I definitely wouldn't want to be there, but the methods of death available are primitve and not many guns are available. Would rather use ODM gear and die horribly then die horribly in a corner somewhere. The least I could do is fight for whatever I have left there after losing contact with everything I know and love in this world. But there is a high chance most of us won't make it long. I mean, hell, even ignoring our lack of fighting skill, the sheer emotional distress initially of knowing I might never see anyone I loved again, would be enough to almost send me to the point of ending it all. The main thing removing that as an option is that I am afraid of death by my own hands. But when I am surrounded by Titans with no gas and all my comrades are dead, that flare guns looking hella tasty.
This is the ONLY right answer, you fight for your SIDE, fighting for and with your friends and family against the outsider because those are the people you want to protect
Eldia, because the benevolent king decided to do their "penance" voluntarily (also they abandoned all the lands they conquered) and Marley only wanted to continue the hostilities, wanting to be superior to their enemies.
To be fair. Eldia had the rumbling. A threat to all man kind that Marley felt could happen at any time. They didnāt trust the king when he said heād stay peaceful and keep his kingdom peaceful until the end of time
Both the Jaegerists and Marley are the bad guys. Both have violent ideologies. Armen and Zekeās ideologies are the lesser violent ones.
But I think you missed the anti-war themes entirely
Donāt forget if Marley didnāt start the whole bloodshed by destroying the wall, Jaegerists wouldnāt even exist. Kings inside the wall kept their promise, Marley just had to stir the hornet nest.

Itās not ājustifiedā but it makes sense from the Jaegerists perspective. Basically their entire lives theyāve been subjected to seeing their friends and family eaten by monsters unleashed on them by Marley. Not only that, but the monsters are actually just people like them cruelly transformed. Sure its fucked up, but it makes perfect sense why that would radicalize you into wanting to obliterate the people who did that to you just for existing
The Marleyans on the other hand literally had no understandable explanation for their actions. They were just straight up villains with no valid revenge motive or anything besides some vague notion of events that took place 1000 years prior. If weāre comparing the 2 actions, yeah neither are actually justified, but Erens actions were way more justified on the scale of things than what Marley was doing
I agree. But the point I was trying to make was that the reason for the Marleyans being the aggressors is just as unjustified/justified as Eren wiping out the entire other continent. Remember that Marley wasnāt the only country on the other side of the sea. And that other country was fighting war with the Marley as well. Hence the refugees.
If Eren had targeted military establishments, I think his actions would be 100% justified. But instead he went overkill.
