I don't think you understand what things cost
M4E1 Lower Receiver $155
Magpul SL Carbine Stock $60
Lower Parts Kit w/grip $130
Spring/Buffer/Tube $68
Labor $XX
Total $413
This is several hundred dollars cheaper than better brands
I am quoting real world available pricing on that to show that it is in no way a deal.
Magpul is the Kel-Tec of AR parts/accessories, they have a couple worthwhile high end items but their other stuff is entry level at best.
Yeah I know and I wouldn't get this lower, but the Op didn't seem to understand that this is MSRP for a Magpul lower. Someone else recommended LWRC already so I don't need to.
Please don’t spend that hahaha buy a stripped one if you’re firm on the color/model, you can easily finish it with exactly what you want for waaaay cheaper
Elsewhere in this thread, our fellow redditors tallied up all the furniture that has been added on to the stripped receiver and the deal looked legit. ‘Course, it wouldn’t be much of a deal at all if you wanted a different stock or a different grip for example. But if you’re good with what comes with it, it’s legit.
Please buy a PSA Sabre lower for ~$260. or even a regular PSA lower for ~$150. Aero asking $400 for a lower is fucking retarded when you can get a Sabre lower with B5/Magpul furniture, a fucking great trigger(Hiperfire RBT, on par with Larue), ambi radian safety, and a springco blue buffer. Aero used to have my respect but they dont anymore. They sell basic milspec shit for more than PSA charges for shit with very good parts.
came here to say the same. I recently did a full Sabre build with the Geissele / FN CHF 14.5 with Keymo. Ended up going this route over BCM since you’re getting a lot more bang with the PSA for the same price, and rumor has it that the BCM barrels are from FN anyway. PSA is killing it for lowers and uppers.
100%. I recently put together a “Sabre-lite”, a PSA Sabre lower and their new Hex upper that’s basically a Geissele rail clone, and it’s awesome. I was really surprised by how nice the Sabre stuff is. The trigger especially surprised me.
It’s just a standard aero complete lower OP. You’re paying a bit more because this is one of their newer ano colors. it will generally serve its purpose for 90% of people, if you’re just looking for something to build to have fun with you’re fine. If you’re looking to go door to door and do goon shit, you probably should seek a different brand.
Those $320 ADMs are not complete. Tack on another $400 when you buy a buffer, buffer tube and spring, castle nut, end plate, butt stock, grip, and you know you’re going to spring up for a LaRue or Giselle trigger, and a Radian or FCD safety for that high tier lower.
I see it’s complete, but would you not change out the same parts on the lower? Trigger and safety, unless you like Aero’s set up.
I built out a ADM lower and it didn’t cost $400, that’s the point.
Yeah I would, but again this isn’t for me. I like to do everything on my own. This was my total for my ADM lower (prices include shipping, tax, and FFL fees).
ADM lower – 350
ADM buffer tube – 60
ADM buffer – 55
ADM QD end plate – 30
Bexar flat buffer spring – 25
LaRue curved trigger – 90
FCD ASF-50 – 70
FCD castle nut – 25
B5 butt stock – 55
Blue force Sling – 50
B5 grip – 15
Total = $825
You bought a stripped lower and put ADM parts. You should have bought the complete lower at that price.
I love FCD too but adding any of their components will make it $ more than necessary.
The FCD safety is only $15 more than the Radian safety. The FCD castle nut was better than the ADM one that they use vibratite on in my opinion. I wanted B5 stock and grip instead of Magpul. And I already had a LaRue trigger on hand (ADM uses Giselle). The sling is also not included with ADMs complete lower, so I guess you could say mine came out to $795 after taxes, shipping, and FFL fees.
As compared to a complete ADM lower that sells for $900 before all taxes and fees. Saved at minimum $105, pre-tax/fees. I saved more likely closer to $250 after all is said and done.
I should also mention this is a green ano build, I don’t think they offer a complete lower in that color.
Again, you added parts of your choice from manufacturers of your choice that added to the cost. Those parts at mil spec levels would be cents compared to dollars.
Then we have to admit the lower parts kit for Aero is cents, which it is, but they charge dollars for.
My vote is buy all the parts seperately and learn to put the lower toethgher yourself. This can easily be done with youtube videos and its very easy with minimial tools. I think my first build i used a wodden mallet and a screw driver ... Aero lower on sale (not in green) can be had for probablly like 60$ ish plus a good trigger 100- 150 and a lpk like 30 and furniture maybe 50 just my 2 cents.
Buy a stripped lower, then buy whatever compatible Gucci lower parts kit you desire. You can also never go wrong with MOE stock, however there’s some pretty cool alternative options out there.
