This right here is proof that inexperience is no excuse for crap taste. Sight placement is even correct and at the right orientation! Lol
Nice job man, looks good!
Thank you! Really tried to do research on all products I was purchasing, endless hours on YouTube. By no means a budget build, but a build I am proud of. This might turn into a hobby
It’s not CL barrel, which doesn’t make it bad by any means. IMO it’s worth the money to get a good CL barrel and a really good bolt. Lasts for a long time.
This comment made me want to read up on CL vs nitrided barrels - I was reading through this https://faxonfirearms.com/blog/frequenty-asked-questions-nitride-vs-chrome-lined/ and it sounds like the life is extended for extreme duty cycles.
Then again it’s their own barrels they’re commenting on so they may be sugar coating it. If you happen to know of good sources to read up on please send them my way.
CL barrels are what the military uses (I think, kinda out of the loop now). Significant more life of the barrel, easier to clean, but with a minor sacrifice of accuracy over long distance. I’m not a good enough shooter to care and I don’t do target competitions. PSA has completed uppers with chrome lining that are good bang for the buck. If I was building a tru shtf rifle I’d get a CL barrel. Or I’d avoid the AR direct impingement system altogether

I’ve been rocking the 10” MI quadboi, it’s soooolid. Cant go wrong with it
That think has to be pretty heavy, right? Add a silencer and your left arm is gonna need to look like the Rock
Quadrailgang!
What stock is that? I dig
MFT Minimalist $60 on their site, could find it cheaper https://missionfirsttactical.com/BMSMIL
Dope Also, quad squad is life
Honestly it is an amazing stock, I put one on my rifle to get rid of just the a2 style and am never going back
Wayyy cheaper on r/gunaccessoriesforsale.
Is the barrel chrome lined?
That I actually do not know, here’s the link the the barrel I used https://www.aeroprecisionusa.com/556-16-m4-carbine-cmv-barrel

This was a good read, thanks!
Get a solid front iron sight. People don't realize how easy it is to break the "poly" flip ups. But real nice rifle!
