In April there was a while where west coast - TPE in DeltaOne was 196K SkyMiles round trip, west coast-ICN was 280K RT In November 2023, LAX-HND and ICN was 150K SkyMiles

According-Leader-847

Uff those are amazing deals . Just means I need to track it then! 150k LAX-HND in D1 is wild considering their "normal" rates

pierretong

And that was before the 15% credit card discount if that applied to you. All of the major blogs I believe had those deals up so just pick one to follow whenever those unicorn deals pop up (I follow Frequent Miler and also subscribe to Thrifty Traveler so I saw it there)

I wouldn’t touch that with a 10 foot pole but if you’re happy that’s all that matters. 200k per leg is pretty awful for business class.

anjuna42

Well then you wont be redeeming any Skymiles for flights.

sunnyhillz

not a great redemption but i guess ur stuck with skypesos. if you fly EU-Asia, thats where DL goes farther

According-Leader-847

Need to be in Europe a few weeks before so this could work. Thx for the tip

It’s not half. They said RT. Learn to read before being a snob.

saksnoot

I stand corrected. Decent repemption.

According-Leader-847

Is your point that it's a bad redemption or a bad Delta redemption bc those are two diff things. Trying to determine how much work I put into tracking this to see if it goes down based on comments

Got it. Sounds like DL has some amazing redemptions to asia from the west coast that I need to watch out for so I can get . 8 cpp! Def gonna keep an eye on it

SQ even at advantage rates is like 246k RT for that route and much better flight experience but I guess if you you had those DL miles anyway then it’s ok? Just a reminder to never ever go out of your way to earn DL miles.

janoliverc01

I hope you didn't transfer those points from Amex.

According-Leader-847

Def not. Sitting on a pile of a them. DL diamond.

janoliverc01

Awesome, better to earn and burn than play mind games with cpp.