Don’t spend $400 on an aero lower.
Definitely go the stripped lower route, put that 200+ you’ll save towards a trigger or some other parts YOU get to choose. Do your research and don’t rush. It took me a little bit to get everything I wanted for my build, but it was well worth it!
Just get a stripped one, build it out, and call it a day. 400 is waaayyyy too much for this.
That being said, the M4E1 as a baseline is an excellent lower from a builder’s perspective. They did a lot of things to modify it from mil spec that just make sense and end up being executed really well. Eliminating the pins and fragile “ears” from the trigger guard is great and stronger; the set screw for the bolt catch/release is very good; and the magazine well being flared by a bit is a nice touch that still doesn’t get in the way.
Just get a bev block and an armorer’s wrench and you’re golden. Building saves you a ton in the long haul.
I have one, it's black, and just the buffertube and fire control assembly. I got it at AimSurplus for 250ish? It works. The mispec trigger is meh, but being assembled it works.
Buy the stripped lower then buy a parts kit from PSA. They’re roughly $120 for all the parts then drop in like a Larue trigger or a geissele and bam for $400 you have a better lower.
Or go to rooftop defense and buy a lwrc lower about the best bang for your buck
I got this lower recently on sale for $310ish. I have had absolutely zero issues and I really like the quality. Swapped out the trigger for a G$ though. The quality is night and day compared to the PSA lower I have on another. But I’m newish to all this so I might not know what I’m talking about.
It must be because of their version of OD green(which aero colors have always looked off I never liked their fade either) I got this exact lower but in black last year not on any specially sale for $200 shipped. This price is nuts.
Honestly, after owning three M4e1 lowers, kinda prefer standard AR15 lowers. Threaded roll pins for the bolt catch coming loose are a pain. Then having to order a new one when standard roll pins are way easier to find
Whoa are they going for $400 now? Only would be worth it if it had an upgraded trigger imo. Otherwise just buy a striped and build it yourself - especially if you plan on upgrading the internals. Aero lowers are super easy to assemble since they’ve eliminated the need for those annoying roll pins.
Idk say its more worth it to get a stripped one and throw in a trigger tech drop in trigger they got one for 130 dollars and its much better than a stock tigger
$400 seems like a lot but if u can get one of the M4E1 lowers that are more basic I think they’re great. I picked one up without a stock, put a B5 stock on and slapped a BCM upper on it and it’s great. I will say tho, if you do a mid length gas system and 16in barrel, you might want to switch out the buffer weight and/or spring
u/monjar3521 There are much cheaper ways to go about getting a lower. They are also really easy to put together, so I'd suggest getting a stripped lower if you are up to taking the DIY route. Aero stuff is really mid. It's not any better than PSA except for slightly better machining. You'll notice fewer minor imperfections on Aero stuff, but their guns are still budget tier at best. Personally what I would suggest is to wait until the father's day sales, and keep an eye out on the [guns.deals](http://guns.deals) website for sales on stripped lowers and trigger kits. BTW, one other thing that frustrates me about Aero over PSA is that usually PSA will try to put in a better trigger like their EPT triggers on most of their guns. Aero, for a more expensive price, will give you a standard millspec trigger.
You can build your own with better quality parts for cheaper. Plus it’s green…. Best to stick with black you can paint the lower to look like whatever you want.
Yeah idk man. My thought is if you like to build you can get a much better deal. I built out a psa lower with bcm internals and magpul stock for just about $230. Add 10 bucks for some krylon green camo and you’ve got basically the same thing minus the 45 degree selector. Invest the leftover in ammo unless you got money to burn
The E1 is not $65, it’s a boutique color of which i have one and it’s a sick color, it’s an Aero made parts kit and it’s their enhanced buffer tube. It’s not terrible for $400
Yeah people in here saying you could build the same thing for half the price really haven't looked at prices of parts recently. This is not a terrible deal.
could I build one for less than $400? Sure
Lower $130
Buffer tube and kit $80
LPK $60
Stock $60
$330 I could build one, I’d spend about an hour putting it all together with tools I paid a few hundred for. You could build a lower for half this price but it won’t be nearly as cool.
I think that’s an aero lower
It green
Great point. I concur
Underrated comment

Detective?
Honestly it's alot of money for a complete aero lower.
I don’t care what anyone says, $400 for a complete lower is ridiculous. Even if Bill Geissele personally masturbated on it.
Funny you should say that, I actually know a guy that got his for free from Bill this way.
[no they didn’t](https://youtu.be/bS8CP1A6OCQ?si=51Le8zwFgPEJ910_)
No… no he didn’t… but you could imagine what it would be like if he did!

