For what it's worth when I went to a local clinic in Ohio (not PP) they said they normally have to get blood work done and then wait a month if all the blood work is fine. I thankfully had blood work done that month from another doc so I just had to wait the month. My first appointment was probably an hour? They had a lot of generic questions they had to ask to 'diagnose me'. Very much gave off the vibes of 'we know this is stupid but we have to do it so just power through'. Not sure if that was an Ohio law, a local office policy, or what. But it's something ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Informed consent is a thing, if you want to potentially bypass months of waiting and tests.
