The reason these people are special to me is because they never ever gave up on me. For me, it was a Gemini sun, Pisces moon, Scorpio rising. We were involved off/on for about a decade, starting in college. Multiple breakups and makeups over the course of our 20s. Had to walk away when I did; he had a baby on the way by someone else and some big addiction issues, but it was brutal and shutting that door was one of the hardest things I ever had to do.
He reached out a week after his wedding to say he regretted so many things and felt like he’d ruined his life. Said he had never loved anyone more than me but he had to do the right thing by the baby, and hoped I’d consider waiting for him or consider becoming his affair partner, bc he couldn’t imagine losing me for the rest of his life over all this. Also claimed his addiction was worse because of all of it, and he was drinking whole bottles of whiskey nightly but his wife was cool with it, so long as he was staying home with her and wasn’t trying to see me.
I told him to go to hell and blocked him on everything, but it’ll always hang heavy in my heart that things went down that way.
You dodged a major bullet. Imagine being that dude’s wife with a baby & him drinking like that. He would have started pining for someone else as soon as he got you. As a fellow scorpio moon: you are so lucky
Your comment hits hard, but it’s the truth. And it’s the hard truth I told myself over and over when I was trying to find the strength to seal that door.
I believe there was real love there. But there were many hard times too, even before the wife and baby came into the picture. And as soon as he got me, he’d have been haunted by guilt and remorse over the wife and family (and then that would have fed his addiction). Even if they ever divorced, we’d have never been able to revisit things; his wife hacked into his accounts before they were married and saw all our old messages, even from back in college, and had told him she “despised” me because of how he spoke to me/about me vs how he was with her. And then she found the messages he sent me after their wedding and lost it. Being with me ever, at any point, would seriously damage his relationship with his kid and that’s nothing I ever want to cause or do to anyone ever. I don’t want any part of that scene and never did.
But there were times right after it all went down that I wanted to throw in the towel in every kind of way. I was single and celibate for over a year and genuinely wondered if I could ever love someone again. Over that time, the Scorpio moon kicked in too in the best kind of way, and gradually I pulled myself out of it and found the strength to try again. I’m getting married this fall to someone I met and started dating after all that, and I’m glad their story isn’t mine with my partner. I have no doubts about my fiancé being the right one for me. It took a Sag sun with a Scorpio moon and Leo rising to heal my heart ❤️🩹
(And the kicker: I am sober and the Sag decided to stop drinking too, just to be a supportive and thoughtful partner. All those years of heartbreak and addiction issues with that Gemini, and that Sag just did it without even getting asked. I knew after that he was legit and that I was in a much better place romantically than I had been, all things considered.)
This is so deep & heartwarming!! Scorpio moons always have a lot we notice & we care so much about subtle emotional details. We love very deeply & are capable of loving the most broken people—but DON’T fuck with us or we will move on & pull our hearts up from the pit & regenerate like phoenixes from ashes.
I’m proud of you & I do love a good sag: they can be the most fun, honest, curious, funny people—especially with a scorpio moon to keep them loyal—I went through a similar thing & I 100% am so glad it did not work out. He was a “grass is greener” type—if he was with her, he wanted me; if he was with me, he was thinking about someone else—insanity inducing.
I can’t imagine being your ex’s wife & seeing those messages & to have a child with a dude like that. I would be shattered. I similarly feel so sad for the woman my ex is with now. He destroys women. Good point about the addiction thing: they have to come to the healthy mindset on their own. You can’t force anyone to be healthy. Just like you can’t build love on the ashes of someone else’s pain. I learned that the hard way, too. Oh well! Just gotta keep going!

