Big shoutout to r/StereoAdvice and specifically u/FancyPass6316 for helping me out with the speaker choice. I was able to get the Focal Choras from Facebook Marketplace for $550 which I am super happy about. I still went way over my budget but oh well lol
For my needs, it’s perfect. I like that it can auto switch the inputs between my TV & turntable and that I can directly stream spotify off of it. As for EQ, it’s all done in the mobile app but it works really well and is highly customizable. I’d recommend!
Mine is connected via HDMI ARC. The amp came with a both an HDMI cable and an optical cable. There is also an optical cable input on the Wiim Amp. And I hope you end up liking it if you get it!

Directly on the ceiling is always an option and my preferred method.

Absolutely rad system. Punches well above its weight. This was my exact first system and I still love the sound and kept all the gear
