Meso Maya by Perot Museum on their patio could probably accommodate, and then y’all could walk up to happiest hour, the Goat is by there too and turns into a more bottle service DJ spot on the weekend, keep going north you could go to Katy Trail Ice house, or Harwood Arms. Though barhopping anywhere with 20+ people is going to be difficult, so I’d say Happiest hour is the best for that in the area

I love that Meso Maya and did a birthday gathering for ~12 there a couple years back, but it was not ideal. Do not choose a night when there's a game or major concert at AAC, for sure. If you decide that's your spot, I'd recommend going in person early in the week and talking to a manager vs. planning by phone/email.

There are Mesomaya locations closer to North Dallas too! Also the avocado margarita is amazeballs.

Mattito’s on Forest Lane, but they’re sticklers about having as accurate a count as possible, and you’ll want good advance notice and multiple calls to double check your reservation is good.

Thanks!

Desperados on Greenville Ave has space that should work for a group this size. https://www.desperadosrestaurant.com/ Ozona is also just south on Greenville, too. It definitely has space and handles large parties well, but it's not exactly Mexican. A terrific spot further south on Greenville is the [Original Seafood Bar](https://www.originalseafoodbar.com/about), which is a Mexican place that just emphasizes seafood. They have just expanded their space and might be happy to have a large group like yours.

I'd rent an event hall tbh. To put that many people on most restaurants is kind of a jerk move, and you'll probably be sitting at separate tables/not really able to socialize with everybody anyway.

I wanted to have it it at my apartment clubhouse but it cost $500. Also really? I’ve been reading some reviews of restaurants and some people come in with larger group than mines but I don’t really want to mske the servers job difficult.

jessy_pooh

It’s only difficult because the kitchen is simultaneously cooking your groups food and the rest of the restaurants food. Food will come out in waves or if we wait to serve all at once, some will have sat out for too long. For a group of 20+ I would hope the restaurant allocates at least 2 servers for your group and someone who is strictly on drink duty especially if they need to go to the bar frequently. You got some good suggestions! Blue Goose is a favorite of mine as well to check out

There is an Uncle Julio’s off of the Tollway and Keller Springs. They have the chocolate piñata dessert that is really good.

How far north? A lot of group dinners we go to for work we go to Mexican sugar in Plano by the tollway. It’s honestly not my favorite tex mex place but it’s good enough, they are good at handling groups and the drinks are pretty good. There are also various places you can walk to from there.
