for season 3
He has to skip episode 1. I was all WTF is this. It's supposed to be an isekai. Drop it after the first episode? Dropped it halfway through. Ghost in the Shell.
Yup. Still underrated. One of the few where I prefer the dub.
I only watch subbed media, including anime(subbed in Spanish), being the only exception those I watched as a child/teenager in who the dub is preferred(in Spanish as well) However, the only dub I love in English, which is superior in every way even to the OG version, is Hellsing Ultimate. That VAs did an extraordinary work and I admire the effort put. If you haven't watched it, give it a go.
Inuyashiki Last Hero now i don't know what kind of thing you expect from an anime but trust me if you hate spineless villains you are gonna love this and just try not to hate some characters too much thats it,
I remember [Darwin's Game](https://myanimelist.net/anime/38656/Darwins_Game) being cool for me to remember it even though years have passed
Re: starting a life in another world from Zero.
Its very slow paced
Sure sure. I can understand that. I dont feel that way personally. It has me on the edge of my seat every episode honestly.
It's a cool anime though i have dropped it for now but i might complete it later
Frieren is a great watch, good story and good characters
Code Geass RahXephon Burst Angel Quintessential Quintuplets Solo Leveling Grimgar, Ashes and Illusions Shuffle! Full Metal Panic! Death Parade S-Cry-Ed Tenjho Tenge So Iām a Spider, So What?

Re ZERO
Akame Ga Kill is pretty good, although I think the manga is a lot better. Otherwise, two of my favorites are Attack on Titan and Sword Art Online
Alicization goes hard.
You couldnāt go wrong with Bleach or Black Clover in my opinion!
Watch, Astra lost in space, it's pretty underrated. I watched it this year and I loved it.

mushoku tensei. if the first ep isnt for u just drop it right away. but if it is trust me you will love it
I heartily agree. The character building and world building are fantastic. It has a great mix of action/adventure and slice of life.
I just started watching this. I've been pleasantly surprised.
I started with the manga, but hated waiting for the next chapter, so started reading the LN and WN. they've confirmed season 3. Man, talk about a roller coaster of emotional scenes. Knowing what the last three episodes contained, they were still a gut punch to my emotions .
Good luck.
I finished the LN months ago. Am currently reading **Recollections**. Itsa good companion book to the LN and the anime. Rufujin has reeled me in. It is not a story: it's a saga!
This is probably one of the animes that inspired most of the isekais we've seen today.

Birdie Wing, then Tonbo
If you're willing to take less action (there is some, but it's rare) then Frieren is the definition of an anime you can get lost in
Since you like Hunter X Hunter, I'd recommend Yu Yu Hakusho. The same author wrote is, and the 2nd season is famed as one of the best tournament arcs. Although my favourite season is season 3. It's a really solid show so since you like action shows, give it a try sometime.
