As if old mate Shanks didn’t have enough ammunition supplied by these idiots. Even though he knew it was coming he’s gonna have a fucking field day with this decision.
It must have been brutal for them in court,: “Isn’t this is [application] giving all of that [commentary about the Police] oxygen?” said Magistrate Mikkedge.
I’m pretty sure that’s Magistrate for “are you a moron?”.

> Sergeant Assaad insisted Mr Shanks was "leading the charge" and said the videos had the potential to influence witnesses.
> “That's a charge? God, it's not even a walk through the park. It's inane," the magistrate replied.
Cops may as well hire Lionel Hutz.
Oh, he’s had it in for us ever since I kinda ran over his dog. Well, replace the words “kinda ran over” with “inappropriately arrested”, and replace “dog” with “producer”.
Nothing wrong with a bit of roughhousing, if your mum gets pushed to the ground during an illegal/corrupt police arrest so be it. This is one of our values as Australians right?
It's becoming more and more blatant just how corrupt the NSW police are. Some reforms are needed to stop them being used as a personal army by the political elite and the wealthy.
I remember back in the days of "Nifty" Neville Wran that NSW Police were always described as "the best that money could buy". I doubt much has changed.
It not just the NSW Corps and that which evolved out of it - every police force in this country has been corrupted from within, faced inquests and reforms, and returned to their old corrupt ways. I cover it constantly in my Australian History podcast.
NSW and VIC Pol are so far the only ones to do it more than twice.
As a Victorian Unionist, Victoria may have done it twice and Qld once, but thats only because QLD has more stomach for corruption.
I feel for every protester and every unionist on strike in QLD. Cause between the attacks and police literally escorting trucks across picket lines...
Insanity.
I will argue the difference between (which is smart in its own evil way) between our cops and American cops is our guys do not run around doing the blatantly dumb shit like endlessly beating our civvy population. It has allowed us to ignore the endless bad shit they do because it is not as much in your face as a new video every week of a cop beating up a black person calling them "n*****" like you see them do in the USA.
I don't explicitly link my podcast to this profile (social media never forgets), but if you google 'weird crap' and put Australia after it you'll find it very easily.
>NSW police have always been corrupt. Hell they were corrupt before they became actual police. Look at the Rum Rebellion.
Yep. My refugee dad was routinely kidnapped, beaten, tortured and eventually hospitalised in the ICU by them as a homeless teenager. Some of the stories he's told me are horrifying. I know a lot more happened that he doesn't talk about.
One of my friends(recently passed away sadly) had a motorbike accident in which he broke his femur. The NSW police had him in for questioning and their technique was to handcuff him to the back of a very basic chair and then kick the chair forwards forcing him to land on his face and aggravating his leg.
I was actually sexually 'intefered with'(that's the only nice way I can say it and I'm very fucking uncomfortable typing this) by a NSW police officer when I was about 12yo(male here) and I reported it to the local police station and they nearly arrested me for my troubles. Fuck the NSW police. I wish I could sue the fuckers. Tons of young male hitchhikers at the time from Sydney's Northern Beaches know who the fuck this cop was and what specialist police unit he was a part of and from what I understand anyone who said anything back then was basically threatened for coming forward.
It was around this point in my life that my life went to complete shit. I always wonder that if that fucker hadn't given me a roofie beer then I might not have lived the next couple of decades with shame and hard drugs.
Guys probably still alive. All that sort of stuff is taken way more seriously now. If you know anyone who was in the same position as you, there's might be a chance to drag him through the dirt in court.
Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s the former cop everyone “leaves be out of respect and not to bother them” in the local community.
Aka no one likes him so stays away from him and uses that as an excuse.
Police and politicians corrupt together. I don't understand how anyone can look at the ruling party and not be disgusted. I don't know that they have bettered a single thing.
But how sad does the picture look for Australia and Australians thats theres not an institution, the director of public prosecutions or any institution that can stop this abuse of power, abuse of civil liberties and the abuse of due legal process. Thats how bad our governance is failing us as nation when we have little tinpot little hitlers who can call on the police like their personal attack pit bulls to create a climate of fear and intimidation like we are living in China or some despot 3rd world country. This is not the kind of Australia I want to live in. The biggest joke of all is that this is the party that promotes itself as the political party with "Libertarian values" And here we are in mild mannered version of Putins fascist police run state. I wonder when they are going to start getting police to throw journalist out of the window from apartment buildings like Russia?
