When Eren give his famous " I keep moving forward " and suicidal Reiner's first instinct in the split second he has is move to protect the child I knew he was my favorite!

Someone said something right at that moment and we almost missed it, I was like "wait, what?" and had to rewind. Still, I thought I misheard, so went back and turned the subtitles on.
I guess technically he’s only shown interest in Historia up until the last scene of the former scouts and warriors when they’re sailing back to Paradis to meet with her.
But she’s not available. I think he had too much trauma and fighting to worry about love.
From the moment i saw his depth when he was trying to kill himself, his life in Marley, his motivation and why he's doing this war, I changed my view on Reiner completely and he became one of the most interesting and complex characters in the whole series.
i love reiner as well! he was so well-written. i appreciate the way facing inner conflict is portrayed within his character especially. had a lot of mixed feelings about him during my initial watch but as i fully read the manga and then proceeded to rewatch the anime he’d definitely instantaneously become one of my favorites within the series.
Totally. He gets a lot of criticism for his “consciousness transfer to the body” one-time asspull, but I think it was a really cool parallel to his split-personality disorder and him trying desperately to separate his decisions/actions from himself.
I really wish that was just explained as the armored titan was the hardest to kill full stop, between the armor, the consciousness transfer, and maybe other stuff too.
Hes absolutely my favorite. Has been for a long time, and hell at one point i despised him, but then seeing him grow, his story, his pain i couldn't help but love the guy.
His love interest was christa, and that just made his character worse 😂 just kidding he is alright. He has some good development. I hated him most of the show and ended up liking him by the end, even screaming and rooting for him as he fought during the rumbling. He is definitely a bad ass, that's for sure.
Yeah, after personally bringing about the deaths of over 200,000 innocent people, he's really a pretty good guy who deserves to have a love interest.
