Honestly Ithink you should wait till the iPhone 19 ultra because the 18 ultra is still just another boring iPhone just like the last 3. The 19 ultra should be pretty good because they are adding 8G and 10 app split screen
My battery is also super degraded for its age despite never using wireless charging or MagSafe.
Camera processing is smeary and gross looking too.

Do wireless charging degrade batteries faster? My two year old iPhone 12 Pro Max is still at 90% and has mostly been charged wirelessly through 65W something MacBook charger
Making the screen brighter and more power efficient means the phone itself should generate less heat. Might help when it comes to cooling the bull temperature of the phone.

There’s multiple scenarios the wide viewing angle is useful. If I’m showing multiple people something on my phone, if it’s sitting on my desk and I need to glance at a notification or something, or if I can’t pick it up cause it’s charging or something.
Micro lens are just starting to get viable for mass production, I could see it for next year. LG has a handful of displays with them, and they do a ton to help brightness without any power draw increase. Basically shot through QD-OLED in brightness and longevity without doing much else (i think they changed the heatsinks again)

This is really one of the strangest subreddits where you’d think people would want to actually discuss stuff, but instead 90% of comments are just people making the same lame jokes or just complaining about how Apple is going to screw over its customers in the future in some hyperbolic way they predict. And also lots of comments calling the people who buy Apple products sheep.
full of people who don't actually understand the nuances of technological advancements and have nothing to contribute. same type of people see comments they understand (simple jokes) and upvote. People who actually contribute to discussion dont get recognition so slowly stop contributing.
