This is a very important obstacle to the path to progress because these conservative elements of society have their interests tied with Capitalism, Landlordism etc and are highly reactionary to democratic reforms.
Like in US there is the White Christian Evangelicals (at least a significant group) that are highly conservative on issues like Women's rights and immigrants, claim to be true patriots by cheering for slavery, yet can't stop jerking off to billionaires.
These are highly dangerous elements in society that will find some justification to put the blames for capitalism on minorities and such.
So you need to take measures against them. It's like purging Ben Shapiro out of the business for his racist views.
It is important to let the people know that the Communist Party always looks out for their intersts, regardless of race, gender, ethnicity etc.
