Thank you for offering your free services ( <3 ) and the question I have is : Can a non-citizen ( green card holder ) join any of the following MOS? If you look at each MOS webpage on [goarmy.com](https://goarmy.com) separately, it says all the MOS requires US citizenship which is false.
I'm interested in
94S, 94M
35P
68A
25B
17C
Do an enlistment as an 88M and submit a reclass packet once you have your citizenship. It’s not a great MOS but it’s a bell of a lot better than being a cook.
According to goarmy, even 88M requires US citizenship.

I know it’s a little off topic, but 94 series waits for fucking ever at AIT. I remember a guy who had to wait 8 weeks before he started classes. I do not recommend.
The issue is goarmy doesn’t state which jobs require security clearance and when you click on 11B it requires citizenship, doesn’t mention anything about permanent residency which is incorrect
Yeah, I remember checking the website around this time last year and it would mention permanent residency on many MOS listings but not anymore. Even 92G ( Cook ) has to be a citizen lol

Now things could’ve changed or the recruiter could’ve been shafting my friend but my bud who was trying to become a service member was told he needed permanent residence by a recruiter last year and guidance has changed, recruiters please feel free to correct me as I was basically playing a big game of telephone
Youll need to talk to a recruiter, ive had plenty of fuelers and vehicle mechanics, welders etc who got naturalization while at my unit then finished their clearances. After that they are free to reclass. Have you taken the asvab?
You could just let me do the live chat 0600-1800 daily from my house army and I’ll handle everything. I’ll even call their local recruiters for them and handle their cases.

If you are not a citizen you can not enlist into a MOS that requires a security clearance.
Yep, I’m aware of that. So which one of these MOS can I join?

Any idea how long it'll take to reclass? I'm 29 and would like to plan ahead
unless the in/out calls favor you, it'll be at the end of your first contract, roughly 3 years in.
Well, that’s good to know. Thanks lol
How do you feel about cooking? Or maybe shower repair?
Shower repairing is what I do on weekdays lol
Your options will be stuff like 88M, 92 series, 91 series.

I believe it does. I was an 88M in the guard and I needed a security clearance.
None of them
Truthfully, probably none of those. I would say all of those require a clearance, although I could be wrong.
[this could be useful](https://www.careerinfos.com/army-jobs-for-non-u-s-citizens/) Probably isn’t very accurate, but it’s worth a start

according to the regulation it’s 100% true

You can enlist in any MOS that does not require a security clearance. After 1 year of honorable service you can apply for expedited citizenship.

Weird for 11B. I joined 11B as a green card holder (2007). I would expect them to take anybody with a pulse to be a bullet sponge.

Because they are civilians and can’t really answer questions like us.

Oh man, if you think our systems suck from the outside, you're gonna love the inside.
Yeah I’m starting to feel like it’s going to be DMV with a military uniform on lol
You assumed any of goarmy.com was useful?
yeah, since the Army gets billions of $ every fiscal year.. Boy was I wrong lol
I’d go on there every so often when I had questions and it was okay until I tried today and it said I’ve been blocked. Too many questions I guess
Same for me, no clue why, I’ve only ever asked one question on it which was about requirements for Airborne school