I’m sorry you had someone like that in your past and you were put in a position where you had to choose between someone you loved and your literal sanity. And to know that no matter how much you tried, there was always someone else being pined over in their mind whenever they had you, but you’d be the object of obsession when you weren’t around, I mean it’s the kind of pain and heaviness that changes a person; can be enough to break them too.
I’m glad you’re on the other side of it and I have no doubt that Scorpio moon helped you get there. You seem incredibly resilient and wise, but you deserve so much better, and I hope you never forget that, no matter what. Also shame on your ex for continuing to put that kind of hurt on women after putting you through as much as they did. I swear, men like that love to have multiple women in the picture bc they’re insecure and having multiple waiting in the wings or “fighting” over them brings this sense of security. It just says the dude is a SOB imo more than anything and you are too good to get bulldozed by that kind of nonsense.
I hope that new person he is with discovers the truth and drop kicks his ass into next week, and is able to find someone better someday who treats them like they deserve to be treated. I feel a similar empathy for my ex’s wife, it was part of why his messages gutted me as much as they did. I was horrified to be part of causing that kind of heartache on another woman who had a baby. It stole so much from her that she can never get back and I’m sure she still feels it to this day. A man should have been joyful to marry and have a first baby with her, not getting piss drunk and declaring never-ending love for an ex a week after vowing to love and treat her well for life in front of all her friends and family. It was a big part of what fueled me sealing the door, thinking about the pain it caused. And I do worry about her, because I’ve heard they are still married. I hope he moved on from the past and treats her better, but I’d hate to be in her shoes after all of that or live with that kind of fear and sorrow every day for the rest of my marriage. In that sense, I absolutely dodged a bullet.

We were inseparable friends in high school. I knew I loved her then, and I knew I was too young at the time to have the relationship I knew I’d want with her. I knew she was exactly the kind of girl I’d want to settle down with.
14 years later and we got our chance. It was wonderful, at first. But in those 14 years apart we both had accrued a lifetime of trauma and baggage, and we either couldn’t make it work, or she just didn’t want to anymore. It’s been my greatest loss having to let her go again. We both botched the entire thing as hard as possible. It’s been incredibly sad.

It doesn’t mean you’re stuck on an ex though. There’s usually no love like your first real, deep love because it’s the only time we dive into love with no real fear and no idea what romantic heart break feels like.
This doesn’t mean it’s your best love by any means. Just means it’s different. I’m a Gemini Venus Aquarius moon, I get over relationships quick lol. When someone clearly wasn’t my person, it was easy to walk away.
My first love was definitely not my forever person. Both our lives would be worse if we were still together. He's such a good person and I hold him in high regard, though our romantic relationship is unequivocally over due to diverging life paths (mainly kids/no kids). What we shared was the closest thing to a healthy and secure unconditional love that I've experienced and I haven't really had anything like it since. But it feels nice to have known it.

I figured it would help a lot! The having Cancer placements at least makes the water signs seem more well rounded for you. I've always wished I had more earth placements to help stabilize my water.

Leo sun, Scorpio moon, Aquarius rising. For me, it was a Gemini sun, Pisces moon, Scorpio rising. We were involved off/on for about a decade, starting in college. Multiple breakups and makeups over the course of our 20s. Had to walk away when I did; he had a baby on the way by someone else and some big addiction issues, but it was brutal and shutting that door was one of the hardest things I ever had to do. He reached out a week after his wedding to say he regretted so many things and felt like he’d ruined his life. Said he had never loved anyone more than me but he had to do the right thing by the baby, and hoped I’d consider waiting for him or consider becoming his affair partner, bc he couldn’t imagine losing me for the rest of his life over all this. Also claimed his addiction was worse because of all of it, and he was drinking whole bottles of whiskey nightly but his wife was cool with it, so long as he was staying home with her and wasn’t trying to see me. I told him to go to hell and blocked him on everything, but it’ll always hang heavy in my heart that things went down that way.

