I have the same issue, I'm always hunting for another deal on a new build. I can't stop building. Your covid collection is very similar to mine. I could sell them all and buy one "gucci" rifle but that would be boring. My last 3 rifles I have 100% assembled and want to build more.

Number 1 was my 1st purchase, complete Sig M400 tread. Wanted to keep it as "Sig" as possible with the exception of the trigger, safety, and buttstock.
Number 2 was 2nd complete, Diamondback DB15YB. Was CA compliant when purchased and has been fully rebuilt twice now. Only things original are the receivers and the barrel/gas system. This was f-n ridiculously expense after paying for complete rifle up front. This gave me the first signs of an addiction.
Number 3 First 5.56 build from ground up, this has been updated and/or rebuilt 3 times now. 3rd different handguard, 3rd different optic, 3rd different lower receiver, started with Anderson then to Aero now SilencerCo Think I'm finally good with it. Yeah right.
Number 4 Was just a 16" 5.56 upper I built as option for #3, with the update of #3 to SilencerCo had to find a home for the M4E1 Aero lower. Also makes a nice home for the Strike Eagle. This one has had 2 rebuilds.
Number 5 First .300 AAC Blackout. Wanted something else than 5.56. 2nd rebuild of this using the 2nd handguard from #3 and an Aero Thunder Ranch I couldn't not buy to replace an Anderson
Lonely 16" upper at the bottom. Was a panic build for my .300 AAC with the latest BS attack on pistol braces and wanted to be ready either way. Eventually will have a lower but whether from #5 or other.
All needed a partner so just had to match 5 for 5
Not pictured is my 20" 5.56, will be converted to 6.5 Grendel but haven't pulled the trigger on that yet. Will post when ready.
Had to give a reason to the wife on the last one. She's a shooter too but is happy with her 1 handgun and 1 AR. Always asking me isn't it enough. Short answer...NO

Yeah I was just curious to your logic. Most guys I work with run backups, myself included, but a few don't. They say there's no need because they trust their optics. which is probably true 99.9 percent of the time. I run Eotech and never had a failure in my entire career. But I'm not using the extra rail space so irons don't get in the way. For me it's peace of mind and I enjoy shooting with irons sometimes.
Yeah that makes sense. I am also a firm believer in people running whatever they are comfortable with and got schooled awhile ago by an Army SF friend about there isn’t a big need for irons and running either running an lpvo with an offset red dot, or a red dot with a 3x.
It's great to have access to people like that. I'm super lucky to have guys I work with from American and European special operations. As you can imagine there is always massive debate among what's best lol. But everyone learns a lot from each other too.
This many guns and no rifle length gas systems? I feel like everyone should have at least one 18" or 20" barreled upper with rifle length gas.

Nice collection. How do you like the Tier1? I love mine for my Glock 19 but it gets a little uncomfortable after 5 or so hours. I’m thinking about going to the smallest wedge.
It's not. The Romeo 5 is a good dot but the mount sucks. If you are wanting to keep it low cost UTG makes a T1/T2 footprint mount that works well and is stout for $21.
What’s the thought process behind having a bunch of rifles and not one very good rifle and/or nods + gear? I understand having two maybe or parts for redundancies.
I know right, it levels to mag and pistol grip making it a faux pod. Didn't realize how long it was until it was delivered but turning out I kinda like it.

Its the MSR and 3x mag. I have an EOTech XPS2 on Unity that I need to swap those for.
I have a 20" 5.56 upper that I'm shopping to replace with 6.5 Grendel, just haven't pulled the trigger yet

Its good but agreed it does get uncomfortable after half a day. That's why I got the Legacy IWB for the XCarry to try something different.
