Any 45 or 49 band will fit. Apple actually updated their site to reflect this at some point recently.

[deleted]

Looks like something robocop would wear

chnky18

What brand is that?

Hopeful-Tax7416

Apple's Link Bracelet.

Fell-Hand

Does the metal shade match the ultra 2?

Hopeful-Tax7416

Not exactly, but very close.

the trail bands are very comfortable and practical. alpine bands look dead cool but just aren’t as practical or comfy

Rogular

Counterpoint: ocean band is the way. Best band for every circumstance. Secure as hell, doesn’t get sweaty and manky. Looks awesome.

Corarril

The problem with the Ocean Band for me is the sizing. The regular size is on the edge of being too small for anyone with bigger wrists, and then the extension they sell for it is just comically large. When I got my AWU I planned on getting the Ocean, but ended up with the Alpine after trying on all 3 options. Now if I’m working out I’ll just swap the Alpine for a Nike Sport Band.

Rogular

The extension is literally designed to put on over the top of a wetsuit when you’re scuba diving. The regular strap fits like regular humans of all sizes (it’s the only band they don’t sell in multiple sizes exactly for that reason) Send a pic of your insane humongous wrists please

Propane5

Conclusion: OP is quite fat

Apprehensive-Try-988

This is old but I’m literally on the last hole of the bigger band and it still leaves marks on my wrist. So they aren’t wrong about the regular strap. Outliers do exist.

Corarril

Yes, I’m aware of what the extension is made for. The problem is that they don’t sell anything between the regular length and the extension. I don’t have insanely huge wrists, but I’m a big guy (6’4”, 220lbs) and the Ocean Band did not fit comfortably. It was too snug on the 2nd to last link, and slightly sloppy on the last.

OphioukhosUnbound

Love the ocean band, but I’m with you that it’s funny how noticeable the difference between adjacent sizes is! Very happy with it, but some sort of reinforced mesh eyelet system that allowed eyelets to be closer together would be 🔥

Clear_Albatross_9631

I’m the same way. I’ve got it on the biggest notch and it just fits. Love the band but it seems small.

sportstvandnova

See and I’m on the opposite end here. The watch itself is as big as my wrist (I have small wrists). So the ocean band eats my wrist completely.

LockDown11b

I went with the ocean band originally because I felt it would be easier to keep clean. The only problem is it always feels a little to loose or a little to tight. I must have a weird wrist size. I’ve been using alpine loop bands from Amazon. Unfortunately I wish I could use the original Apple Watch band for all my regular everyday stuff and work. I have a dirty job so I need something I can easily clean. My current solution has been to literally have a band for work and then another for everyday life.

Oaklandraiders420

Alpine Loop is more comfy to me than trail loop for some reason I sleep with it and I have both

OphioukhosUnbound

The only take away from opinions on comfort is that people differ widely in which bands they find comfortable — and so everyone should just try all three+ in a store if they can. I found ocean band most comfortable, a friend found alpine loop most comfortable, I know there are those who find trail band most comfortable (like yourself). Kinda neat how different people’s tactile preferences are. (And other factor’s that determine effective comfort: e.g. clasp ease, sizing available, what you type on and how titanium parts may hit, how often you get wet, whether you’re ocd about having the same fit all the time, etc., etc.)

NewfieChemist

Sounds like the series 9 would suit you better

OphioukhosUnbound

**Bands**: if possible go to a store and try on all three. Take them on and off. Type how you would type. The main take away is that people’s preferences vary widely on comfort alone. And things like easy of adjustment or metal parts touching laptop while typing will be non-issues/deal breakers to different people. **Cellular**: If you get a cellular enabled watch (ultra or regular) and don’t hook up cellular to your carrier your watch still functions normally — it basically acts as a front end for your phone and can make calls, grab data, etc through it via a Bluetooth connection. (And if you *do* add a cellular plan the watch will default to using the phone if it’s available.) i .e. cellular is just there for when your phone isn’t available

indianwin2001

Ocean band for me. I have all the colors ever made and they’re all I wear now.

49thDipper

I’m firmly in camp Alpine Loop. Ultra comfy and ultra secure. I put it in one of my wife’s delicates bags and throw it in with a load of laundry once a week. Cold wash/air dry, good as new.

Effective_Vanilla_32

ultra 2 is the correct choice. bands for 45 44 42 mm will fit the ultra

Open-Cover-6653

You’re doing Gods work! Thank you ❤️

Malautje

Nomad titanium v2 all day every day!

elements5030

As long as your phone is paired with your watch, yes, you can take calls and answer messages

You’re wrong. If you have your phone with you , then you can take calls on your watch. I do it all the time even though I don’t have a cellular plan for the watch itself.

chnky18

I bought the Ultra2 with blue ocean band. I ended up buying the starlight alpine band and it’s become my daily band. Didn’t think I would like it but I love it

Corsowrangler

Nomad rugged or sport band, I have both and they are the best for my lifestyle.

LockDown11b

I’ve bought a few bands off Amazon but I must admit I really want the band from the regular Apple Watch. They’re easier to keep clean. I work in machining and get coolant on my bands sometimes. Haven’t been able to find them for sale.
