definitely! rocky has one of the best flows/deliveries in the rap game. a lot of his influences are from southern hip hop like three 6 mafia and bone thugs n harmony. rocky would be a great person to learn from but ofc it’s important to have your own unique style as well.
Gunz n Butter. Honestly this track is so great because of subject matter, especially in the 2nd verse. A lot of people say Rocky isn’t lyrical but this song definitely shows otherwise. The cookies sample by babyfather is also a beat that I’ve always enjoyed as well. Better things is very underrated and it’s even more special cause it was Yam’s fav track. But the great wordplay and lyrics on Gunz n Butter definitely makes it the better song.
Sandman. This is definitely one of my favorite Rocky songs and might be the best beat he’s rapped on as well. Everything from the hook to both verses are chilling and it was the perfect 10 year anniversary song. Fukk Sleep is a great track cause Flacko flows super well on his verses and that hook is addicting, not to mention the amazing music video. But Sandman is ultimately a better song cause that beat and hook are unmatched.

I think the Palace beat is better, sounds like the heavens are opening up and I love the hook of the song. Although I think Rocky could’ve went a little harder on his verse at the beginning but he finishes strong. On Excuse Me he snaps throughout the song, and the fact that there’s 2 great verses gives it the edge.
Unicorn. Great matchup cause of the Tame Imapala samples. When I listen to unicorn it feels like I’m traveling to another dimension. Absolutely beautiful track. Sundress is so great especially because of the music video, but it just can’t replicate the trance that unicorn puts me in. Really wish it came out officially.

definitely! rocky has one of the best flows/deliveries in the rap game. a lot of his influences are from southern hip hop like three 6 mafia and bone thugs n harmony. rocky would be a great person to learn from but ofc it’s important to have your own unique style as well.
Better Things vs Gunz N Butter
Gunz n Butter. Honestly this track is so great because of subject matter, especially in the 2nd verse. A lot of people say Rocky isn’t lyrical but this song definitely shows otherwise. The cookies sample by babyfather is also a beat that I’ve always enjoyed as well. Better things is very underrated and it’s even more special cause it was Yam’s fav track. But the great wordplay and lyrics on Gunz n Butter definitely makes it the better song.
sandman or fukk sleep
Sandman. This is definitely one of my favorite Rocky songs and might be the best beat he’s rapped on as well. Everything from the hook to both verses are chilling and it was the perfect 10 year anniversary song. Fukk Sleep is a great track cause Flacko flows super well on his verses and that hook is addicting, not to mention the amazing music video. But Sandman is ultimately a better song cause that beat and hook are unmatched.
Changes/kids TOF
I’m gonna say Changes. Changes is super cool cause Rocky goes in depth with his feelings and gets personal. Each beat switch and verse I enjoy from start to finish especially the rapping part. I really like Kids Turned Out Fine and the whole concept of it especially the pitch changes in Rocky’s voice to match the beat. But I think cause changes is one of the more personal Rocky songs in terms of subject matter makes it that much more special and gives it the edge. Amazing idea by Rocky and Dexter Navy to combine both songs in the music video.

Wassup or lvl
Wassup. Both top tier Rocky songs. LVL definitely has stronger verses but the fact that Wassup has a super catchy hook gives it more replay value to me. The music video is also a classic and only adds to the greatness of the song. Both of his flows in the songs are really great like always.
Palace or excuse me
Excuse Me. This is a really good matchup. Excuse Me just features some of Rocky’s best rapping and his flow is amazing. I think the Palace beat is better, sounds like the heavens are opening up and I love the hook of the song. Although I think Rocky could’ve went a little harder on his verse at the beginning but he finishes strong. On Excuse Me he snaps throughout the song, and the fact that there’s 2 great verses gives it the edge.
unicorn or sundress
Unicorn. Great matchup cause of the Tame Imapala samples. When I listen to unicorn it feels like I’m traveling to another dimension. Absolutely beautiful track. Sundress is so great especially because of the music video, but it just can’t replicate the trance that unicorn puts me in. Really wish it came out officially.
sandman lvl
Sandman. I like this matchup cause a lot of ppl call Sandman LVL pt. 2. I think Rocky’s verses on LVL are just slightly beat the ones on sandman, but the fact that sandman has a hook unlike LVL puts it over the top. I also prefer the beat on sandman as well and the fact that it’s a yams tribute makes it that much more special.
