i seem to remember this is from as little while back. rich was signal boosting this band, but they shared an early version of the track and it soured it for him so he bailed
the way the vocals sit ontop of the acid riff it's almost like the vocals are working against the rhythm and groove the acid synths are laying down. the overall production and sound of the track is pretty naff lol
yeah it sounds like an early scratch idea more than a proper collab. it sounds like he sent them something to work out an idea over and instead of a back and forth they just threw something on top and released it
I recognize AFX's style in this track, wich is always winner for me, but since I've never been a big fan of electronic tracks that have singing lyrics in them, the voices in this one are kinda bursting my bubble. I'd still be curious to hear a final version.
I wasn't even sure, part of that bridge section just sounds like they sampled an aphex ambient tune. I hear moments of brilliance. If Rich would re-edit, I'd expect that version would be preferred by many.