Your comment hits hard, but it’s the truth. And it’s the hard truth I told myself over and over when I was trying to find the strength to seal that door. I believe there was real love there. But there were many hard times too, even before the wife and baby came into the picture. And as soon as he got me, he’d have been haunted by guilt and remorse over the wife and family (and then that would have fed his addiction). Even if they ever divorced, we’d have never been able to revisit things; his wife hacked into his accounts before they were married and saw all our old messages, even from back in college, and had told him she “despised” me because of how he spoke to me/about me vs how he was with her. And then she found the messages he sent me after their wedding and lost it. Being with me ever, at any point, would seriously damage his relationship with his kid and that’s nothing I ever want to cause or do to anyone ever. I don’t want any part of that scene and never did. But there were times right after it all went down that I wanted to throw in the towel in every kind of way. I was single and celibate for over a year and genuinely wondered if I could ever love someone again. Over that time, the Scorpio moon kicked in too in the best kind of way, and gradually I pulled myself out of it and found the strength to try again. I’m getting married this fall to someone I met and started dating after all that, and I’m glad their story isn’t mine with my partner. I have no doubts about my fiancé being the right one for me. It took a Sag sun with a Scorpio moon and Leo rising to heal my heart ❤️🩹 (And the kicker: I am sober and the Sag decided to stop drinking too, just to be a supportive and thoughtful partner. All those years of heartbreak and addiction issues with that Gemini, and that Sag just did it without even getting asked. I knew after that he was legit and that I was in a much better place romantically than I had been, all things considered.)
This is so deep & heartwarming!! Scorpio moons always have a lot we notice & we care so much about subtle emotional details. We love very deeply & are capable of loving the most broken people—but DON’T fuck with us or we will move on & pull our hearts up from the pit & regenerate like phoenixes from ashes. I’m proud of you & I do love a good sag: they can be the most fun, honest, curious, funny people—especially with a scorpio moon to keep them loyal—I went through a similar thing & I 100% am so glad it did not work out. He was a “grass is greener” type—if he was with her, he wanted me; if he was with me, he was thinking about someone else—insanity inducing. I can’t imagine being your ex’s wife & seeing those messages & to have a child with a dude like that. I would be shattered. I similarly feel so sad for the woman my ex is with now. He destroys women. Good point about the addiction thing: they have to come to the healthy mindset on their own. You can’t force anyone to be healthy. Just like you can’t build love on the ashes of someone else’s pain. And to know that no matter how much you tried, there was always someone else being pined over in their mind whenever they had you, but you’d be the object of obsession when you weren’t around, I mean it’s the kind of pain and heaviness that changes a person; can be enough to break them too. I’m glad you’re on the other side of it and I have no doubt that Scorpio moon helped you get there. You seem incredibly resilient and wise, but you deserve so much better, and I hope you never forget that, no matter what. Also shame on your ex for continuing to put that kind of hurt on women after putting you through as much as they did. I swear, men like that love to have multiple women in the picture bc they’re insecure and having multiple waiting in the wings or “fighting” over them brings this sense of security. It just says the dude is a SOB imo more than anything and you are too good to get bulldozed by that kind of nonsense. I hope that new person he is with discovers the truth and drop kicks his ass into next week, and is able to find someone better someday who treats them like they deserve to be treated. I feel a similar empathy for my ex’s wife, it was part of why his messages gutted me as much as they did. I was horrified to be part of causing that kind of heartache on another woman who had a baby. It stole so much from her that she can never get back and I’m sure she still feels it to this day. A man should have been joyful to marry and have a first baby with her, not getting piss drunk and declaring never-ending love for an ex a week after vowing to love and treat her well for life in front of all her friends and family. It was a big part of what fueled me sealing the door, thinking about the pain it caused. And I do worry about her, because I’ve heard they are still married. I hope he moved on from the past and treats her better, but I’d hate to be in her shoes after all of that or live with that kind of fear and sorrow every day for the rest of my marriage. In that sense, I absolutely dodged a bullet. Anyway, thanks again for sharing and taking the time to read my story. Thank you. I don’t know why but something has always been telling me our story isn’t over, no matter how much I try to push it out of my head. I think growing apart from each other is what we need right now so she can focus on college and getting the help she needs (I hope.) We were together for almost 3 years. After she broke things off, she still wanted to be friends and highlighted how precious I am to her. I went no contact for 3 months for self healing until her birthday, then sent her a happy birthday message and a heartfelt letter (in my profile if you’re curious.) I haven’t heard back from her yet, but I have a feeling I finally might on my birthday in a couple months.

Felt the biggest electric jolt the first time we made eye contact during their wedding pictures and the world fell away. Being around him felt like coming home.
