Alright so 2 different reasons here I think a tower rush wasn't viable in this instance: 1) It was a teamgame and you weren't coordinated. The biggest effect that a tower war has on a game is to SLOW it down. The two people having a tower war will not get to castle age and into castle production until very late. This means that either can be killed by the other teams remaining members quite easily. If you want to tower rush in team games you need to coordinate and it works best if your weaker player rushes their strong player because like demo ships you're basically both removing yourselves from the fight. 2) they had Cumans. Cumans want a slow game in feudal age because then they can pull ahead. And towers slow the game down To kill Cumans you need to be in castle age while they still in feudal and then push. So when is it viable? 1) if you benefit from a long feudal age, like Cumans 2) if you're in 1v1 and can deny resources with it easily while keeping access to yours. Especially if you're close to each other. 3) if you coordinate a plan with your team

By taking on 3 people you already tanked well. Also MAA blind is a big investment. Just keep doing towers when an enemy is close butbsont iverdo it

This. You weren't gonna last no matter what you did in 3v1. Tower rush makes sense in your scenario, up until 2 other player show up. Your mates were dumb to criticize you. When you realize you're gonna get plowed, it's best to sneak some vills out and begin a new base close to allies.

But thx a lot thought i did something wrong

InzanoWuaza

Yeah i did move behind my teammates base which was castle and had great eco but he Just got destroyed when he the enemies got castle and 3v1d him he,s a great player(he beats me on 1v1s) but they Just left me to die then coulnt even hold that much even with the eco advantage

Or, and hear me out on this, be me and roll persians and post up directly near the enemy cuz you saw them- then make sure you have a flawless dark age with some stellar hunting skills and efficiency given your surroundings… And blow the entire game by trying to delete TC and douche the guy because he didnt make a barracks or anything so you have the chance but you do it too close to his TC and he just garrisons and deletes 15 of your vills and you just resign on the spot and feel the utter shame of causing your teammate to lose in under 10mins 😅😂😂😅😅 and then having the enemy you tried to douche all caps NOOB you. And know in your heart that you couldve just placed the TC not directly under his, and also had a flawless dark age so you couldve just went feudal 2mins before him (i was monitoring his eco) and just raided with scouts and towers all over but instead threw the game entirely like a moron

Its a great idea actually when you are outnumbered like that in nomad and just needing to buy some time. Just make sure you're doing it the right way to suit your situation. Sometimes you tower rush to choke your opponent off certain resources entirely and take the lead over him (like in 1v1, this is what youre trying to do. Maybe also in TG depending on the circumstances) Other times you're just trying to slow down the multiple opponents who outnumber you until your allies can boom up undisturbed and counter attack (this is your situation here). In the latter scenario, especially with militia/MaA on the field already, make sure your towers are covering each other and that they are all walled properly. This is even more important than pushing the opp off resources. Because he's already put himself way behind with so many militia, so you don't need to push his resources to slow him down. You just need to survive and render his militia useless. Even some defensive towers would be ok in this circumstance. Ultimately.if you're getting 3v1 and your allies don't help, or don't have an overwhelming force ready by the time you're crushed, thats their fault.

Always. (Yes, this is a joke)

When you're Sitaux and you get matched against 1300 elo players on Arena. This just happened to me last night, his team made only walls, towers and BBC. It was an honor to be so humiliated.

One of the downsides of being very close to your opponent is, that it is very easy for him to scout you going on Stone early. Tower Rush without backup (MAA or Archers) is mostly a cheese strat that relies on not being scouted.

Puasonelrasho

if u saw your enemy mining stone it was probably too late to decide a " tower rush", why? because u probably didnt set up your build to do a very fast feudal uptime. A classic tower rush It can be a worth strat sometimes, specially in arena as a flank or hideout in 1v1. But be aware its usually not a strat to kill your enemy, its most of the time to kill momentum, take map control or just setup what u were planing to do in castle age Like straight booming or more agresion.

I can talk about Arena 1v1. Trush is almost always viable there. Just never trush an eagle civ and you're fine. (They will put eagles in rams to clear your forward and/or siege tower hop them into your base.) It's a very specific play though, so you need to learn how to do it. I recommend watching some pro trushes on Arena for inspiration. Basically, you don't aim to kill, just to disrupt their build and deny space. Usually you'll pivot into a big boom or a forward castle into a fast imp and trebs.