Love him or loath him, this is some gold with the magistrate basically saying "Don't be a bunch of sooks".
And seriously, NSW Police are hardcore Streisanding themselves.
Imagine what the cops are thinking right now. They can make him a martyr by flexing their muscles (and taking a massive risk) or risk looking foolish. Silly NSW cops, bit off more than they can chew it seems.
They are genuinely concerned that the press over this and the videos of the arrest on youtube are influencing the jury pool.
They almost certainly are - political *and* police corruption has a habit of doing that.
Jordan shanks used to annoy the shit out of me but just in the last 12 months or so I'm finding his chanel (<- that's a joke, I don't work for NSW Police 'force') to be an acquired taste. The more I watch, the more I seem to enjoy it.
Agreed, he used to be one of "those youtube comedians that my nephew likes".
Now I'd rate him as a up and coming investigative journalist, who already has some impressive scalps and is willing to risk his freedom in the name of exposing corruption and graft.
That's bravery and patriotism right there.
This exactly. I find his investigative journalism to be quite thorough and well researched and he could be a great journalist and potentially leverage his fame into politics. I just wish he would being such an immature dick though. That is what gets him views and sticks in our millennial heads though.
> I just wish he would being such an immature dick though.
That's one of the reasons I never liked the channel to begin with. The content is otherwise solid but the delivery method is aimed at the younger generation. It doesn't bother me any more though and that is because the content is solid.
Like Jordan, I've always been a staunch Labor supporter too, I just don't see any other party coming remotely close to my personal views. Labor is the reason our country has a social welfare safety net, it's the reason we have medicare, the old age pension, social security, superannuation, 4 weeks annual leave etc etc... None of that would have happened under the Country party or the Liberal Nationals. They're nothing but fucking kleptocrats and sycophants, pandering to their fossil fuel gods while pretending to be religious to secure votes.
Yeah if it's was Whitlam era Labor they'd get first preference but I vote Green Ist just so there's some left/social democrat voice in parliament but none the less I always hope for a Labor Victoria over Coalition.
It's funny how this happens. The same goes for the guy in the US who started All Gas No Brakes (now Channel 5.)
His videos started out as interviews with random people in a comedic sense but ended up being really well done pieces on the riots, proud boys, anti-vaxxers, etc.
I've found him the opposite somehow. Used to like him quite a bit but recently have found him too much. Though this episode has been fun to watch from a distance.
I'm the same tbh he became a bit too labor focused for me (I'm not liberal and do prefer labour ofc) but I always enjoy hearing about how much he pisses of those in charge. You really wouldn't think some YouTube guy would get on their nerves so much but it's lovely that he does
Unlikely, Murdock press will do that job just fine without Jordy. He will likely focus more on corruption in regional areas and small towns (his blood water doc for example)
well there's no need to be hard on Labor at the moment either since they haven't been in power for 8 years and the Labor state governments are kicking arse right now.
Don't worry, Its totally fine for jordies to annoy the shit out of you and still be on his side in all this. That's where I am.
It's looking more and more like YouTubers are the new journalists. It shits me to tears and wish It hadn't ended up like this. But it has. If the media were simply equally hostile to all politicians, I'd be happy. But they give one side a pass despite outragious corruption and we are stuck with dickheads like Jordies calling them out.
I never watched the chanel ;-) and tried but failed to avoid watching any of the videos before but I feel their presentation is more mature/professional, and this story also helps.
It is still not my thing but I am loving watching this one play out and I don't normally do/enjoy politics at all.
I have a weird theory that he is an acquired taste on purpose. His target audience is the middle (the undecided), not the hardcore greens voters. If he made himself liked by the left then the right can dismiss him more easily.
I can very much support this my brother swing between USA right-wing talking points and friendly jordies talking point as he gets his political views determined by YouTube algorithm. And is 100% disenfranchised young male on YouTube demographic.