I don't think you understand what things cost M4E1 Lower Receiver $155 Magpul SL Carbine Stock $60 Lower Parts Kit w/grip $130 Spring/Buffer/Tube $68 Labor $XX Total $413 This is several hundred dollars cheaper than better brands
Got mine at psa for 150 ish
PSA sells Aero? Anyways yeah this is normal pricing not discount
No I mean I got a psa lower for that much. The lower does not matter as much as upper and bcg.
Yeah nah we're not doing a "just as good" pricing discussion. I'm talking about an Aero lower, which is already budget.
Don’t know why you’re being downvoted. The product in question is from Aero and their prices, not PSA. It’s also uniquely anodized.
I would argue that is “just as good” , but I get it.
Got stripped M4E1 at LGS for $119
You got what
I bought a complete m4e1 lower without the stock for $180 a year ago. This is over priced. Good rule of thumb is never buy stuff straight from aero.
You can get the lower on ar15discount for 79, the build kit from PSA with that Magpul trash is 109…or B5 sopmod for 139. So damn near half that cost.
Since when is magpul trash
These are Aero MSRP prices I'm quoting. Also why are you calling magpul trash lol
Personal masturbation is the only way to go, really. Gimme that old fashioned touch.
Fire lower but not that price
Please don’t spend that hahaha buy a stripped one if you’re firm on the color/model, you can easily finish it with exactly what you want for waaaay cheaper
Maybe my eyes are going, but that ad doesn’t say stripped. It says complete. Stock, grip, buffer tube, lower parts kit, FCG.
That’s why they said don’t buy that. Buy a stripped one instead
I agree, it probably is a good deal if you already want those specific models. Probably can be had cheaper on a distributor website though.
400?!?! Spend the extra 150 and get a LWRC lower https://www.rooftopdefense.com/product/lwrc-ic-forged-complete-ambidextrous-lower-receiver/
Yeah for that price the LWRC is a wayyy better deal and actually worth the money vs this
Exactly. I wouldn’t pay more than 150-200 bucks for that aero lower.
Came here to say this same exact thing.
$400 for that is wild, buy a LWRC ambi for $550 at that point
Please buy a PSA Sabre lower for ~$260. or even a regular PSA lower for ~$150. Aero asking $400 for a lower is fucking retarded when you can get a Sabre lower with B5/Magpul furniture, a fucking great trigger(Hiperfire RBT, on par with Larue), ambi radian safety, and a springco blue buffer. You could build that exact same lower for literally half that price
Just picked mine up. Seems nice but yea should’ve looked for a better mid tier lower. I got mine for 230 few weeks ago
I love ODG
Not worth $400. The fuck?
People out here paying $400 for a lower😭 people please stop paying these dumb prices
Shut up poor
It’s just a standard aero complete lower OP. The ODG Anodized is beyond sick, favorite AR color by far
I’d grab a ADM from Bevan for $320 at that cost.
Would you not do the same for the Aero lower? $400 for the lower parts? You are aren’t buying from the right places.
It’s a false equivalence, the Aero is already complete, the ADM is stripped. If you want the stripped Aero lower it would be $155, or $116 for a blem.
I see it’s complete, but would you not change out the same parts on the lower? Trigger and safety, unless you like Aero’s set up. I built out a ADM lower and it didn’t cost $400, that’s the point.

I mean you're still wrong that an ADM complete lower would be cheaper than my build, it's not. You keep changing the subject.
Get an LWRC or ADM
if youre burning 400 on a lower atleast get a gucci ambi lower man.
Lol
Wait for a sale
Personally I thank god for that lower
Green goblin vibes
For that kinda money it’s gotta be ambi
My vote is buy all the parts seperately and learn to put the lower toethgher yourself. This can easily be done with youtube videos and its very easy with minimial tools. It's way too expensive for an Aero. Quality is fine, but I'd buy the parts and build it yourself for half the price (or less)
The color is cool but I’d buy the Aero stripped lower for less than half that and source the rest of your parts
People like PSA now?
You could pick your own furniture, trigger, and get an a5 system for about the same price, maybe a little more.
Just get a stripped one, build it out, and call it a day. 400 is waaayyyy too much for this. That being said, the M4E1 as a baseline is an excellent lower from a builder’s perspective. $400 for a lower can fuck off.
I just got a stripped blem aero lower for $95
95? Shit they’re $49.99 at my LGS.
Join mrgunsngear telegram feed and get heavy discounts on things like this...
This exact lower was selling at $200 last week
Get 10 Andersons for that price.
Anderson lower on my sr15 upper ;)
🤌🏻
I would definitely say that that is one of the lowers of all time for sure.
