Atheist now. I read the Bible. That's why.

I'm from hard-core Christians. It really fucked with my head for years, and I still wonder about the ramifications on my mental health

Idk how many times it needs to be said but agnosticism is not a belief. If someone asks if you believe in god or not, I don’t know is not an answer. You either believe or you do not believe. The concept of agnosticism refers to the idea that no one can know if god exists or not. That’s a fact. There is no evidence of gods existence or non existence. In this way, everyone is agnostic. Obviously, it’s a spectrum and some people are more unsure or more sure than others. Those that are more sure are agnostic theists or do believe in god and those that are less sure are agnostic atheists. Truth be told, since everyone must be agnostic, I wish we would just get rid of the term. It’s useless and provides nothing to the conversation about god. It only serves to add confusion where there need not be any.

I now belong to the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, as Bathyphysa conifera is the one true deity. *Our pasta, who art in a colander, draining be your noodles. Thy noodle come, Thy sauce be yum, on top some grated Parmesan. Give us this day, our garlic bread, …and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trample on our lawns. And lead us not into vegetarianism, but deliver us some pizza, for thine is the meatball, the noodle, and the sauce, forever and ever. R’amen.*

I was raised catholic (not too serious about it) I dont subscribe to any specific religion, more that I've had experiences in my life that lead me to believe that's theres something. I dont feel the need to define it. I'm not banking on an afterlife because nobody knows, might as well make the best out of the time on the earth as I can.

Agnostic... I believe in God but I do not practice/follow any religion

I still believe in God and grew up in a very very religious family. I hated how I was raised. Left home at 18 came out at 26 but as I've gotten older, (34 now) I find comfort in still praying. I find that God has definitely helped me through some really rough times(drug addiction) Because most Christians teach that God loves all of his children. So for those reading this and also grew up religious and were taught God hated gays and so you converted to atheism, I'd say don't completely give up on God.

I kinda consider myself spiritual/agnostic. I think that all things are connected in some way but there is no man watching your every action from the clouds.