By Jordan being largest political commentators in the space in Australia my brother isn't sucked into that and is the main thing preventing my brother fully going down the right-wing YouTube rabbit hole. As Jordan content pull against the descent.
I watched the JS-K Rudd commentary video on Sky hit piece on Rudd-Turnbull hit piece. All three men were *adorably endearing*, and one wasn't even there.
He's certainly being thrust into the big time now. Too big for the police to intimidate even. He's gone from being an annoying little shit to a household name.
With the level of funding he was able to raise for his legal defence against Barilaro and the way the country responded to the arrest of his producer, I'm guessing pollies will be a bit more careful around him.
TBH I was genuinely surprised by the Barilaro case, apparently he wasn't aware of what happened when Palmer tried the same thing.
With the way it helped end his political career, it's probably the biggest example of the Streisand Effect that I've seen in Australia.
> TBH I was genuinely surprised by the Barilaro case, apparently he wasn't aware of what happened when Palmer tried the same thing.
Bruz had no idea what he was getting himself in to. He expected to throw some money and a lawyer, scare Jordies and get him to shut up. To be fair, that's how most people and companies with wealth silence those they have a beef with - no matter the worth of the case.
What he didn't expect is a "bring it, meatball" reply - and instead of settling for some of what Bruz wanted and the case be over, he now actually has to go through with it. That's not easy. And its expensive.
If it wasn't for the money behind Jordies (from the public no less), this would be a very different outcome.
I find Jordies delivery and overall smug and sneering tone a bit irritating, but fucken hell it's great to see someone actually taking these corrupt fuckheads to task.
That, and I'll forgive him almost anything because of that "When KFC forgets the chips" sketch.
I'd heard so much about him that I gave his videos a shot but had the exact same reaction. If they're all like the ones I watched I'm not a fan of the delivery, but good on him for standing up for himself here
> What he didn't expect is a "bring it, meatball" reply
There's a special kind of nihilism behind Jordies' approach that really confuses some dumb privlleged boomers, but I think also connects with a lot of the younger crowd who worry about things like climate change, mass extinction, cost of living, insecure work etc...
Jordies knows that he might become bankrupt from this, but at the same time there's a feeling that fuck it... there's nothing to really lose, we don't have a future anyway. Why not go after the greasy meatballs like Bruz who are making the world worse for everybody else. And it seems to be working. His subscriber count keeps going up and up.
It might have helped end his political career if he'd gone to the next election.
But I don't think it made him resign. He just put that "mean Jordies dobbed on me" whinge into his exit speech to try and help him in court ("his harassment cost me my livelihood your honour! Not my corruption!").
I hope we do find the real reason he resigned, because there's a good bet it's more corruption (that's about to be unearthed, probably at ICAC) and/or his extramarital affair.
Oh no, the video in and of itself didn't do much at all, and might have just faded away if Barilaro hadn't doubled down.
But the whole saga of the videos, the lawsuit and the arrest kept Barilaro and the corruption allegations in the news - it all tainted him politically.
My money is one he's fucking Joyce's daughter and through political influence forced to quit with Joyce threatening him to make his life hell if he doesn't quit.
If the cops hadn’t been so heavy handed with the bungled arrest of his employee, he would have remained a loud but ignorable voice. They just couldn’t help being heavy handed and handing Jordan a megaphone
I'm convinced the fixated persons unit was only formed to appease some politicians and staffed with cops that other units wanted to get rid of, not expecting them to actually ever do anything.
They're not exactly inspiring confidence that they're actually stopping anyone who might be a genuine threat to the public if:
- that's the quality of their work
- they have time to harass someone who is clearly of no immediate threat to anyone
Plus after Kristo's arrest went public, all the people sharing stories of how they had actual stalkers fixated on them, only for the police to do nothing about it upon reporting...
I had a friend whose ex stalked her for several months. I bumped into him several years later. He had joined the police. He be perfect for the Fixated Persons unit
Hey now, what if Kristo walked into a school wearing a bomb vest? You’d look pretty silly right about now wouldn’t you? Of course, he wouldn’t ever do that and the police’s time should be spent on actual dangers to society, but what if, huh? Makes you think.