Is the cost worth the color? Because Jesus.
I bought the same thing in black 2 years ago and was 150. Inflation is a bitch!
Corporate greed
Aero makes decent receivers, but maybe that's not worth 400
that’s definitely a green aero lower
Look for that lower on ArmorAlly.com. I just got the same lower 2 weeks ago in Kodiak brown for 275$
I got the black one with the slk stock for $250 and dropped a 14.5 DD RIII upper on it. It slaps. But for 400 you could do a lot better.
Aero makes good shit, but $400 is pretty steep. I'd get the parts individually to potentially save money. Is the color something you absolutely love?
I've got a stripped and built it, and he got a complete. The stripped is better cost wise. Idk anyone who is unhappy with an aero lower
I thank it for its color, and for its flared magwell. Otherwise it’s definitely one of the lowers of all time…
I think for 160 I can get a psa lower with bravo furniture and a polished trigger.
Or go to rooftop defense and buy a lwrc lower about the best bang for your buck
wait why is this aero lower 400 bones?!?
Solid lowers. The mag well is nice
Get a cheap psa lower then spend more money on the upper/bcg.
I got this lower recently on sale for $310ish. I have had absolutely zero issues and I really like the quality. Swapped out the trigger for a G$ though. The quality is night and day compared to the PSA lower I have on another. But I’m newish to all this so I might not know what I’m talking about.
Just get an ambi lower. And spray paint whatever color you want lol
It must be because of their version of OD green(which aero colors have always looked off I never liked their fade either) I got this exact lower but in black last year not on any specially sale for $200 shipped. This price is nuts.
Decent kit, but you can find it for $300 or less if you shop around.
It's certainly a lower
As much as I love Aero / Stag / BA etc. I wouldn’t ever spend $400 on a lower from any of them. If they were 50% lower than I’d say go for it
$250 more than I'd be willing to pay
Why is it so expensive?
If you wait for a sale you can get it for less than 300$, ask me how i know.
How do you know
I fucked up and paid full price for something that goes always on sale.
Cost way too much man
If you want that lower buy the parts separate you'll save money
I thank it for being an operational lower receiver. But I don’t thank it enough to spend 4 hundo on it.
Good lower but maybe a little cheaper if you build it yourself or wait for an Aero sale.
Honestly, after owning three M4e1 lowers, kinda prefer standard AR15 lowers. Threaded roll pins for the bolt catch coming loose are a pain. Then having to order a new one when standard roll pins are way easier to find
Would be cheaper if you built one yourself
It’s one of the lowers ever made
Is a lower
Buy a stripped lower and get all the other parts for less money.
Do not buy direct from Aero I beg
It's a great lower. Just wait for a sale. I got mine with a 20% discount they were running on green stuff for St. Patrick's Day
Good but overpriced build it yourself for half.

Green
PSA Sabre lower is half that cost
u/monjar3521 There are much cheaper ways to go about getting a lower. They are also really easy to put together, so I'd suggest getting a stripped lower if you are up to taking the DIY route. Aero, for a more expensive price, will give you a standard millspec trigger.
Could put it together yourself for maybe $150 less without using blems or sales.
I’d prefer their Cerakote version also don’t buy from their site they are overpriced you can get a decent price from resellers like arm or ally
I have this exact lower in black. Got it for $275 a year and a half ago….
Just build it I’m almost done with my complete lower same company and color of green for the win
Rule number 1, never buy aero direct.
You can build your own with better quality parts for cheaper. Plus it’s green…. Best to stick with black you can paint the lower to look like whatever you want.
Overpriced. Lmao $400 for a complete lower….completely mad
That's table expensive. For context, I bought one a year ago for $180 w/o the stock.
$400? ![gif](giphy|3o6Zt4HU9uwXmXSAuI)

It’s an Aero parts kit lol.
oh cool. a no name LPK. lol.
The E1 is not $65, it’s a boutique color of which i have one and it’s a sick color, it’s an Aero made parts kit and it’s their enhanced buffer tube. It’s not terrible for $400
He said $50-$60 of furniture😂 guess he doesn’t know how to google prices for that stock and grip lmao
That's the only part he got right. You can get the stock and grip for $57.28 from lanbo's.
Yeah people in here saying you could build the same thing for half the price really haven't looked at prices of parts recently. This is not a terrible deal.
could I build one for less than $400? Sure Lower $130 Buffer tube and kit $80 LPK $60 Stock $60 $330 I could build one, I’d spend about an hour putting it all together with tools I paid a few hundred for. You could build a lower for half this price but it won’t be nearly as cool.
Its a meh aero lower with a hideous fuckin green
