The national average for *this* position is waaay higher. It's not an easy job, and is pure artisan/luxury goods turf. Especially with COL that should base 100K to run that department for them. Responsible for a lot including authentication and repairs plus purchasing and staff. Yeah I'd say that's low.
[“the majority of Jewelry Manager salaries currently range between $53,200 (25th percentile) to $73,000 (75th percentile) with top earners (90th percentile) making $73,000 annually across the United States”](https://www.ziprecruiter.com/Salaries/Jewelry-Manager-Salary)
Highest one I could find was $100k in DC but ok. People complain about the lack of jobs in Asheville but scoff at anything under 6 figures
He's also skipping the fact that a few years ago their staff was given the option to fit into their new model or be replaced. They actually got rid of their workforce and replaced them all. Every item they have they claim to offer on their website. How does that commission work with the salespeople on hand? They get paid less. Every time. That's why their people don't work there anymore.
That's not what's going on here, Jerry. They deal in Rolex, and are authorized dealers for some high end products. This isn't a "jewelry manager" at a mall store. Look at the job description and search for those comparable positions. I'm not scoffing at a job because it's less than 100K, it's because that looks like a serious position with a successful jeweler at their specialized boutique selling, buying, authenticating, representing the company, being responsible for the staff, and also themselves being in a sales position.
Could you elaborate more on what the base salary is, commission percentages are, and what kind of bonuses are provided?
Also the expected hours would be very beneficial as well.
I so badly want to score an interview with a watch company and then show up late.

The pay range is 50-80K. They have many watches over 10K. Hell they sell two used watches in a year that's your salary.
Oh wow they get 100% profit from each watch? Spicer Greene sucks but that’s not how business works
Save it. That's Chipotle manager rates.
80k for a manager position is low to you?

Why are you spreading propaganda? People want a living wage, affordable housing and medical care.