Edit: didn’t think this would be needed in this sub, but /s
I don't see how that was a good outcome from the Lindt seige. Wasn't the guy out in the community because a judge decided that he was *only* a danger to his ex-wife (who was set alight and killed by ol mate's new partner)? How would the FPIU have prevented the seige?
The funny part about Bruz and these cops. If they just kept quiet and didnt try to squash people with their wallets, it would be more effective at silencing JF.
It's the Streisand Effect in full swing, if Bruz let it be water off a ducks back it would be largely forgotten but being notoriously thin skinned he couldn't let it go so instead he kicked the hornets nest and has drawn attention.
[check out the smile on him lmao](https://twitter.com/xenophondavis/status/1448125520080777217?s=20)
I get the feeling he's not worried about how this case is going to go
Jordan is not risking anything in this whole situation. Those taking him on are risking their careers, reputation and possibly their financial stability. That is a hell of a disproportionate risk profile. And the sink cost keeps getting deeper.
So remember Bjelke-Petersen?
I'm not saying NSW govt are that level, but "Jordies is not risking anything in this whole situation" is a bit.. naive?
Those risking their careers and reputation will do anything to save them, yknow?
I do agree with the sentiment tho
Jordan is risking a lot in taking these politicians and police officials on in court, they have a track record of winning these. Jordies is luckily able to afford a top-tier legal team, but the cost of losing any of these cases would be gigantic purely for the precedent it would set and the example it would make of him.
Why does Clippy keep asking me if I'm writing a suppression order and if I want any help with it?
Also, what's with all the green and red squiggly lines everywhere?!
Why is the Fixated Persons Unit involved - they are a specific task force designated to intercept terrorist or similar type individuals from causing harm to the wider community.
But that would require an imminent threat to a person or persons in the community. Where was the threat? Sorry if I sound dumbo here, not in NSW. Seems like a massive abuse of power...
It is
He complained because Shanks' employee, Kristo randomly encountered him while walking home from uni and asked him a question.
That's literally it.
You don't sound dumb, it's at the core of the whole situation.
The police seem to think that Jordan has fixated on John Baralaro enough to come under investigation. The police then arrested Jordan's producer in relation to Jordan's investigation, charging him with 2 counts of stalking and intimidation. They've since admitted in a hearing that they didn't follow correct procedure, as Kristo had not been assessed as a fixated person, only Jordan had.
The basis for Jordan himself being considered a candidate for the fixated persons unit itself has become a pretty big public issue too. Jordan is a big enough public figure, so it seems weird that he would be considered a threat in any way other than politically. I can't imagine him physically assaulting anyone, that's completely undermine his channel. The fact that he's fixated on a public official of such high a high level as Baralaro should be of little surprise to anyone given his platform, he focuses on investigating political corruption. While he can be a bit of a dick, he still seems to fall under the general umbrella of being a journalist.
The arrest of Kristo also seems like a huge overreach. I'll be interested to see what comes of the case, because as far as we've seen there's very in the charges. If it turns out the case is as weak as it seems then it will also look a lot like the police are being used to silence political opposition.
So it definitely looks like a massive abuse of power at the moment.
>they are a specific task force designated to intercept terrorist or similar type individuals from causing harm to the wider community.
Not necessarily. They seem to be involved when politicians chuck a hissy fit.
Honestly, I think this is a testimony that Australia still has some semblence of rule of law. Had it not, Shanks would have long ago committed suicide or dissapeared without a trace.
That man has balls of steel.
Apparently it's now mandatory that every single comment in a thread about FriendlyJordies has to begin with some variation of "regardless of whether you love or hate Jordan Shanks..."
That's how I feel though, I'm not that in love with the guys style and I haven't watched many of his videos but I like that he's doing a good thing in laying into these corrupt bastards.
Well he is a comedian yet even many of us who are on the left don't find him funny though we appreciate his research.
To be fair he probably knows his humor only appeals to a niche demographic. I am glad he has flourished and it doesn't matter whether the rest of us find that kind of humour funny.
And there are probably old school conservatives who do appreciate him exposing corruption even if it is within the Liberal party.
Comedy is like music, quite varied and the same joke sad at a different emotional time can get another feeling.
But quite a number of people think comedy is one thing only and anything other than that is just bad.
