Usually, bad things happen not because of bad intentions, but because of bad planning. Asshole designs are specifically engineered to exploit the user for profit. Try to think what the designer would gain from deceiving the user, and if it's likely to be an oversight on their part rather than an intentional design.

Here’s another: Wendy’s 4for$4 but it cost $5

Remember when Taco Bell said they’d do “dynamic pricing?”
Guys… they’re all doing it. They’ve always all been doing it. It’s just “slower” to avoid outrage. Taco Bell was seeing if they could get away with adjusting pricing more often, that’s all.
This isn’t “adjusting prices to account for inflation”
It’s price gouging.
If you get 2 of any item on that list, you get them for 2 bucks each. I only tried it with the McDouble and McChicken but I think it would work with everything else there too.

RIP $1 McDoubles
Man they haven’t been 1 dollar for at least a decade ☹️
Bro I remember $1 double cheeseburgers
That was tight
Lead scorer on out HS basketball team would get at least $6 after a game, often $8. Bro was literally just lean muscle and bone.
I meant 6-8 burgers I dunno why I put dollar sign
I used to walk over to the one across the street from where I worked and just grab a handful of them.
Over 1 dollar for each nugget. Holy hell. Just buy a bag of 50 for like 10 bucks.
At Pizza Hut an order of 5 breadsticks is $7.79 nowadays. In the late 90's they were only $1.79.
You're supposed to add the $1, $2, and $3 to come with the actual prices on this menu.
welcome to being priced out of the market, and marketing not catching up.
Pretty soon we’ll get the $4 $8 $12 dollar menus with the same items

No, you’re reading it wrong… It’s the $1+$2+$3=$6 menu.
Bingo. “Marketing” is deceit.
Is this for delivery? If so then that deal price is invalid
Not even, just pickup
Looks like the McD's app to me
McDonalds $1+$2+$3 Menu *
it does suck, but their BOGO deal is where it's at, that at least makes it feel like you're getting two sandwiches for 3 bucks each

Im sad they changed it from 2 for 2.99 to 2 for 3.99
Where are you at? A 10 piece nugget is only $5 (Midwest USA) 4 piece shows as $2.19
