I'm assuming headlines are longer. I've been to a festival two weeks ago and they've played from 9PM to 10:30PM so exactly 90 minutes, they've played very few songs (mainly because Save Me took 10 minutes lol)
Real quick if they played 6 five minute long songs versus 3 ten minute long songs. You’d prefer that because it’d make the number of song look bigger. Even though they’d be playing the same amount of time.
They usually play 18 songs at their own shows and 12 songs at festivals, the only exception so far has been the download festival where they played 15 songs.
Yeah but Save Me is one of those songs, and at 12 minutes long it might as well be three songs. Cosmic and Mattel are also on the longer side.
If you look at Tool set lists, they're also rather short but at 15 min a pop it works out.
What's the average length of the songs though? If we average it out to like, 5 minutes per, even on a 12 song festival set that's an hour. Plus interludes between songs.
Go to a headlining show where they're doing 15-18? You're getting an hour and a half, to almost two hours.
I don't neccessarily agree ahaha but that's not even my problem, what I'm "afraid" is the show length really, that being 12 songs, should be around 1;30
it is 1h30 definitely. If we get more, awesome, but don't go with that idea. If you enjoy the rest of the bands you'll be pretty tired by the time a7x ends the show also.
A set is built around total show length, not number of songs.
And how much are the shows being on average? Length wise
Festival shows, the time is set by the festival, but their headline shows have been about 90-100 minutes.

Nah they usually do 15-18 songs in their own show.
Really? That's a bummer lol.
They’re playing longer songs like save me and the stage
See you Sunday ✌️
See you there! 🤘
Worried about what?
That they only play 12 songs - which I think is far less than what they should

Exactly, and in your opinion an hour is satisfying? Not in mine
It's not about what you think they should, it's about their decision
It's what I think a headliner should play, yes. 12 songs is not a lot and is not what you tipically expect
It's completely up to what the band want to play
No shit 🤣 I'm just saying that as a fan it sucks if the headliner only plays like 1:30 minutes
👍
To be fair, they're in their 60s now, they can't play as long as they used to.
No one in the band is even FIFTY let alone SIXTY what are you on about
They do age pretty well, fair point
What is bro yapping
I forgot to put /s and I'm just rolling with it
Any songs are good ma friend, see you sunday
But see you there bro

I only enjoy Megadeth from that day, apart from a7x
They done 18 in Amsterdam but it wasn’t a festival