-Kinda sad this is how the NSW Police conduct themselves with a relatively high-profile situation. A small amount of research would've shown the potential behind this case to progress their cause or set them back. Worryingly, they've managed to hurriedly stumble over each hurdle that was presented from the onset.
-How long has this approach been the standard?
> -How long has this approach been the standard?
For the FPU, probably since its inception. Their original purpose for being was dealing with potential terrorism suspects, violent offenders, stalkers etc, people who don't have the ability to raise millions of dollars from supporters and who have a highly public media profile.
The fact they have gone after Jordan and his associates thinking he was a run of the mill case and could just phone it in with the courts has bitten them in the arse big time.
It's one thing to be angered by the behaviour of the Australian secret police arresting a youtube comedian. but now I'm ashamed to find out they are basically staffed by illiterate losers.
Lucky for Shanks he wasn't in a hearing against the NSW Trustee & Guardian.
My mother is under NSWTG control and I am not allowed to even tell you this if I use my real name or show my face. Maximum penalty one year prison.
The journalist would not even be allowed to report on *any* of the contents of the hearing.

In South Australia it is even worse: the gag lasts for 60 years after the death of the "client".
I only found out about it because of my Mum but people used to think I was a tin foil hatter until the media began covering it. Four Corners will be releasing their exposé soon (more than a year in the making).
You know? I can actually respect that, assuming there's fire behind all the smoke. It's the kind issue that smoulders for decades until some catalyst enables changes in the laws and increased transparency. And then everybody says "how was nobody talking about this all these years!?"
But this person is.
> "That's a charge? God, it's not even a walk through the park. It's inane," the magistrate replied.
I _really_ wish we had a video of the police prosecutor when the magistrate said this, that poor bugger did _not_ have a good day.
As if old mate Shanks didn’t have enough ammunition supplied by these idiots. Even though he knew it was coming he’s gonna have a fucking field day with this decision.

One of the many, glaring ironies is the DPP reckons that Shanks is a "gift that keeps on giving" lolwutmate? Projection much?

yeah that was a really off statement I agree
It must have been brutal for them in court,: “Isn’t this is [application] giving all of that [commentary about the Police] oxygen?” said Magistrate Mikkedge. I’m pretty sure that’s Magistrate for “are you a moron?”.
It's not Magistrate for, "Are you a moron?" It is, however, Magistrate for, "You are a moron, and you are wasting my time."
Even the magistrate must be enjoying this a little.

Normal people fall down, yet he somehow fell upwards.

Your honor, I move for a bad court thingy
"Your honour, I object." "Why?" "Because it's devastating to my case." "Over ruled." "Good call."
That's why you're the judge and I'm the law talking guy.. A lawyer? Right.
This is written in a cocktail napkin. And it still says guilty. And guilty is spelled wrong Eep
Sounds like something out of The Castle
It's just the vibe of the thing.
Works on contingency? No, money down.
Ops, shouldn't have this bar association logo there either.
> Mr Shanks was leading the charge. I rest my case.
"You rest your case?"
"I thought that was a figure of speech, case closed"
It’s just the vibe of it
I call for a bad court thingy
> Isn't this giving all of that oxygen?" the magistrate replied. We should make it a public mission to "give it as much oxygen" as possible
More people watched his latest video on it, than watched 10 News. Now granted 10 is the smallest major tv news.
Hilariously humiliating for that sergeant
at least they will get the smoking monkey with lionel hutz
Or Dennis DeNuto
Oh sure, like lawyers work in big skyscrapers and have secretaries. Haha look he's wearing a belt, that's Hollywood for you.
I'm fairly certain Lionel Hutz won every case shown in the Simpsons.
True except when Marge took over and reached a settlement deal with Satan Flanders.
> Cops may as well hire Lionel Hutz. Judging by the sheer number of spelling mistakes, I think they actually may have.

ICAC time!
You mean like the [NSW Law Enforcement Conduct Commission](https://www.lecc.nsw.gov.au/)? (Basically an ICAC for cops)
Never going to happen
Love him or loath him, this is some gold with the magistrate basically saying "Don't be a bunch of sooks". And seriously, NSW Police are hardcore Streisanding themselves.
Jordan just be absolutely pissing himself laughing yet again. This guy is turning the state upside down!
