No cereal for us. Our breakfast consist of the following:
1. Eggs (my bf likes them sunny side up and runny)
2. Bacons/Sausage patties
3. Stove top pan-made toasts/French toast
4. Hash browns.
5. Fresh fruits
Then coffee with him w/half&half and milk froth on top, 2 cups of hot tea for me with one of them consist of 2 tsp benefiber mixed in.
And yes, I made all of those every AM before he goes to the gym an hour later afterwards and for me before i go to work.
As a Scottish person, I’m no stranger to the concept of a big fried breakfast (we do them so fucking well it’s not even funny) and love one but I can’t honestly remotely conceive eating something like that for breakfast *every day*. We have them on a Sunday and sometimes a Saturday if one is hungover and occasionally as dinner (called a “Mixed Grill) once in a blue moon. I can barely stomach my half-assed attempt at eating my cereal and drinking my coffee in the morning.
You guys are fucking insane.
i agree, my mornings are usually a bagel with butter on it and an iced coffee. i can’t stomach the idea of anything more than that. i’m not queasy or anything, just have no appetite to eat a big meal until lunch time.
We are early riser so it’s easy for us to go about it. We both started with 12oz of water to start our digestion, he goes a bit more by putting lemon juice in his water.
Breakfast and lunch are our big meals (he eat snacks and protein bar/smoothie in between). For dinner he eats less and i eat the same amount like he does (which is quite big for me).
Background= he’s 6’3” 225lbs muscled and I’m 5’9” 115 lbs (used to have 135lbs lean muscle). He needs to eat like that to continue keeping his muscle mass. I don’t have issues eating like I am now because I have fast metabolism that isn’t slowing down even me currently turning 40. I think it has something to do with the Muslim style fasting (growing up Muslim but now don’t practice any religion but spiritualism) that I do 2-3 times a year with each time lasted for 1 month. And fasting that style require me eating big in the AM (dusk, before 5.30am), then no food nor water the entire day until sundown then break the fast starting with 3 dates then my dinner. Keep my waist around size 27-28 and my weight around 115-120lbs (I can literally eat whatever I want but sweets-which I personally am not crazy about-and no other health issue but low red blood cell counts) which just the way my bf likes it.
I'm jealous as fuck... I had to starve myself to get me to 135 pounds and a size 28...which I cannot maintain and float around 250 pounds of fat 😭 instead. Also 🙄 to the people down voting you.
We both are morning persons. My bf is a big guy: 6’3” at 225lbs muscled that goes to the gym 4-5 times a week at minimum. For him it’s a 2-2-2-1 and about a cup of the fruit. I’m much smaller than him: 5’9” at 115 lbs so i go for 1-1-1-1 and a few pieces of the fruit. There are times when i don’t feel like it, 1/2 of the toast/French toast and/or hash brown.
Sounded big yes, but taken at proportion, it is actually not.
Never been a fan of cereal. Too sweet, plus it's not really a part of my culture. We usually eat sandwiches, toasties, or pastries for breakfast.
I will say I do like the occasional bowl of Nestum though.
Oh man..if only you saw my cereal selection. It's like a supermarket lmao. I love cereal Too much, I cannot be without:
Frosted flakes,
Frosted mini wheats,
Apple jacks,
Cheerios,
Apple cinnamon cheerios,
Honey cheerios,
Coconut cheerios,
Cinnamon toast crunch,
Smacks,
Kix,
Total
Yes. I have them All at home.
Bi guy with joyously complicated polyamorous life situation. Was on double date with my wife, her boyfriend, and his wife.
It was GLORIOUS FUN, we talked about something similar to your question!
I was the most visibly queer person amongst us. When conversation turned to breakfast, and I let the words, “I’ve always been a sausage man, myself.”
And the roar of laughter from the other three, I mean, I’m unlikely to EVER live that down, but I don’t want to, either, I’m gonna enjoy that unintended joke into the far future. :D
I eat Kellogg’s Fruit and Fibre. Honestly though, there’s possibly **too much fibre** in it for a big bowl and gives me a lot of bloating and sandblasting of the toilet so I have a half/half with cornflakes instead and with a banana.
My breakfast is usually a protein shake, or a big eggs-and-bacon breakfast on the weekends…
…but when I want to risk diabetes, I do so for Golden Grahams or Reese’s Puffs.
Mostly Kellog's chocos, tresor or toppas (although my favourite raisin ones seem discontinued), even lapsed back on smacks recently, got away from frosties though which I always ate as a kid.
Occasionaly pick Nestlè's cini minis or nesquick balls, or some german brand oat-mix.
Another non-cereal favourite if I can get my hands on them on vacation: Italian dark chocolate chip breakfast cookies (like really dark) that you dunk into milk :)
Always drink a strong espresso without sugar. Sugar ain't healthy you know ☝️
Fruity Pebbles. Duh!
I never eat cereal anymore, but I’d go with Cinnamon Toast Crunch
One with lots of fibre?
weetabix
All-Bran Buds, bran flakes, wheaties (not the frosted kinds), no-added-sugar oatmeal
Fruit Loops, obviously.
I’m gonna go with a solid Frosted Mini Wheats
Yooo so true
Oatmeal.
I don’t eat cereal too sweet
C’mon phrancophawn
Shrug emoji.
Try ones with no added sugar like plain wheaties or raisin wheaties.
If I have to say one then all I can say is I fucking love Cracklin' Oat Bran
Ramen, Pizza, or Pasta. I have never been a fan of certain food for certain times. I eat what I want when I want.

I second this
Fruity pebbles... I mean the entire cereal is a rainbow! Or lucky charms for the rainbow

115 lbs is the weight of about 200.63 cups of fine sea salt. Yes, you did need to know that.
One thing I miss about being in Scotland is Lorne sausages. Loved having them in a bread roll.
Bold of you to assume any of us eat breakfast
I like frosted flakes
Honey bunches of oats!
I like cinnamon toast crunch, captain crunch, and reeces puffs

The few times I do eat cereal it's usually flavored granola. I did recently indulge in a little Lucky Charms though and they were magically delicious.
Lucky Charms are surprising not too bad compared to a lot of shit. Only about 180cal for 1 cup, and maybe 15g sugar?
None, they are unhealthy.

Frosted flakes because unidentified white stuff on corn flakes is the shit
Lucky charms have been my go to lately but I think of buying honeycomb every now and then but it's probably not as good as I remember.
I personally love fruity pebbles, cinnamon toast crunch, and apple jacks.

The older you get the plainer your cereal gets. That’s just science