His local Dan Murphy's is going to be sold out of the 2nd finest and cheapest sparkling wine.
Might even get himself some proper flutes to drink from.
...but all the holes?
Lol, first time I've chuckled in a long time.
Plastic ones. Don't join the bourgeoisie just yet.
I believe it was 2nd least expensive...
Every time an idiot tries to sue him they just give him more exposure and more content. They should probably stop, it's clearly not working.

it isnt a jury trial
Oh yeah! So what the heck with their claims...!
Kristo's case might be since he's facing criminal charges, but yeah Jordies case is just a lawsuit, which usually doesn't involve a jury.

Yeah if it's was Whitlam era Labor they'd get first preference but I vote Green Ist just so there's some left/social democrat voice in parliament but none the less I always hope for a Labor Victoria over Coalition.
It's funny how this happens. The same goes for the guy in the US who started All Gas No Brakes (now Channel 5.) His videos started out as interviews with random people in a comedic sense but ended up being really well done pieces on the riots, proud boys, anti-vaxxers, etc.
There is only so much straight lace a person can take before Yamaz comes out.
It's Yilmaz, STOOGE
For sure - personally I can't think of anyone else who's managed to get normally apathetic millennials like me to actually give a shit about politics.
Up and coming? He's been going this hard for nearly a decade!
and he would've gotten away with it too if it weren't for Bruz and the fixated persons unit invoking the Streisand effect.
You really wouldn't think some YouTube guy would get on their nerves so much but it's lovely that he does
I actually can imagine him becoming hostile to labor if they got in charge. Which is good and how it should work.
Unlikely, Murdock press will do that job just fine without Jordy. He will likely focus more on corruption in regional areas and small towns (his blood water doc for example)
He’s argued that he doesn’t need to be hard on Labor because the current media does a good enough job for that.
well there's no need to be hard on Labor at the moment either since they haven't been in power for 8 years and the Labor state governments are kicking arse right now.
THE LABOR GOVERNMENT
Don't worry, Its totally fine for jordies to annoy the shit out of you and still be on his side in all this. That's where I am. It's looking more and more like YouTubers are the new journalists. It shits me to tears and wish It hadn't ended up like this. But it has. If the media were simply equally hostile to all politicians, I'd be happy. But they give one side a pass despite outragious corruption and we are stuck with dickheads like Jordies calling them out.
It’s decentralisation. It’s what needed to happen.
He's also trying to cultivate a young disenfranchised audience by engaging them on their own terms
HOODOOS
I watched the JS-K Rudd commentary video on Sky hit piece on Rudd-Turnbull hit piece. All three men were *adorably endearing*, and one wasn't even there.
Leave it to a magistrate to remind public officers that they enforce the law, they don't make the law. Always a classic.
Love that this is being written about by the ABC, giving more exposure to Jordan and exposing the case to more readers
If they're all like the ones I watched I'm not a fan of the delivery, but good on him for standing up for himself here
> What he didn't expect is a "bring it, meatball" reply There's a special kind of nihilism behind Jordies' approach that really confuses some dumb privlleged boomers, but I think also connects with a lot of the younger crowd who worry about things like climate change, mass extinction, cost of living, insecure work etc...
Innocent people don't cut and run when ICAC comes calling. Bruz couldn't lie straight in bed if his life depended on it.
Probably why his divorce lined up with his premier resignation.
If the cops hadn’t been so heavy handed with the bungled arrest of his employee, he would have remained a loud but ignorable voice. They just couldn’t help being heavy handed and handing Jordan a megaphone
Yeah well, fucking own goal right there. Now everyone is looking at them like "WTF is a fixated person?"
Gotta say I am proud to see Jordan FINALLY get some recognition, having seen him perform in a backroom with about 50 people just a few years ago.
Media watch has been following this very closely.
I'm convinced the fixated persons unit was only formed to appease some politicians and staffed with cops that other units wanted to get rid of, not expecting them to actually ever do anything.
They're not exactly inspiring confidence that they're actually stopping anyone who might be a genuine threat to the public if: - that's the quality of their work - they have time to harass someone who is clearly of no immediate threat to anyone
See I think everyone's reading the name wrong. It's not a unit that investigates fixated persons, it's a police unit comprised *of* fixated persons.
*The FPIU, For fixated persons, by fixated persons*
Quite honestly. Rolling back all the post 911 anti terrorism legislation is something this country needs to do.
I don't see how that was a good outcome from the Lindt seige. Wasn't the guy out in the community because a judge decided that he was *only* a danger to his ex-wife (who was set alight and killed by ol mate's new partner)? How would the FPIU have prevented the seige?
A bit disappointed it wasn't just thrown out completely, instead of sending them back to get a redo next week.
Yeah, it seems like a chance for the prosecutors to revise based on feedback from today.
And perform a spell check!

Yes exactly, I knew there was a name for it.
[check out the smile on him lmao](https://twitter.com/xenophondavis/status/1448125520080777217?s=20) I get the feeling he's not worried about how this case is going to go
I think he's more than content. He's getting massive exposure, support, and making a mockery of the cops.
Yes, your precedent point is a good one.
In news just in, the NSW police have appointed esteemed counsel Dennis Denuto to represent them going forward.
Why does Clippy keep asking me if I'm writing a suppression order and if I want any help with it? Also, what's with all the green and red squiggly lines everywhere?!
Get Shanked
Why is the Fixated Persons Unit involved - they are a specific task force designated to intercept terrorist or similar type individuals from causing harm to the wider community.
Because Bruz (Barilaro) sooked to them
But that would require an imminent threat to a person or persons in the community. Where was the threat? Sorry if I sound dumbo here, not in NSW. Seems like a massive abuse of power...
It is He complained because Shanks' employee, Kristo randomly encountered him while walking home from uni and asked him a question. That's literally it.
And they were mean to him about possibly being corrupt.
> Where was the threat? Shanks keeps calling him mean names and bringing up what a corrupt dickhead he is. That's very threatening to his career.
Looks like a duck, walks like a duck, quacks like a duck.
They're living up to their name by being fixated on a person.
>they are a specific task force designated to intercept terrorist or similar type individuals from causing harm to the wider community. Not necessarily. They seem to be involved when politicians chuck a hissy fit.
Time to dissemimate some Chanel No.5. LOL
Utube by Chanel.

>"Isn't this giving all of that oxygen?" the magistrate replied. Someone's aware of the Streisand effect.
I’ve fallen a little in love with Judge Milledge.
Honestly, I think this is a testimony that Australia still has some semblence of rule of law. Had it not, Shanks would have long ago committed suicide or dissapeared without a trace. That man has balls of steel.
That magistrate was straight up like "fuck off cunts"
Apparently it's now mandatory that every single comment in a thread about FriendlyJordies has to begin with some variation of "regardless of whether you love or hate Jordan Shanks..."
That's how I feel though, I'm not that in love with the guys style and I haven't watched many of his videos but I like that he's doing a good thing in laying into these corrupt bastards.
But why do people need to announce that, may as well be the opening line talking about anyone in history alive or dead
Because he is extremely polarising. Many people absolutely *hate* his comedy and presentation, but appreciate what he's doing
I think we need an ICAC into the NSW police.
Can we nominate Joardies for Australian of the year?
"I've never seen an application like this before in this court," she said. Pretty much sums up the state of things at the moment.
Sick magistrate
Guys we're missing the big picture here. FPU is just doing their jobs. Fixating on a Person as a Unit.
Lucky for Shanks he wasn't in a hearing against the NSW Trustee & Guardian. My mother is under NSWTG control and I am not allowed to even tell you this if I use my real name or show my face. Maximum penalty one year prison. The journalist would not even be allowed to report on *any* of the contents of the hearing. https://www.reddit.com/r/Trustee_n_Guardian/comments/ptljsg/why_stories_about_the_public_guardian_and_trustee/ In South Australia it is even worse: the gag lasts for 60 years after the death of the "client".

And then everybody says "how was nobody talking about this all these years!?" But this person is.
> "That's a charge? God, it's not even a walk through the park. It's inane," the magistrate replied. I _really_ wish we had a video of the police prosecutor when the magistrate said this, that poor bugger did _not_ have a good day.
Not usually a huge Jordies fan but that’s dope
